^^^Welcome to the Boards!! You will be cutting it really really close. There usually is some kind of soft opening, but with how big this is for them, it may be opened in waves like you mention. Having a package deal from Universal would probably be the best way to go, but you never know. Changing your vacation days would be the best bet, but only if you can. Once again, WELCOME!

The bacon chocolate funnel cakes were really good! It was like having pancakes with bacon. Amy and I had such an awesome time, and we are now in a deep state of depression and withdrawal. As always, Robb and Elissa (and all those who helped) did an incredible job, and are absolutely amazing at whatever they put together. Now on to Bay Area Bash!!!!!

MOD's, feel free to move this, I couldn't figure out where to put it. While walking to the park yesterday, I noticed some new trams drive by. I took some quick pictures. Looks like all the new parking trams will have automated doors so some psycho people can't jump off anymore. Not really exciting news, but something new. Also, secret service was doing some test walks around DCA today (at least that's what i heard someone say), so I guess some important politician is going to be visiting soon. New Parking Trams

All companies have to adjust given the changing customer. For example, SFMM was scary ghetto a few years back, so they had to be dirt cheap to get people to go. As they added rides, and cleaned the park up, the customers are willing to pay a little more. I don't think it was necessarily a horrible idea at the time (but they are bankrupt ), but it definitely needed to be updated, and they seem to be doing it. SF was definitely mismanaged and made some really bad investments, but hopefully once everything gets settled it will be a better place.

Awesome report! I was really hoping to make it to the event, but things didn't work out. I will definitely have to make the trip for the next events. Those cupcakes looked so good! Wish they had an event this week when I'm there

^^I agree. Hasn't Cedar Fair owned Knott's for a long time? While they have gotten a few new rides in that time, overall, the park has consistently gone downhill.

I miss their old food court, circa 1980-90's. They had the best food. To this day, the cheese pizza they had near drop zone was the best cheese pizza in the US!

^^^^Thanks for the info. That will help, but I can also see huge technical difficulties with any show of that size. The floats also explains why some earlier pictures of the platforms showed them bowed out a bit.

NOOOOOO! Rob, Amy and I are so excited for the club and all of it's benefits! They are incredible. I think that for every 1 person that wishes their park would have gotten on board, there are ten of us that are more than happy with the list. Also, who says they may not change in the future. If ClubTPR is a huge success (It will be), that would be a great incentive for future parks to get on board. Your doing a great job, and I am more than happy to throw all my money at you! Can't wait to see you all in a few days!!!!
