Photo TR Rheinkirmus in Dusseldorf, Germany

Reminds us why German fairs always own American Fairs. -
I recently found my old NES in the attic, sadly the connecter pins are shot and I have that infamous blinking red light problem. I also got a hand me down Sega Game Gear from my cousin as well that had Sonic the Hedgehog 2 with it. (Sonic 2 on that system is one of the hardest games EVAR).

First gen Intamin Freefalls
Homer replied to eskater132's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Freefall at SFOG (the one in Georgia you mentioned), still there, still operating. Although theres that old rumor thats been around since 2001 saying that it would be scrapped for a V2 clone... Also, Geauga Lake scrapped their 1st Gen Freefall ride, it has a long story. It was installed in 1981 at SFGAm (when it was Marriot's GAm). After an accident a couple of years later, the park closed the ride and sold it to the now defunct Rocky Point Park in Rhode Island. Rocky Point Park closed in 1996 and the Freefall ride was sold to Premier Parks. The ride was installed at Geauga Lake in 1997 as Mr. Hyde's Nasty Fall. The ride operated at the park until 2005, when it became SBNO and eventually scrapped for parts for Demon Drop at CP. -
Trying To Locate A Huss Rainbow Ride
Homer replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
James, I think the SFWoA/GL one used to be a "Mirage" flat ride. Did Huss make different themes for Rainbow, such as an arabian theme? Look at this pic (background) Didn't SFKK used to have one as well? -
He he, I also noticed that arrogant brit bocakey call me fat. I bet that kid also weighs 5000 pounds, at least (BTW bocakey, I was exaggerating, lets see you write a paragraphs long insult about that).

what sf park has the best gotham city?????
Homer replied to colossus's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
SFOG is the best Gotham, well shaded and landscaped as well as themed. Then I think SFEG has the "worst attempted" Gotham look... Settle 'round folks, its time for another SF story... Back in 1998-ish or so, Premier was becoming SF, and Premier wanted to retheme ALL of their SLC coasters (Mind Erasers/T2/Serial Thriller) to Batman:TR's. With that in mind, until some point in time, SF stopped retheming. T2 at SFKK got painted black and that is as far as it went. Mind Eraser at SFDL/SFNE didn't get rethemed. Mind Eraser at SFEG got some brick buildings and a Gotham-ish looking sign. Serial Thriller at Geauga Lake got nothing, same with SFAW. Then, onto SFEG's "Gotham" city. I would say the only thing closest to a Gotham City is both the Batman Arena and the Mind Eraser area. Theres a Batman themed Chance Aviator called "Batwing". Mind Eraser has the brick buildings and gotham-ish sign. Batwing has NO batman theming except for the Batman logo on top. The signs in the queue use the Chance Aviator how-to's for how to control your pod. The Batman Arena looked like a generic arena, also, the generic Batmobile is parked nearby. Oh well, I guess SFEG's "Gotham" is as comparable to SFA and SFDL's. -
I, seriously, after watching that video, want to... you know... Gives me a reason to hate fat 13 year old boys who think they are cool because they have a webseries going on YouTube.
-
Florida is always hell, eh, I can tolerate 86 degrees with 100% humidity. Besides, we get a nice seabreeze and some rain anyways.
-
Depends on who steals the video is who I would hate/rat out. The little british kid that stole the SheiKra video is still an ass about it, just ignore it though. Besides, in the comments place on that kids vid, we have two bannz0r'd TPR members that don't understand money (and arrogant too), and a few YouTube users that don't understand what an upstop wheel is on the kids side, while just about everybody on TPR wants the kid to just take it down. If it was somebody who decided to post one as a preview on YouTube. I'd report them, only the authors can post preview videos. But if it was somebody that had permission from R&E, and did an awesome job mixing footage with some good techno, then damn, that video kicked ass. I wouldn't mind, I'd honor them myself, personally. Now, on to security? On your online videos, can you just put a little watermark on the bottom right side that says © 20XX ThemeParkReview.com or something?

This was at my SFEG trip last week. I had to sit with a "special guy" since I was the only other single rider in line for the Batwing flat ride. Batwing is a Chance Aviator flat ride and two people sit in an inverted car with their feet dangling. And, like flyers, theres a joystick in the middle to control the car. The entire time, he had control of the joystick and he was yelling "Ten, five, (incoherent rambling), TEN!!" and I was afraid if I touched the joystick, he would probably attack me or something. So, the entire time, I was like "Get me down from here..." and decided to run away after the ride was over. God, that guy creeped me out.

More random pics, more coming soon to keep this topic alive... Best rapids name EVAR. Stay tuned for the last few! I wouldnt be smilin' if my balls hit that post. Where's the GOOD flying coaster? Snakes on a Coaster! Whenever I see this ride, I think of that crazy "Mr. Ten" guy. It woulda been a "Time to Rock" if it weren't playing "Dance, Dance" and "SOS" alot... Lets sing the doom song now... -
Six Flags 2006 Poster Map Exchange
Homer replied to GAcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Folks, I think this thread is about to die now. Six Flags parks are now selling "Collectors Editions" of their maps. What does it have? It has ALL 13 "flagged" park maps. You can get it for $10 at major gift shops. At Six Flags Elitch Gardens, they are available at the Tennyson St. Emporium. -

Anyone else going to SFEG soon? I would love to get an entire collection of maps instead of trading all over the country for the ones I need. Thanks!!! I think every SF park should have them (ones that have the SF prefix, not the small parks). A good deal too, I guess Shapiro listened to the enthusiast community after that Tatsu interview. -
After being spoiled with smooth B&M coasters in Florida. Today was the day I became manlier about coasters. I got most of the credits, only the Boomerang was down. Sorry, no CAR 4 ACTION! After a dismal weekend of rain, it cleared up today to become a beautiful day. Perfect for a theme park. So, I arrived at the park at 10 AM and I soon began running toward Half Pipe. First thing first... Tower of Doom - 8.5/10 My first Intamin tower, an incredible ride that made me lose my breath. Best freefall ride I've been on. That, and the wait was only a 2 min. wait. After Tower of Doom, I hit up Half Pipe. Half Pipe - 8/10 Another cool Intamin ride. The ride had a great launch and awesome spinning. However, the ride loses points that it kinda hurt my shoulders. Other than that, I found it fun. Oh, it had airtime too . Following Half Pipe, I rode Twister II (the coaster, not the member). Twister II - 7/10 This summer, action, some airtime, and one long line filled with weeds brings the only wooden coaster experience that would make you go wow... TWISTER II!Moviefone voice> This woodie was somewhat decent that had little airtime and wasn't that bumpy. It just didn't seem that intense. Overall, a decent ride and it had no wait the entire day. Following T2, I headed over to my first Vekoma SLC... Mind Eraser - 7.5/10 With only a 5 minute wait, Mind Eraser was a fun coaster. I didn't find it as rough as I expected it. After all the Vekoma bashing I have read, this coaster didn't hurt and it was a quite fun experience. After my high speed brain drain, I headed over to the best coaster in the park. Sidewinder - 8.5/10 An old Arrow Loop, it also wasn't that rough and it had some great air. The launch was a bit, eh, but I had the back train and I didn't expect the air! Geez, I hope this old thing doesn't get scrapped if the park ever got sold. After sidewindin', I decided to ride the coaster that would make me a man... and quite possibly the WORST ride ever... The Flying Coaster- 1/10 I will never complain of Gwazi being rough ever again. TFC of course is a Volare/Rat Cage of Doom. So, I waited about 20 minutes to get my last credit that wasn't down/kiddie. Folks, steer clear of this ride, The lift was interesting, but the ride itself. Pain, all over the place. Any twist, turn led to pain. This is my worst coaster ever. Following Flying Coaster, I went to have some lunch at Panda Express. It was the first time I ever had Panda Express and this food was great. After eating some rearry rearry good frood, I decided to ride Batwing. Batwing - 6/10 Batwing is a Chance Aviator flat ride, I got in line and the wait was only 5 minutes. The person I sat with kinda ruined the experience for me. Since I was alone, I found the only spot open, and it was next to a guy that reminded me of the crazy hobo guy from ATHF that inquired about buying their house and said "Alabama". Well, I had to sit next to Mister Ten, and I couldn't do anything. If I touched the little controller, he would probably go nuts. The entire time, he was yelling "Ten, five, (incoherent rambling), TEN!!!" As for the ride itself... eh... woulda been nice if I could control the thing. After Batwing, I took pics and shopped around and picked up the Six Flags complete collection of souviner maps. 13 maps for 10 bucks than just buying one for five, great deal! Also, I took one last ride on TwisterII since it was still a walk on. Overall, SFEG was a decent park and with light crowds, the day was awesome. I really hope this park isn't sold seeing that it has a huge presence in the locals. This trip added 5 new coasters to my count. Overall; 7/10 Credits missed: Kiddie coaster (forgot name), Boomerang. PICS COMING SOON![/b] I came, I saw, I broke park rules... MORE PICS LATER, d00ds! CHOOSE A CAPTION! 1. SIGNATURE SHOT!!1 -or- 2. I have a missile... IN MY PANTS!! AGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, it needed that many exclaimation marks... Best coaster in the park? Hells yeah... Guess Who? Mind Eraser, it ain't that bad folks... Wow, I didn't know roller coasters could post on forums. I thought your name was Taylor . *Insert epic movie score here* Joe's paradise... Sorry, no CAR 4 ACTION today . That and I guess I will never get a Boomerang credit... Half Pipe- one sweet Intamin. Lets open this trip with this SIGNATURE SHOT!!1

Hi, LOVE SFKK, mine is 8 inches, how big is yours? You had to watch South Park to get that. -
Metroid Prime Pinball on the DS. Can't beat a huge $9 game sale at Circuit City.
