Westcoaster Status Update
Homer replied to Jim Disney's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Your site is the third funniest coaster site and best for weird news. Hope you come back soon. The other two, this site and ARN&R. -
When I first heard of Montezooma's Revenge two years ago, I laughed because I knew the meaning after my sister's trip to Mexico. Even though its a name that sounded like the "Master of Puns" EBL would make up for an old Shuttle Loop, I still have a little 'heh' every time I hear it.

Montu Batwing Element
Homer replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Even though its trimmed once in a while, Montu's Batwing is still an element that has a LOT of "umph" in it. So many crazy positive G's throughout the bottom of the drop. -
Darnit, I was going to say that... Anyways, maybe try to uninstall programs you don't use. Clean out your comp by looking at documents you don't need anymore, etc.

American Adventure Park UK Complaint
Homer replied to CherylStarUK's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
They can still build a Goliath Junior thing though. [/sarcasm] -
I think I can assume its the power supply. For one, I was gone for an hour, so my computer was on idle. I thought it may be spyware, so I did a quick AdAware scan and got a few items. I have yet to do a virus scan, yet nothing fishy happening. Still, I should do something about the power supply.

Alright, I am now pissed off. First off, read the title. Then here is the story; I just came back from dinner and suddenly my computer keeps turning itself on and off. I suspect its a virus, but I have been keeping my guards up to date, didn't download anything suspicious. Then when I come back, I turned it off manually and decided to boot my computer up to normal. Everything seemed fine, I decided to do a virus scan for my comp. Then a minute later, whammo, my computer flickers on and off again. So, question is, can anybody solve my problem. Because, I know theres always some tech geek here (no offense).

Nintendo to launch theme park
Homer replied to Robbie's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^The eff? Nintendo is wiping their ass with their money, seriously. NOBODY likes Pokemon these days. Maybe it would be a good idea in 1999, but now, no, just no. The only audience it would get are 7 year old boys and all of them would be like "Pokemon is sooooo gay, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Naruto r0x0rz!!1" I am still waiting for Nintendo to do something with the Mario Bros. though. -
New member title please, change it to; "NO! Permission NOT Granted!" Thanks in advance!

If you could BUY one Coaster...
Homer replied to l3ite_me1313's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I would buy Kumba, the forces and ride is classic enough. -
I have only been to 3 water parks in my life (4 if I count that little water playground thingy at the YMCA). Adventure Island (BGT) Sandcastle (Kennywood) Sun Splash (some locally owned water park (Cape Coral, FL) with dated slides with dated names like... The Electric Slide! ). I don't have a favorite slide though.

First Ever RCT4 Screen Shots!!!!
Homer replied to robbalvey's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Same here. Oh well, MOST RCT forums these days are full of *immature* 11 year old n00bs (not bashing soCALman123 or any other 11/12 year olds that have brains). I also hate how people are using the calendar function to make their topics seem important. -

^Nah, more like the NES. Now if only I can read Japanese, other than that, bookmarked! -
Taken from another forum I post at. Clearly, RCT is one of the most best-selling PC games of all time, ranking up there with The Sims. So, one question ACE members and donkey lovers... Did Chris Sawyer/RCT influence your interest? For me... In July 1999, my cousin got the game when it first came out. I was curious and I played it a little bit. I got sort of addicted and wanted a copy. But, it was 1999, and the 10 year old me was addicted to the crack known as Pokemon (save that for another topic). Back in April 2000, BGT was throwing a promo for free "Fun Cards" (or BGT's term for a basic season pass) for Florida residents, on the busy weekend of Easter. Of course, we got passes and the park was crowded as all hell. Back then, I was scared sh**less of coasters. Then a few weeks later, on my 11th birthday, I got a copy of RCT from my relatives. I booted up the game that night, was a bit confused, then rotted away on my shelf for a month or so. Then in late May 2000, my 5th grade graduation trip to BGT, and my dad dragged me on ALL of BGT's rides. I sort of got over my fear, then over that summer, my old friend Rob (not to be confused with Bealdude) took me whenever he went. And might I add, the night before the big BGT trip, my dad was watching the Discovery Channel and it was showing the special "Scream Parks" (which basically showed SFMM when it was good and before the "X-TREME!!1" era). My interest started... I dusted off RCT and played it for hours on end that summer. I remember begging for the expansions. I remember going on sites such as Defunct Amusement Parks and such. And oddly enough, I always wanted a "Vertical Drop Roller Coaster" at BGT after seeing how scary looking Oblivion was in the in-game Alton Towers rec. Oddly enough, 5 years later, SheiKra comes (and kicks ass). Eventually, in 2001, I come looking for recreations of BGT in RCT1 and found this site. Then in 2002, my interest in coasters/RCT dwindled until RCT2 came out. I then finally got reinterested, and in 2003, I joined a coaster forum. Without Chris Sawyer, I guess we wouldn't have this influx of enthusiasts. Seeing that a majority of members throughout other forums were inspired by RCT.

Dive Machines? What are your thoughts?
Homer replied to downunder's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
SheiKra, although not my favorite, its probably the best airtime I have ever gotten on a coaster since GASM at SFOG. The back, edge seats has crazy air on the second drop. -
Park commercials from days past...
Homer replied to Movieguy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Mine are a bit more recent, though... *The annoying BGT commercial for Katonga! where that word is said about a zillion times. *The preopening ad for SheiKra in which text was going by saying "200 feet up, 90 degrees straight down, SheiKra, coming in May!" I think BGTGuide has that ad somewhere. *Then the ad used for SheiKra after opening. Basically it was a guy flying around in the sky until you suddenly see him pause. His arms then go to his side, then he turns face down and SHOOTS down to the ground. Then you see the guy wake up from his bed, then some fancy SheiKra footage. *Radio ads for Cheetah Chase in 2004. *The Gwazi ad, where it was nothing but roller coaster footage and text saying "combined speeds of 100 mph". Barely remember it, though. -
...a pedophile with a huge stash of child pornography. Robb and Elissa were creeped out and called the cops on him. When the police cars arrived, the cops werent your ordinary cops. No, these cops are a crew of Michael Jackson impersonators led by Michael Jackson himself. They moonwalked Joey and the others to that one park in Europe to ride "The Michael Jackson Thrill Ride". While riding...
