I would go to all TPR Events/Trips, and give them a ton of money to do a ton of upgrading (renting out a Disney Park for example)

Mystery USA GCI Project?
jray21 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm going for Knott's. All those survey markers point to a parkwide woodie. -
^^^I'm still way off track as well. Between the two TPR trips, I haven't really ran at all! I did a major front yard overhaul, and worked hard every day, so I have been too physically exhausted to run. Just finished yesterday, so at least I have a week and a half to get in shape for the Disneyland 1/2

SeaWorld Orlando (SWO) Discussion Thread

So if I am reading this correctly, no one is ever allowed to train/work with "dangerous" animals. I could understand that one particular Killer Whale because it had problems in the past, but all animals? Dolphins can be considered dangerous animals, and according to OSHA, they shouldn't be allowed to "work within the pool walls, on ledges and on shelves." Seems a little like OSHA is stepping over it's legal reach. You could easily say the same thing about any number of professions. -
The most rare coaster credits

The old coaster at Wild Island in Reno was only open about 4 years. No one goes to Reno, so it's probably pretty rare. -

I would totally ride it! Too bad it's not around anymore. -

Powder Keg definitely met my expectations. It was such a great ride. Wildfire is also great, and the views from the top of the lift hill are amazing. The ride is really good, as long as you don't get stung by a bee -
^Must have been one hell of a night!

The food on the trip has been absolutely amazing! I have easily gained 5 pounds in just three days, and the best food park is tomorrow! But this time I won't buy all of the Cinnamon Bread, I will save at least two for everyone else I don't know how Robb and Elissa do it, but they are incredible! -

Elissa's Thoughts on the UK and Europe Trips!

The German Fair was an incredible experience. *The pretzels and Apple Strudel were the best I have ever had. *The Disco walkthrough was like an acid trip, not that I would know. *The haunted ride was awesome, and the plastic credit card tickets were very unique. *The gun game was so awesome, and Piers took a great picture *The lack of barriers was also really interesting, as any kid could have ran right onto the kiddie rides when they were in motion. Good thing that wasn't in the US! *Elissa riding the pole was awesome, and she almost climaxed the pole! I think I ate over $100 worth of food, and it was worth every cent! Thank you so much Robb and Elissa for one of the most incredible nights! That fair ended up being exactly why TPR is so awesome. One of the best days of the entire trip for me wasn't at the park that had the best rides, but at the fair with the screwed up rides, tons of junk food, drunk TPR people, and people almost peeing themselves on the bus! Olympia Looping was awesome! It had so much force, and was a really incredible ride. I got a massive headache, but it was worth the 13 rides! As for the rest stop, that was pretty bad. Even with people being just 15 minutes late, it ended up being pretty crappy for those of us who helped unload the bus, and take all the TPR stuff to the rooms. I was so tired, and it was so late, that I barely even remember taking the bags to the different rooms, and then not even opening mine but just crashing. But I do remember in that stupor thinking, WTF, there is a climbing wall in the hallway? I thought I had completely lost it. But in the morning it was still there! That was a really awesome hotel, and the double bed hidden rooms were awesome! On a historical note, the town that the fair was held in killed almost the entire population of Jews and Gypsies in the early 1900's. Jewy will have to avoid that town when he visits for Oktoberfest! -

^^I asked my 8 ball if it was the lift motor. It said yes. That's good enough for me. Disclaimer: I have absolutely no clue what is wrong, and there is nothing hidden in my message. Just wanted to make sure because sometimes, ok, almost always, things are taken completely out of context, or as absolute truth. -
I love Scream! The fact that it usually has a little line makes it even better! I've never known a ride that has a walk-on line to be a downside! It's a fun ride, and pretty smooth to me. I think it has a bad rap because of all the other impressive rides in the park. However, I still think that they should let us all bring in a bag a gravel to the next WCB and landscape it! I hope they never get rid of it. If other parks could benefit from it, then those parks should just build their own.

Air conditioner is out for the second time this summer. Looks like I do have a very expensive leak somewhere. It's so hot in our house now, feels like I'm back on the Europe trip!
-
I've been pretty bad. I haven't run since before the Europe trip. It is way too hard to run during a TPR trip for me so I don't even pretend to try. For the past three weeks I've redone our entire front yard and have lost 7 pounds. Needless to say, I'm too exhausted to run after working all day in almost 100 degree heat. I know, poor me.

Theme Park Careers
jray21 replied to ETapley0687's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Win the lottery, buy a park. Ditto what Robb said. Engineering and math for the actual designing of the ride, graphics, design, and art for the theming side of it. Although, if you look into imagineering, there are tons of different fields to look into. -
I am a firm believer that if they are cheap glasses, you will not lose them, unless you really really like them. If they are expensive, then say goodbye to them. No matter what. Every time I had expensive/favorite glasses, prescription or sun, I would somehow lose them if I wore them, put them in a locker and forgot them, or put them in my pocket and they fell out. With cheap ones, I could probably throw them off a coaster, and somehow the wind and the coaster track would put them smack onto my face. Now I have zippered cargo short pockets, but I have to be careful that the restraints don't crush them.
