  1. Getting a job at Atlanta Bread Company is the high point of my day. That and getting an executive producer part today in my school's news (even though it sucks).
  2. Great Adventure Insider- New commercial filmed at GAdv. featuring Mr. Six It's unknown whether or not this ad is going to be locally or nationally, but chances are it would go nationally. Surprised though... Snyder and probably anybody mature realise that he was a pointless mascot and the detheming of Pandamonium at SFNE. I'll admit, the only good he did was boost attendance and rolled in the dough which is why I signed that petition. Chances are, thousands of tweens really love him...
  3. The Nintendo DS has already brought us one true Mario game, a port of Mario 64 called "Super Mario 64 DS". Nothing unique and nearly everything thats the same as the nearly-10 year old game. Nintendo realised it was about high time for a new Mario game and to do it in "Old Skool" fashion with some new twists. The answer? New Super Mario Bros. (or NSMB). The storyline? Generic Nintendo storyline number 1, Save the princess (Peach or Zelda) from (Bowser or Gannondorf). Nothing new here folks... The graphics? Much like SEGA's Sonic Rush, NSMB has a mix of sprites used in backgrounds and items while characters/enemies are in 3D. The levels? Classic Mario fare, collect coins, stomp on things, etc. But the design seems a little linear, but exploration plays a key in finding star coins. Star coins usually are used to enter certain areas or unlock Toad Houses (much like in Super Mario Bros. 3). The bosses? Good news, all of the bosses are different. Bowser Jr. unleashes a different boss for each world so its not just fightning Bowser over and over again. Whats new? Several new abilities to the 2-D series. For instance, Mario can now Ground Pound and Wall Kick. Then, new powerups, Mega Mushrooms make Mario grow to ginormous proportions. Whatever walks into Mario is killed and smashed. Try to get everything you can in Mega form, the more you smash, the more 1UP's you get! Then theres the Mini Mushroom, which shrinks Mario. Is that bad? Not really, it allows him to enter certain areas and run on water. Then the Blue Shell, unlike thwart the first place winner like in the Mario Kart series, the Blue Shell allows Mario to become a Koopa himself. There's no flying power up or no Yoshi... The only downers about the game is that it feels too short and that Nintendo went a little trigger happy on getting 1UP's. However, NSMB is another great Mario game that will make another reason to get the DS. It seems all of the good platformers are on the DS nowadays... Overall, 9/10.
  4. OH SNAP! An update? Well, out of boredom I've been improving things here and there and everywhichway, hopefully actually getting it complete this time. First off, I *almost* completed the water park, heck of a lot different compared to the earlier screens and has more to do. Second off, new for 2006 is Ice Age Adventure, a motion simulator film based on the two successful CGI-animated films. Debuting at Movie Park Germany in 2005, Funzones Parks have exclusively signed a deal with 20th Century Fox to use their movies/shows as attractions (much like Six Flags and WB). And lastly, theres an incomplete Polar Encounter exhibit. Polar Encounter contains exhibits featuring Penguins, Walruses, and Polar Bears. Now you can chill out with chilly animals without venturing to the extremes of the Earth.
  5. Great update but I have one question. How did the Sonic PS3 game play? Was it like the old games? And what is up with Robotnik's redesign, christ he looks real!?
  6. Smack my ass and call me Sally... SMASH BROS. BRAWL Although no screen, I think this will catch everybody's eyes... Solid Snake? If he's in the game... Sonic MUST be in it, he's gotta! Nintendo owns E3 this year, period. [EDIT: FOR THOSE LOOKING FORWARD TO SMASH BROS. BRAWL, PREPARE TO FAINT!] Wario is in this too!
  7. Sounds like you and Ian had a great time at CoasterForce's love affair, Thorpe Park! Isle of Wight? Umm... sorry to sound stupid, but whats Isle of Wight?
  8. 1. I wrote that story on CoasterForce, before you begin to use the "CoasterForce is plagarist" card, I cited the source. The source and the proof? http://www.thrillnetwork.com/boards/showpost.php?p=658880&postcount=31 Also, Zonga, by many reports, was a crappy coaster. Another "neutered Schwarzkopf" by Six Flags because the loops were re-engineered by Premier Rides (to reduce G's). Also, the bulky OTSR's were another factor.
  9. That and the announcement of releasing the Play-Yan add-on for the Nintendo DS in America... Darnit, I wanna play movies on my DS! And now to add my input, Nintendo's conference was incredible, I'm so happy right now for... 1. Sonic Wild Fire- Classic Sonic with a twist. 2. Diddy Kong Racing on the DS- Bout damn time, this was one of the few games to beat Mario Kart in this genre. If you hate this game, please grow a brain. 3. Yoshi's Island 2- Guilty pleasure, but the first one was a great game, if not one of the best 2D side scrollers. 4. Red Steel 5. Super Mario Galaxy Those are my most anticipated from Nintendo. As you can see, I stick with mascots.[/b]
  10. Seconded, although I do admit I liked last weeks "Poltergeist" parody as it does a good job spoofing the movie like Scary Movie would. And like everybody here, LAME and lazy...
  11. Coaster games plus consoles... not so good... 1. Theme Park series- EA/Bullfrog - 1994 (PC, Genesis, PS2) (see also Theme Park World (1999) and Roller Coaster (2000)) This game was so incredibly boring and just cut and pasted rides to make some sort of business simulator better. Horrid interface and then this little dude on the corner of your screen thats like the little black box on the bottom of the RCT screen. 2. Coaster Works (Dreamcast, 1999/2000) Little known info on this game. 3. RCT1 Port (Xbox, 2002) Nothing more but RCT1... but on your Xbox! Wow, like the consumers won't notice a then 3 year old PC game that has sold millions is the exact same on the Xbox! In short, all coaster console games suck, this one will too.
  12. What peeves me off is... 1. Sony rips off Nintendo... yet again... by claiming "lightweight" and 6 degrees of geometric space. Who cares? 2. ITS THE EXACT SAME F***IN' THING! Don't boast it as innovative... 3. As impressive as this thing looks, I doubt American consumers will buy it at launch. Nintendo please come up with a kickass ad campaign for Wii that involves Sony bashing.
  13. New SMB comes out on the 15th, not tomorrow, although that would be a hell of a lot cooler! If you ask me I'm still waiting for... Smash Bros. Wii- PLEASE have Sonic playable! Please? Release of the "Play-Yan" device in America. The PS3 in general and how much of a hole it will burn in your pocket. The "Virtual Console" on Wii.
  14. ^Oh come on, Super Mario World was up there with SMB3. I am EXTREMELY hyped up for this game, I reserved it down at EBGames. That and IGN posted their review and gave it a 9.5. Although in their review, I heard that the longevity of the game is a downside (around 4-5 hours). http://ds.ign.com/articles/705/705537p1.html
  15. These are the 4 days every gamer have been waiting for. E3 2006 is shaping up to be the best ever as companies strut their next-gen consoles. Xbox360 has been released, but Nintendo's Wii and Sony's PS3 have been little known. So, talk about your gaming wish list, but don't be a bashing fanboy. And lets hope Robb has an update full of weird crap from Kentia Hall! And for you fanboys, conference times, NOTE: ALL TIMES PACIFIC TIME!: Nintendo Press Conference Expected events: Nintendo Wii info unveiled (price hopefully), Nintendo Wii games, and more DS games (hopefully an American release for that Play-Yan thing!) May 9th, 2006 at 9:30 AM (PST) Sony Press Conference Expected events: More info unveiled of the PS3, more PS2/3 games, price info, PSP games. TODAY at 4:00 PM (PST) Microsoft Press Conference Expected events: Xbox 360 games, other news items might pop up. May 9th, 2006 at 12:00 PM (PST) Discuss away!
  16. DAMN! That is going to be my birthday cake next year and it looks so heavenly!
  17. A glass of Pepsi Vanilla. < Really wishes Vanilla Coke would come back .
  18. Welcome to TPR, the welcome topic is HERE!
  19. Geez, how close are these rides from the walkways? Can't wait for more on the Myrtle Beach area and especially for Tommy's photo TR as well.
  20. I think the Screamscape rumor was Zirier (sp?, you know the company that makes those Tivoli coasters with the long trains at SF parks) was going to build a prototype version of their launched coaster. Sounds interesting too...
  21. "Having a Blast" - Green Day.
  22. I would have one if Ska wasn't on the "Premium Membership" thing on Launchcast , that and I don't use YIM.
  23. Huge, white, and terrifying... like my pe***[/innuendo]
  24. Saw this on the news last night and lets just say its probably the funniest thing I have heard all day. That doughboy... so awesome. Although the grocery store it was at is closing this weekend says the news.
  25. I never thought this day would ever come back, let this be a lesson to anybody, you can't run away from your past. Before my story begins, heres some info, I'm a junior in high school now (Grade 11) and have had a rough social life. Long post ahead... So, this story started all the way back in 4th grade. I met this kid (lets just say his name is Chaz) and we became good friends. We hung out at each other's houses, went places, etc. Everything you would do with a friend. We were both in the same classes until 6th grade, when we entered middle school and were assigned on different "teams". So, I didn't see him as often at that time and I didn't mind. So one day, during 6th grade, I simply said "Hey Chaz" to him in the hallway. I expected a "Hey Carl" back, instead he goes, "Who the f*** are you?" I passed on and I myself went "WTF?" So, after a weekend, I decided to say "Hey" to him in the halls. Again, he went "Who the f*** are you?" Clearly, I was pissed and so I smacked him in the head. Of course, I got in trouble. These fights would continue until around 8th grade or so. Clearly, I was the one who was doing something wrong. These fights would end up getting me a new rep in middle school... "Crazy Carl"... So, I realised and gave up at the end of 7th grade. By this time, he started hanging around the wrong crowd. Chaz got into drugs and drinking, last I heard he was doing Coke now and was caught with Vodka on campus last year. In 10th grade, he was on one of my classes, but we were both neutral and avoided each other. But then this year, I had his little brother (lets just say his name is Zach). Zach was also neutral with me and seemed a bit friendly toward me. I decided not to really trust him, knowing that he was sleeping a few feet away from the biggest druggie and enemy I know. So, the other day, I was a bit skeptical about Zach, he seemed eccentric. It looked like he really wanted to talk about something, but he was holding it back. So, during class, he was talking about me behind my back and telling the story of "Crazy Carl". I overheard and just before it got "juicy" I went "Zach is a liar!" extremely loud. So, since then, I have been paranoid as hell and depressed. Then this one other question has been bothering me for quite some time. When do I stand up for myself? So, if you haven't heard about somebody spreading crap, now theres more than one bully. Alongside "Zach" there's now "Jack" as well. "Jack" is your typical dumbass that always raves on about how his "old skool Trans-Am" is the greatest car ever and what parts he is going to add to it. Chances are, he would marry that Trans-Am more than the hottest chick on Earth. Now, just today, my friends and I were talking. Of course we hate "Jack", but one of my friends seriously wants to dump paint-thinner all over his Trans-Am. As much as I would like to see "Jack" bawling in tears, I didn't want to get involved in something criminal. So then its back to the age old question of standing up for myself. I know for my entire life that I have been a pushover wallflower type, the type of person that would make a bully's day. I have stood up before, but at wrong times and became my middle school rep of "Crazy Carl". I seriously want to fight, but I don't want to face criminal charges (especially in today's Post-Columbine/911 world). So, how should I stand up for myself? I really want it to stop, but I don't want to be a tattletale narc and rely on counselors again (which I also did back in middle school). Today I am sick and on purpose just to stay away from these nuts... And now, just a few moments ago, he found out my telephone number by going through the teachers' book and actually CALLING MY HOUSE. Thank god my sore throat made my voice seem a bit raspy. So, he was going to tell my parents crap like I have gotten in trouble. I then insulted him and hung up. Now, I'm scared sh*tless... Help?
