  1. Some colleges get out a little earlier. Utah gets out around May 7, and Nevada, May 12. This will not nearly affect the area as much as local schools getting out, but Disney will start seeing a jump in attendance.
  2. It is definitely a sad event. Unfortunately, it seems to be the ThemePark cycle. The manufacturer has an SOP delivered with the ride and everyone becomes an expert on it. However, people move around and little things change. One small change is instituted by one person, and then they leave. The new person that comes in may assume that everything is running according to the SOP and doesn't even realize a change has taken place. Then that person changes one thing, and they leave. This goes on and on for years and the result is what we have here. There seems to be many variations from the original SOP over the years, and when you look at it as a whole, some of the changes were pretty drastic. Of course this is true for most accidents in any industry. Too bad.
  3. Man, even though I live close to the Bay Area, the extra Friday Night ERT and free soda(not a drinker) are really pulling me.
  4. My experience with Windows 7 is that it looks really nice, has some convenient features, but underneath the hood, it still has a lot of little annoying problems that can cause a lot of problems. The main difference I see is that with XP, when a app crashed, the entire computer crashed. With Windows 7 when an app crashes, you will lose all your work, and most of the time the computer won't crash, but you still have to cross your fingers. It seems it may have really been designed by those people in the commercials -Joey
  5. ^Yep, my bad. I meant the 7d, not the 50d or 500d. Hope no one bought the wrong one ! I too am waiting for some audio options. Only other I wish it had was an image stabilizer for the video.
  6. I know that costs were huge for this project, but could you imagine if they had just created a whole new land, instead of re-theming one. That would have been incredible, but, of course, there was no way that would have been feasible.
  7. They could make a great horror movie with those two.
  8. To each his own, but I would never go there in a million years. Any place that says no boogers on the walls, this is being cracked down on, has major problems with the people going there. Really though, it reminds me more of a monastery/convent than a school, but that's probably why it's not accredited.
  9. I'm with Robb on this one. I can't see too much of a benefit over XP. I've been having the same problem as Robb, but not near as often. However, when it comes to DVD and Blu-Ray burning, XP definitely is better. So far. Hopefully some updates will make it better.
  10. My knee is finally starting to begin to maybe someday hopefully heal! Can't wait until I get back into running. I have to be in shape for the Disneyland 1/2 in 5 months!
  11. 18 minutes is a very, very, long time for a water show, even if it ends up having a lot of fire. I love Disney, and I'm sure it will be decent, but when compared to Disney's other shows, it's just not calling to me. We'll see in a few months though.
  12. Awesome. Thanks for interesting "article."
  13. ^Glad you had a good ride on Manhattan Express. I was there about 6 months ago and had the worst ride ever. The pain to my head was almost as bad as the pain to my wallet
  14. I'm still in complete shock over the Mythos menu! How sad ! I've only been to IOA twice, and both times I did the VIP tour so I never waited in line. For Dueling Dragons they just walked us on through the exit so I didn't even get to "pick!" I sure missed a great queue! I'm sure the theming will be nice, but the old dragons out front will be really hard to beat.
  15. Thanks for the report. Very interesting stuff. You should have totally tired the Bahrain fried chicken!
  16. I do like Manta, but I don't like the setup too much. Those type of rides are pretty slow overall, it is still fun, but not near as intense as the pretzel loop. With Manta, it's a good drop, an immediately intense pretzel loop, and then slow flying for the rest of the ride. With Tatsu, you have the great drop, some slow flying, the super-intense pretzel loop, and then finish off with more slow flying. It seems to even the ride out more. But the queue and theming are better on Manta.
  17. Sounds Great! CGA was my home park growing up, and really my only park for a long time. It will be really cool to go backstage after all of these years! Thanks Robb!
  18. I will try anything once, and like almost everything, but organ meats and oysters are a no go for me. But in regards to skinless hotdogs, my Aunt from Germany was visiting a little while ago, and she was mortified that we ate hot dogs and sausages with the skin on. She made everyone eat them without skin, and it was actually better. I have always hated hot dogs with a "snap" anyways, so I understand the skinless hot dogs.
  19. What an incredible ending! Everyone must see this film!
  20. Awesome movie. What a great start to an epic evening. It's like riding Revolution before Tatsu. Had to throw in a stupid theme park item somehow!
  21. Maybe this will hold you over until the grand release! Here
  22. ^ No he's not. Piers' screen name is Piers, and you can find it Here
  23. ^^No comment. I like Piers too much to release it without his consent, but if others have copies.....
