  1. Everyone who is in the Time Saver line needs to have their own lanyard, but no there's not a way for them to know which lanyard belongs to whom.
  2. You need to find a new dealer, man. That guy is not selling you the good stuff.
  3. Yeah man, Rollies sucked. Moreys as a whole is an awesome place, but I won't shed a tear when Rollies leaves. If they put in something like Gale Force or Hydrus, they'd have a hit.
  4. I did Dorney in 3 hours. Spent 2 days at Knoebels and it wasn't enough.
  5. You don't seriously think that would stop Six Flags from advertising that, do you?
  6. Looks really good! 48" minimum, 50mph, that's the sort that my oldest would be willing to try. Love the theming. This should be fun.
  7. as I noted, I'm absolutely willing to give it a chance once it goes live and we see how they plan it to actually work, so open minded about it now. but I'd think if you pay when you order? then your food would be ready when you walk in. (one of the questions on the survey I took was basically, "when would you be willing to pay for the food" -- and the options were like: when you order, before you arrive. when you arrive at the restaurant. when you get your food). so they might be considering the options. but again, open minded and willing to give it a chance I get that. I just don't expect them to innovate at all. Right now all the fast food apps have you prepay then check in when you arrive, and Disney has followed suit. It's a model that works, and it's a relatively small percentage of customers. Six Flags will want to tap into this but not rock the boat. It's their MO.
  8. There are 4 colours of ties. Definitely 4 credits.
  9. Really? It is the biggest video game around right now. Arguably bigger than Halo, Call of Duty, or Mario! Six Flags is missing out big time by not cashing in on it's popularity right now. All three of those franchises have staying power, and Mario is the most recognized character period. Not just games, but all media. More people can recognize Mario than Ronald McDonald. But yeah, a free to play game that touts its number of downloads and won't say how many active players there are, already having to fend off multiple lawsuits....shure. They're totally missing out there.
  10. I don't know that anyone was asking whether it used to be called Superman Ride of Steel in 2005.
  11. Yeah, just go when it fits your schedule. Give them $10 for a wristband and buy something in the gift shop too. They actually have some pretty cool souvenirs. This is one place where for sure your money isn't just going to line someone's pocket. They're investing back in the park as best as they can, and every little bit helps. Then go to Waldemeer. It's a better park an hour away.
  12. The replacing every S with a $, the unnecessary violent metaphor, the pretending to be on a first name basis with a celebrity, and all packaged in an argument that was old and boring about 5 years ago--this ticks all the boxes. So satisfying.
  13. Happy birthday! If you're going to do one day at Dollywood, budget for a Time Saver Pass. There's a lot to do. We actually spent 3 days there when we went a couple of years ago. Goats on the Roof and Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster are both great, and right down the road from each other. You won't be disappointed.
  14. ^ The funny thing is this is very true. I want very badly for them to do well, even though I spent a grand total of like an hour there. I would gladly buy their $10 all day wristband again.
  15. Nice Texas trip! You got all the major stuff, glad you took some tine for the history in San Antonio. I don't know anything about the parks you're going too, sorry, but I'm glad you bumped this so I could read a trip report I missed.
  16. Let's be reasonable. Disney doesn't start making your food until you check in either. Neither do McDonald's, Sonic, or anyone else. There was always zero chance Six Flags would make your food before you check in.
  17. Those look like some great malls! I also don't usually care for malls, but when they look that good and it's that hot outside, definitely!
  18. Great report of Nagashima! I love the rest area, so thoughtful. And people actually using it for its intended purpose too. Japan is wonderful.
  19. 12 taps, seasonally rotated, and a collaboration you can only get there?
  20. I like how they're doing the reservations. Hopefully that will avoid the hours long lines to enter the land like Harry Potter had.
  21. This sounds like the best version of this trip you've done so far. I like the length of the Disney portion, really gives enough time to do everything right. I would suggest St. Pete's Beach over Clearwater, especially if you're going around Spring Break time. Otherwise I think this trip is great.
  22. Haha..good one, Andrew! Great report...love all of the fresh fruit and produce. This is like my dream fair!!! Thanks for sharing! Seconded. This really does look fun. Portillo's hot dogs are all right, but it's the beef that's really fantastic. You can get better in Chicago, but I doubt there's better in Florida.
  23. Wikipedia says 25 seconds, although none of the four citations actually gives a ride time. Regardless, it should be a short, intense experience.
  24. Oh come on now, they've got plenty of time to get both of these open before August. Photo looks great, gives a good sense of scale.
