I'm sorry that I don't think this coaster is amazing. I just think Intamin would done way better if they done this project. Even though I highly doubt Cedar Fair will ever build a Intamin again, I still think they could have done way better. Now I think if Cedar Fair wanted to be original they would have made the first B&M "Giga Twister". Something Raging Bull, but 10x better. That just my opinion though. I never said "You must say this ride is amazing". All I said was that calling a 325 foot tall coaster boring is ridiculous. But I don't want to get into a battle over this, so moving on... I absolutely love the color scheme. That shade of blue is amazing and the green and white compliment it so well. I do like the color choices Cedar Fair are choosing for their new rides. -

Gosh, we enthusiasts are getting pickier and pickier. Never in a million years would I have expected somebody to say a 325 foot tall coaster looks "boring". -

The Dippin' Dots guy told me that they're building a Time Machine. -

I can't be the only one who absolutely loves the teaser videos parks are creating for their major coasters. I mean, Banshee, Thunderbird, and Fury 325 have epic videos that are addictive. -

This coaster has shook up my family's travel plans for 2015. Looks to be an amazing coaster, even better than MF. -
Most Overrated coaster?
Woodie Warrior replied to BlackWidow's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I agree that Goliath is overrated (especially those who favor it over Outlaw Run), but it does have some great moments, like you mentioned, and I really don't see how it is a waste of space. -
I love the whole futuristic theme park concept. I mean, this game is really tipping the whole "roller coaster video game" concept on its head. In RCT3 and whatnot, you are supposed to build realistic parks and rides. In this one, they actually WANT you to make the most unrealistic rides ever, even complete death machines. Sounds freaking awesome to me.

Favorite Summers/Dinn Coaster Poll
Woodie Warrior replied to djw44's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have only ridden two of these: Mean Streak and Thunder Run. I rode both of these for the first time this summer, and Mean Streak won. Both have really boring layouts, and both were surprisingly smooth. I just thought Thunder Run's layout was extra boring. -
You didn't watch the video, I gather. They were very clear that Demon is NOT leaving in 2015, and from the way they were speaking about it, it didn't sound like they have any plan to take it down any time in the near future. Nope, I did not. But I'm glad that Demon doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. It's a really unique coaster.

Yeah, I didn't think Blue Streak was anything special. I didn't really get any airtime, and while the ride wasn't necessarily rough, the trains made it feel like you were sitting right on the track. Kill me, but my ride on Hades this summer wasn't rough at all. There is one part before the lift hill where there is a really steep, short drop where you get punched in the gut, but that's about it. Zeus was extremely rough though.

Here's another thing that pisses me off about this announcement...and almost every announcement other than Outlaw Run the last 6 or 7 years. Look, I'm not asking the park to put in a new Outlaw Run every year. Far from it. But every year I drive 4 hours to SDC, and then into Branson, passing old CC, and the terribly wasteful opportunity that is Ozark Wildcat just sitting there doing nothing. I was lucky enough to ride it many times the first year it was open, as well as most of the other rides in the Celebration City collection. But to just let OzCat rot and do nothing with it, and to watch SDC add pedestrian stuff like the Barn Swing and everything in the Grand Exposition while the OzCat sits and rots kind of upsets me. I love SDC. Its my home away from my home park. I've been there more times in the last 10 years than Six Flags St Louis, which is about 30 minutes away from where I live (as opposed to 4 hours away). I still absolutely adore SDC. But after leaving OzCat to rot for 5 years, I have to question WTF is happening with the company. And when the big announcement is kiddie rides and an 8-story drop tower, I have to call BS. This announcement is a big bag of sucky kiddie suckness. No one could possibly convince me otherwise... They're replacing a run-down family area with a new, fresh family area. There isn't any reason to complain.

Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread
Woodie Warrior replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't think adding Timberliners is the solution. -
I got a shirt that says "This guy likes to ride" in huge text and "Coasters at Six Flags" in little text at the bottom. I didn't realize the innuendo until my friends started making fun of it. I decided to stop wearing the shirt for good when while wearing it to a grocery store, an old lady stopped me to tell me she thought it was hilarious.

Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread
Woodie Warrior replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah..........no. Holiday World spent (I forget how many) years trying to get them to work on the Voyage. They definitely wouldn't want to go through all that work for nothing again. -
Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread
Woodie Warrior replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't get the complaints that this isn't another OMFG THAT WAS SO AMAZING BEST COASTER EVA addition. Hersheypark does not need another ride like that (at least not right now). If they only added thrill rides, it'd eventually turn into a park full of rowdy teenagers. They need family additions to get the whole family to want to come. I really don't understand the complaints AT ALL. The theming looks spectacular and even if it isn't a custom ride, it's still a NEW COASTER. -
Yeah, no. That shirt should definitely not be allowed in a family amusement park. It really isn't patriotic at all, it just promotes violence and war. Also, the fact that the guy started telling everybody he saw that "he was a Marine" and that "he should be allowed to wear a Marine shirt" just irks me. I thank everybody who served in the military, but they shouldn't be able to break rules just because they're a veteran.

Same here, foam ball cannons are a necessity for any park, my home park has a maximum 54" hieght requirement so I have to steal a child. I hope that SDC doesn't pt a max height on their foam ball park. Geyser Gulch didn't have a height requirement but that was a much larger fort. The foam ball area seems to be a lot smaller now, so I'm wondering if they'll make it for little kids only in order to deal with crowd control. I really love the look of the area and think it will blend in much better than Geyser Gulch ever did.
