  1. Can confirm. I also have literally been flushed down a toilet.
  2. Oh yeah, very nice colour scheme. I'm more excited about this slide than anything else other than SteVen.
  3. Yeah, I remembered you had enjoyed the train to WCB. Eh, you'll get to this eventually. It's not likely to go anywhere soon. Those Eurofighters are a lot of fun.
  4. That's the worst idea ever. If you agree to disagree, the terrorists win.
  5. Yeah, I get your point, and it probably is overblown a bit. I have experienced opening weekend at the three major Missouri parks, though, and they're also off at first. Even SDC, which has the best operations of the three, and is right up there with Cedar Point, Knoebels, and Disney, is off at first. It takes a few weeks before everything's humming. It's not a day killer, but it's noticeable. For me, if I'm going to spend the time and money to get to Cedar Point, I want the best experience possible. Three hours is nothing. That's about how far it is for me to get to Six Flags St. Louis, and I've driven there and back in the same day a lot. You can do that often. It takes an entire day for me to drive to Cedar Point, and a second entire day to drive back. It's a bigger investment, so I want it to be worth it. So when we've gone to parks farther away, we've done it between Memorial Day and Labour Day. Yeah, it's more expensive, and yeah it's busier. But it's also a great experience, and ultimately you don't remember the time spent in line; you remember how much fun you had. Plus, just about every park has Fast Lane if it's really bad.
  6. That sounds really great if you live close and can be okay with not everything running or running well. I live 11 hours away and can only get up there about every other year, so I'll wait for June. Still not awful lines, much better operations.
  7. That event looks pretty cool. I'm impressed. Bill, there's always Amtrak. March 23-25 is $115 round trip VAC-PDX. No idea how easy Oaks is to get to on public transit, since I've never been to Portland. Google transit's giving some circuitous routes that involve over a mile of walking, so I'm inclined to think not easy. Fortunately, Uber exists.
  8. I believe Black Panther is all clear for them to use wherever. Yeah, Wakonda is so beautiful, and there's so much culture in just brief scenes or in the backgrounds of scenes. It would make an awesome theme park land. Please do this, Disney.
  9. Right now, SW. This summer, NE. Plus or minus?
  10. One of the greatest riffs ever riffed, plus a couple of English millionaires barking. If you're not entertained by this, there's something wrong with you. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  11. The most phun coaster ever in the phrendliest park ever.
  12. Nah, I'm also an asshole to people with 2000 posts and a loyal weirdo following. It's much more fun than getting worked up over things only to be disappointed when they don't work out the way you think they will. Yup, likely. And you know, those gold passes with the HITP description still give access to HITP at those parks that have it, so it's not false advertising.
  13. Except that Gold season passes also include admission to other parks, including other parks' HITP events. Got one of these maybe?
  14. With seasonal parks, you have to plan around THE ENTIRE PARK BEING CLOSED. I'm not understanding how you think that having one or two rides closed is worse than not being able to go at all.
  15. Looks good, and they have lamb! And yeah, once you get done with tax and tip it's about $20 USD, and that's a lot for a burger. The good places end up around $13-15 usually though, so not that much more than normal.
  16. Everything looks awesome, but I think I'd most enjoy the wild boar sausage. I actually have had that before thanks to a friend who likes to hunt and share what he's hunted. Sea World's version looks great.
  17. Well, at $20 it's less than actual surf and turf, for sort of the same thing. Also, today that's $15.93 in real dollars.
  18. The last time I drove one in 2003 I could. Haven't tried since then, so I think I'd be rather rusty. Bought a 2000 Honda Civic with automatic that year, which I still have. Great car. Have you been ice skating this winter?
  19. Magnum Twitter or a carrier pigeon?
  20. This sounds right to me. SDC also has the after 3, next day free, but on days they're open late, such as Moonlight Madness and Old Time Christmas, it's 5PM. Really, there's enough stuff to do at Dollywood that as first time visitors we didn't consider the promotion. We instead got the 3 day tickets and spent the first day on rides, the second day at the waterpark, and the third day at museums and shows. That was really a great way to do it, and there's plenty of stuff to do to fill all three days.
  21. This is really cool, thanks for putting the time and effort into it. I love nerdy stuff like this.
  22. These Game of Thrones glasses at a flea market for $6.
  23. Oh sweet, that's a really great idea. A lot of zoos have similar programmes (our local zoo has done that for years), and the kids get a kick out of it. Plus, it's basically advertising for the park. I love that they have a customizable option, because I need their bull brought to my kids' elementary school please. For education.
  24. Helices, pronounced "HEEL-ih-sees." Words of Greek origin ending in -ex have a weird plural, like vortices (plural of vortex), vertices (plural of vertex), and Kleenices (plural of Kleenex).
