  1. ^ Those answers are actually very important. They exist as flags for people who aren't paying attention to the survey. Helps to ensure someone who just enters strongly agree to every question doesn't skew the results.
  2. Oh, there's plenty of those in the Smokies too. 5 total I think.
  3. Oh wow, that looks so cool. Definitely going on the list when I get back to Dollywood.
  4. Then the Russians would have used it to make Trump President instead of Facebook. Unfortunately for time travelers, literally nothing else would be different. What if John Coltrane had never picked up a saxophone?
  5. S&S Combo. Rode the one at Hersheypark. So good. Omega or omicron?
  6. I'm thinking not as many people will fly to the Derby this year. They won't want to put their horses in the overhead compartment.
  7. Glad you had a great time! Sounds like you got to do everything you wanted, and you hit the two most important things: cave and cinnamon bread. Agreed on Justice League as well; that's a fantastic ride, and the one I think Six Flags actually does better than SDC.
  8. Oh sweet! DCA is set to get a whole lot better with Pixar Pier and now this!
  9. Outlaw Run, but just barely. Pennsylvania or Ohio?
  10. I think a good chunk of the population don't actually have morals, they just do what they're told. Thoughtfulness is and always has been rare. I don't think people are stupider now than they were 10 years ago, it's just that it's easier to broadcast your stupidity now. A decade ago I would have pointed and laughed at that guy and maybe told some friends about him, but now I took a photo with my phone and put it up on the Internet for everyone to point and laugh. Therein is the difference.
  11. Oh wow, that's crazy. Half a foot? I wouldn't want to be outside in that at all. Wouldn't blame them if they did close the park. (Oh and in MO it's 74 and sunny on Saturday) Have fun in VA though!
  12. Weather looks great for opening day on Saturday! Plus Namtab!
  13. Oh wow, Boysenberry Festival and a kickass K'nex coaster! This thread suddenly got an injection of awesomeness.
  14. Excellent. Great Adventure opens this weekend then? The one in St. Louis opens this Saturday.
  15. ^ That is a beautiful video. I don't have any 4K screens, but it looks vibrant, especially for a Missouri winter. During the delay, he did try to grab my arm a couple of times and get me to go further down the queue. I kept having to explain that we will ride it, just a few minutes. Helped that we stopped right at the top of the stairs from first floor to second, so we could see out the windows at the trains that were testing.
  16. 1 hour 40 minutes, but that includes a 23 minute delay. I never saw it posted longer than an hour on the app. It was a rainy day, so that probably drove away a few.
  17. California Saskatchewan or Montana?
  18. Congratulations! I know you're working on that as a health/weight loss thing, so keep it up!
  19. Yes, green screen. Thanks! That is evil, and I totally approve. That was a first for me, seeing someone parked in a place that isn't a spot. That marker on your map is super far away, but there actually are a couple more lots even farther south on Indian Point Road. If you're looking on Google Maps, find Deer Run Motel. There's a road that comes off of Indian Point right across from there and runs parallel to it for a long way. That's SDC overflow parking all along there. Put that jackass at the end of that road/parking lot. Guaranteed they will never find their car.
  20. Best operations I've seen are at Disneyland, Silver Dollar City, Cedar Point, Dollywood, and Knoebels.
  21. Dollywood must have gotten a good deal on that astroturf. Seems really weird to see it, but I'm sure there's a reason.
  22. Knoebels is a great park, in some aspects better than Hershey. When I went, I spent 1 1/2 days with the preview at Hershey, and 2 full days at Knoebels, and I think that's the way to do it right. You can do everything at Knoebels in a single day, but you're going to run around in a very un-Knoebels-like manner to try to get it all in. If all you have is 2 days, then you should do as AJ suggested. But try for a minimum of 3, 1 full day at Knoebels, then 2nd day starting at Knoebels then going to Hershey for preview, then the 3rd all day at Hershey. That will be a much better experience than trying to rush through Knoebels to get to Hershey. Rushing is the antithesis of a day at Knoebels.
  23. Boulevard's Irish Ale, and a proper red, not green. Happy St. Patrick's, everyone!
  24. Ha, yeah, just totally skipped that paragraph. Don't know why, I'll blame the exhaustion. I know you guys joke about Dorney's new chicken sandwich place, but when SDC builds a chicken sandwich place, it's actually worth getting excited over. Once you've been to Dollywood or Knoebels, that'll give you an idea. I've heard really good things about Cobra's Curse, and I do intend to get to Florida at some point. If it's like a less crazy version of Time Traveler, I'll enjoy it for sure. Evan doesn't talk a whole lot, but he was very excited to go on it, and he's been watching TPR's video of it on Youtube the last couple of days. Big smile throughout and after we got off. I think he enjoyed it.
