Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

I think y'all are all taking that comment way more seriously than it was meant. Personally, I think Orion should be more Communist. All hills should be equal. -

Guess I'm just not a curmudgeon. Thanks for reminding me why I avoid that entire list of people. -

^ But how do you know what you want to change about Orion when you've never ridden it? I give Orion 11/10. They're all good coasters, Brent. -

There's never enough cinnamon bread or cave. The pirate show is really great. They spent enough on R&D that I would expect it to stick around for the next couple years at least. More excuses to come back! -

Wow...that looks incredible next to Racer. We've come a long way in 45 years. -
What parks are you visiting in 2020?
ytterbiumanalyst replied to VF15's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Haha, somebody beat me to it! This is a year where everything's really up in the air. Definitely: Silver Dollar City Maybe: Universal Studios Florida SeaWorld Orlando Busch Gardens Tampa Fun Spot Outside Chance of Happening: Disney World (will probably split off into its own trip in 2021) Disneyland/Magic Mountain/Knott's (if WCB happens and the stars align that I can go) -

It won't be generic. It will be infused with magic, because Knoebels. -

Six Flags St. Louis had an event last year. https://www.kmov.com/news/six-flags-st-louis-makes-stanley-cup-bet-with-new/article_a247ac4c-809d-11e9-b1ad-8f56d5f86694.html This event does sound pretty fun though for those who are into hockey. -

Awesome! Even if they only run Renegade, Winterfest is a pretty fun event. -

Truth. Heck, I've been going to SDC for thirty years and I don't feel like I've spent enough time there. I do feel like I've spent enough time in Branson traffic, though. I enjoyed your photos of the backstage stuff at Sight and Sound. Never actually seen a show there...because...well, it's definitely Branson. Cave tour...check. Cinnamon bread...check. Silver Dollar City complete. -
I understand that feeling. It's the scariest thing in the world to have ultimate responsibility for another human. But you'll get more confidence as time goes on. We're 12 years into this now, and it really does get easier as they get older and take on more responsibilities for themselves. Parenting is a job, and like all jobs, you gain experience and get better at it. As long as you take the job seriously, that is, and I know you will. Enjoy it. It's not nearly as scary as it seems right now.

Sweet! Have fun! I stayed there a couple of years ago and had a great time. It's really nice that once you're exhausted from riding all day, you've got a ten minute walk back. -
It's an excellent addition and I feel like it's getting passed over because it's not a coaster and Branson is pretty out of the way for a lot of people. It does seem inspired by Infinity Falls, Grizzly, Kali, and the like. It's really impressive already, and they don't have the drop built yet. This will tower over the Riverfront area. We already bought our 2020 passes, so I'll have a couple updates in the spring. Hopefully SDC's PR will have some over this winter too.

Looks good! In-kind donations can go a long way for a place like this. Thank you for giving them support and publicity. I'll definitely stop by next time I'm in PA. -

I think you're seeing what is happening and assuming it's what must happen. -
This is what I could find: http://thebankscincy.com/attractions/paul-brown-stadium/ They do tours April to mid-July on weekdays. The website didn't say what time or the minimum number of people for a tour. There's a phone number in that link though, so I'd give that a call and ask.
