Six Flags 2006 Poster Map Exchange
Homer replied to GAcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
*bump* So, instead of giving your address to some schmoe on a forum, you could always snail mail Six Flags yourself. Patience is the key, it took nearly 2 weeks, but thats snail mail for ya... Heres a pic for those who don't know what one of these things look like. A different cartoonish styling to it than the original park map. -
^Are you blind? Its so obvious where to download it, just click Download Now and it should download. And also, just save it to your desktop... Can you see the red circle?

Rollercoaster books
Homer replied to rollercoaster1234's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I also recommend Robert Corker's Roller Coasters: A Thrillseeker's Guide to the Ultimate Scream Machines. Beautiful pictures, well-written blips of ride summaries, and would probably be the best coaster book for enthusiasts out there that is easy to find. I got an old version though for Christmas back in 2004. As Jeff pointed above, its a great coffee table book. Also, if you like pretty coaster pictures and a good book for the general public, I would recommend Roller Coasters by Mike Schafer and Scott Rutherford. Although dated, it has some good pics in there, the cover has a picture of Wild One at Six Flags America back when the train front said Wild World (which said picture would have to be 20 years old! Better books would include: That Werner Stengel book (extremely hard to find, but from what I hear is an excellent read). -
Awesome video, but the greatest car commercial still belongs to VW "Pimp ze auto" ads. Although those ads have been a bit old though...

Need some help with TPR streaming video
Homer replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I prefer streaming, really, because videos fill up my hard drive real fast (40 GB hard drive, was good in 2002, but now there are iPods with more space than that!). So, I prefer streaming, its just more convenient for me. But then, the dial-uppers would be a bit peeved though. -
The reefer must be flippin Tom out!

Eh, anybody know today is 4/20? So, anyways, I was doing the school announcements today and I made a crude drug reference at the end. "Have a high day" Surprisingly, I made the entire school laugh, teachers scared, and NOT get in trouble! And for the record... no, I don't smoke pot or do any drugs for that matter.

Paramount Parks SOLD?!!
Homer replied to Jon Sabo's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
According to Wikipedia, Taft is out of business and has been dissolved. Now what was once Taft belongs to Paramount, WB, Turner, etc. -
I vote for Jaws 3... NOT! Jaws one is a great and classic thriller movie. Although I think it was a bit oversensationalised. But the other Jaws movies suck more than a Dyson vaccum in a dirty room.

If you like plugs for rides with a flash game like that Spinball Wizard one, test your laser shooting skills here. Reeses X-treme Cup Challenge Basically, its another point and shoot game and you could enter to win prizes if you are over 18.

^No, it was released a few months ago. Anyways, I have yet to locate one in Florida, but when I do, I am so playing it. Although, it seems kind of odd for Pac-Man characters to be in a Mairo game, oh well, thats Namco for ya...

That was something I would expect off South Park, a perfect satire of Disney. Anybody catch the "Disney's America" reference? And I kept laughing at all of the sequels... Lion King 5 2/3- Simba on The View... . **EDIT**: You can watch the clip HERE

"Am I the only one who thought that the creators of South Park are just jealous?" Yes, as stated above, South Park makes fun of almost anything and everything. Matt and Trey have said many times that whenever a fan says that their show and Family Guy were the best shows on TV, they usually feel like they were kicked in the nuts. Certainly, I agree with their view of Family Guy, but I still watch the show because nothing is on during Sunday nights, really. And I hate Family Guy when they drag their jokes on for too long, especially in most of the new episodes. South Park did a good satire of everything in the 2 part episode. Family Guy, Muslim extremists and Mohammad, Censorship, and Terrorism. The retaliation was pure genius right there... that and I giggle every time I hear "Mr. T... Teeeeaa..."

Movie, TV, and Video Game based rides
Homer replied to Milkchan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You forgot one thing... Video Games... For me, I have been waiting for the days a park chain or park snaps up a few video game licenses and uses them on a major attraction. Sure, theres the Tomb Raider rides, but I'm still waiting for... Mario and Luigi: Superstar Coaster (named after the GBA game "Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga"). A racing/dueling coaster, can be any type, I would prefer a woodie though. Sonic The Hedgehog... Come on, hes a famous supersonic hedgehog... he goes fast and hes pretty much well known. And you can't go through a level in that game without looping a few times. This would be perfect for an Intamin Rocket like Storm Runner. -
The name is Carl... Its short, sweet, and starts with a C, not a K... 1000th post... OMGR0X0RZ!!1
