That looks like a substantial area, and a small coaster like that would be great. At this rate, it might open before Lightning Rod does. -

Oh yeah, that boat is awesome. You get to go all around the islands and close to, but not over, the Canadian border. No passports required. -

Trip report: Fiesta Texas, 3/04/18

Very good. Disappointing Wonder Woman was delayed, but really, Fiesta Texas is such a good park. Can't wait to get back there. -

Eli, 5 acres is roughly the size of the Grand Expo at SDC. They can do a really good children's area with that amount of space. -
Yeah, I'm with you there. I was already interested in the indoor water park, but white water rafting is genuinely exciting. The Ozarks draws outdoor enthusiasts, so this is a very good fit for the area. I can totally see this being the thing that sells some people on a Branson vacation. Wow, how Branson has changed in the last five years. It's gone from a place chasing a dying clientele year after year to a place that's actually forward thinking. I'm impressed.

This is very true, but to add to it, Q1 revenue streams too. There are not a lot of ways to bring in money when the parks are closed, but memberships are being paid for throughout that time. Shareholders are going to understand revenue is down in Q1, but they'll really appreciate any attempts to mitigate the losses. They may even be profitable in Q1 due to no seasonal employees and lower overhead in the offseason.

Eh, Six Flags St. Louis has plenty of space if they really want a Discovery. They're different enough from Excalibur it's not unthinkable for them to have both. Tidal Wave's spot would be great for one, or if they don't want to remove anything, there are a number of places. Could even go east past Skyscreamer or past Ninja. I'd be all for them getting one, those rides are fun.

Really?

I would imagine season pass sales are heaviest at the beginning of summer, when there's the most value, and they taper off through the year. The membership gives you 12 months no matter when you buy it, so you can buy a membership in September confident that you'll still use it enough the next year. Plus if you like it you just keep it going, no expiration. It's really a great system, I wish more parks would do it.

Breakers Express is a good hotel. I wouldn't have any qualms about staying there. I think why you don't hear it recommended is that a lot of us just get Platinum passes when we go to CP, so the free parking and early entry perks don't benefit us. Haven't actually stayed there myself, since the Hojo half a block away is half the price and works for my purposes, but in my line of work I've worked with the CP properties a bit, and it's a good hotel. For $91, I'd say go for it. -
