  1. Ooh, gauntlets thrown. I'll have you know that it's the pipiest and screamiest coaster at Cedar Point, and I defy anyone to say otherwise.
  2. Awesome day! It does not get better than Hershey/Knoebels back to back. I also really liked the restaurant just outside the gate, really looking forward to what they're able to do with the new one. Skyrush death seat FTW!
  3. At least they had one coaster under an hour.
  4. It's a small market park in a rust belt town. If you live in St. Louis and don't understand your city's status in this country, then the blame is squarely on you.
  5. This is pretty exciting. All the stuff in this new entrance area sounds the same as the existing stuff. They already have a Starbucks, merch shop, and full service restaurant outside the gates. But the entrance area really is too small for this park, and having bigger versions of everything will really help out. Plus, B&M hypers are fun, and if it helps spread out the crowds for lower wait times on Skyrush, I'm all for it. With this, Legoland, and American Dream...NYC/PA trip is gonna have to happen.
  6. Awesome! Totally agreed with you on Gale Force. It's really fun. Nice to see all the stuff I skipped on my Jersey Shore Credit Escort day.
  7. Hollywood Studios is late fall 2019: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/destinations/hollywood-studios/star-wars-galaxys-edge/ Disneyland is summer 2019: https://disneyland.disney.go.com/destinations/disneyland/star-wars-galaxys-edge/
  8. That is pretty interesting. I'd honestly be a bit nervous in that holding area still inside the building, but they've thought this through. Thanks for sharing!
  9. I am sure the stairs are there for people to escape the tower in the event of an emergency that knocks out the elevators. The fire dept may have to climb them but most people would be running down them if they were ever put to use. Thank you SO MUCH! I never would have figured that out if you hadn't posted what you did. This is IMMENSELY valuable information, since I clearly didn't know it before and certainly couldn't have been referring to the Scale the Strat Marathon that was discussed in the post directly above.
  10. Climbing that many stairs sounds terrible, but you know, it's not the stupidest decision you could make in Las Vegas.
  11. A theme park is not a nightclub, but it's very nice. Oh yes, it's very nice.
  12. Cool, sounds interesting. I was a little wary of it because I don't really want people calling me at work or whatever, but creepy messages on fake social media sounds fun and perhaps enlightening in a way. I choose the bottom tier, sounds like they mess with you just a little.
  13. That was my though as well, but I'm confident they can build that out. The same could previously be said about the front end of the park back when it was just Greased Lightnin' and Road Runner. They really need to think of how to round out that area. Family attractions and concessions would really help that area out. I would think they would use that area. The Redditor probably just made as assumption that the new coaster would go in Chang's spot. Putting it between Roller Skater and Mile High Falls would be a great way to use space that's an awkward size and has some topography that makes it better for a coaster than flats.
  14. ^ Awesome! Mine is Time Traveler with my son a couple days ago.
  15. Nice report! I appreciate the Pokémon egg from Firehawk; currently walking that one. It'd better be a Kangaskhan.
  16. Awesome! This is what Invadr should have been. A fun family coaster with a 40" minimum, not too tall, not too fast, but with just enough to make it fun.
  17. Yeah, I saw Robb's video of Illumination Fantasy and my first thought was, "I remember seeing this video. That ride is great!" And then I started watching it, and it was all kinds of WTF. It's, er, not quite like the other Hello Kitty ride. I love Japanese instructions. They never tell you what to do, just remind you to do what you know you should. It's never a stop sign, it's a sign that says "Please consider others who would like to use this intersection." That garden at the end is fantastic as well.
  18. The bar looks great, but I'd be much happier if they spent the money on staffing the ones they've already got instead. What good are five bars if you only have one bartender working today?
  19. Man, that was an awesome day at Knoebels. I mean, every day at Knoebels is awesome, but you hit it all, complete with repurposing a random crap Fascination prize into something awesome. I agree with you on learning to ride Phoenix. It and Maverick are the two you really need skill to ride. I spent the last two hours of each of my two days there just riding Phoenix again and again, and you're right. At first it tries to kill you, but then you move with it and it gains this zen perfection. I say this after every Knoebels report, but I really need to get back to Knoebels.
  20. 8 Bit Pale Ale from Tall Grass in Manhattan, Kansas.
  21. No problem, thanks for making it pretty.
  22. SeaWorld San Antonio released their 2019 plans earlier today. The theme park will open a new area Turtle Reef habitat. The area will include an interactive sea turtle attraction and two rides, Riptide Rescue and Sea Swinger. Based on the concept art, Riptide Rescue appears to be a Huss Airboat. Sea Swinger appears to be a Zamperla Midi Discovery. Aquatica will see the addition of Ihu’s Breakaway Falls, a multidrop tower slide. https://www.bizjournals.com/sanantonio/news/2018/09/27/seaworld-san-antonio-aquatica-adding-new-rides-and.html
