  1. Oh man, you NAILED IT. That is absolutely the best way to begin any post in the Dorney thread.
  2. I really respect you for sticking up for your boy Jay-Z like that.
  3. Don't think I have. We don't get a lot of beer from that region around here either. We do have one specialty wine shop in town that carries a lot of things no one else has, so I may have to see if they have one.
  4. Oh wow, that's an incredible deal if you can get it. I got the $40 out of state deal, and it's totally worth it. 4 hours is plenty if you're not doing the waterpark.
  5. Love R.E.M., and that's one of my favourites of theirs. Turned me on to Andy Kauffman. He was a f*cking genius, and absolutely underappreciated. Definitely some mental issues too, but every genius does.
  6. I agree that it would fit in that space. It would swing out farther, but it'd be way up in the air when it's over existing paths, so it'd be fine. That said, I think the park knows Excalibur is a draw and wants to keep it running if possible. I don't ever want to ride it, but I do want it to stick around because I know people love it.
  7. I looove that countdown clock! That's a good beer too, it was at Cedar Point a couple of years ago. IPA is my favourite style, and they make a really good double. Missouri is about half French and half German, so we actually do have some pretty good beer and wine here. Of course the Busch family were German immigrants, and Budweiser is still a major employer here. In the last 20 years or so, new breweries have popped up all over the state, and I couldn't be happier. On the wine side, St. James Winery makes a damn good Riesling. I may be biased, but I think Missouri makes the best wines on the continent after California.
  8. Which way is an intamin inverted impulse turning? Is it turning at all? Is a twist a turn? MUST KNOW.
  9. Ooh, that's much better than $210 for a Cedar Point Platinum Pass. Who wants to go an hour away and ride stuff that actually exists and will be operating in 2 months?
  10. Oh hey, the guy who started this GoFundMe has read your post and responded to it. Thought I'd share what he had to say:
  11. Cool, this might be something I enjoy more than the VR coasters, if I even get to Busch Gardens before it leaves. I didn't hate New Revolution, just ambivalent about the VR. This looks like it might be fun.
  12. Kinda like it looks, sounds like "no such thing". Nice. MOAR NIENTYS!!!9! [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] I can totally rock all these sweet dance moves. #humblebrag
  13. Happy weekend y'all! Trying out Old 63 Pilsner from Bur Oak Brewing Co. in Columbia, Missouri. This one doesn't have quite as good a backstory as my last; US-63 is the main north-south route through Columbia. A few years ago the route was moved to a new four lane freeway, and the old two-lane road through the centre of town was renamed "Old 63." Super creative people there at our state's land grant university. Oh well, Mizzou has a good health care system at least. And a racist football programme. But good doctors. Remember they have good doctors and good beer. That's the takeaway here.
  14. Ha, very nice shoutout to my cluelessness and general dumbassery last year. Looks like you had a great time in LA and got to do a lot in just a few days. West Coaster's not great, but I LOVED Santa Monica Pier. Actually only rode the coaster and the Ferris wheel then just walked the pier and soaked in the music and atmosphere the rest of the night. It's a really great place in spite of not having a great coaster. I liked In 'n' Out's burger too, very good for fast food. I didn't think the fries were too bad myself, but then again, you come from a real food town, and I come from the home of cashew chicken.
  15. Mall of America has a better log flume than Knoebels.
  16. Pretty sure he means SDC, the ride manufacturer, not the park. https://intermarkridegroup.com/roller-coasters/windstorm-sdc-rc1334
  17. Cool, looks good to me. Glad to have something new to look at while appearing productive at work.
  18. Ooh, cannot watch that one. That flashing....not good. They have a lot of good videos, but Sabotage is just the best. I actually listened to a bunch of their stuff again yesterday. I'm partial to Hello Nasty & To the 5 Boroughs, but I'm sure that's largely a function of age. I was 14 & 20 respectively when those albums were released, and that's prime Beastie age.
  19. Maybe it's time to start a petition. Think bigger, Zach. Start a GoFundMe so you can get free money and have zero responsibility to actually do anything.
  20. ^ Wow, that's pretty good. Haven't heard of them before, and not sure how to pronounce it honestly, but I like it. My mid 90s kick is continuing today. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
