This is absolutely false, both of Covid-19 and of chicken pox. There is a vaccine for chicken pox, and therefore no reason whatsoever to get the actual chicken pox. Vaccines work, people! Covid-19 is a serious illness. No one's saying it's not. It's just that most of us on this board are North Americans or Europeans and at the moment are extremely unlikely to encounter the virus. On top of that, most people who do get the virus survive it. That doesn't mean it's not a serious illness, just that you're probably going to recover. The conspiracy theories and outright dismissal of the threat are just as bad as the hysteria fueled by a media who just want to advertise at us for their own profit.

Yeah, we should just shut down all of Tampa for a few months. None of the 1.7 million people living in those two counties should show go to work. Yeah really. Kind of tired of the panic over Covid-19 when there are waaaay more serious things to be concerned about, like this year's flu that the vaccine isn't really helping with, or climate change, or a thousand other concerns that are far more pressing.

No, I haven't, even though I've been outside the USA several times. Just too much cultural stuff to see. Do you have a favourite Pokémon?

Oooh, a shooting dark ride would be great for Dollywood, especially since they haven't had the Flooded Mine in a while. -

^ I agree with you to an extent. This place isn't Coney Island. However, it's pretty much the only thing in Monticello/White County that generates any revenue at all. So from a purely economic point of view, the county may find it in their best interests to find a way to keep the park open, especially if the cost to do so would be less than the lost tax revenue. A much better analogy would be Conneaut Lake Park, where the local government created a non-profit trust to care for the park.
