  1. If you go in September make sure you don't go on Ace/Gay day (they were the same day last year) since the park is PACKED on that day (I think its this weekend but don't quote me).
  2. Also the added weight of the sand in the track which is an significant amount would likely require larger supports. I hadn't thought about the noise but you are correct their is no way Whitehall Township approve Mantis with the amount of noise it currently makes. They've been more relaxed in the last 5 years to the point where I think we could see a giga but not unless its silent. This is has to be Dorney just messing with us. I don't believe Mantis is going anywhere. By announcing its "closure" it a good way of tricking some of the GP that a revamped Mantis with floorless or sitting train as a "new coaster". Yep just like they did with the Bizarro's and X2 (paint, special effects, new trains). Also what I mean by taking the track apart I mean the covers on the ends of the tracks and supports. This
  3. Floorless dispatches would be faster since the hold up for stand up coasters is people fooling around with the seats and not being seated correctly (which causes the operator to unlock and check the trains again). Also the third train is long gone since they were using it for parts to service the other trains.
  4. Lets remember two things 1. Dorney Park has sever noise restrictions and Mantis is one of THE loudest coaster Ive ever heard. I don't see them taking apart EVERY single track piece and Support to put sand in to quite it. 2. Green Lantern (which is essentially the same ride with a bigger drop and a added corkscrew and helix) is only a couple of hours away (but then again we have Goliath and Great White literally across the street).
  5. Remember the Bizarro conversions... Edit: Also the girl is hugging the standup trains and not the track, could this mean bye bye standup trains?
  6. Apparently Skyrider is for sale. http://www.italintl.com/detail_page.php?record_id=1886 Maybe the Japanese will take it back
  7. This ride looks really good (better than the original). I just hope some jackass teen doesn't ruin this ride like Dueling Dragons.
  8. ^ I would take Time Machine as all of our steel coasters are crap.
  9. Now I'm torn on whether it's sitdown/floorless Mantis or RMC Mean Streak. Either one would be great. My guess is that both of those will eventually happen, with one of them coming next year. I also predict that whatever comes next year will also get renamed King James (assuming they're really serious about that). I don't think there will be a RMC Mean Streak since we know the two RMCs this year are Wicked Cyclone and Twisted Colossus and the third is Wildfire which will open in 2016 (we know this since Alan Schilke mentioned that there will be 3 RMC coasters opening in 2015 and 2016).
  10. Good hopefully it stays open in September when we are going down because I really want to ride it.
  11. ^ I just hope they don't turn into B&M (right now they remind me of B&M in the 90s).
  12. Well it is China, what do you expect... Anyways even though this is a copy of Lotte World, I'm ok with that since I had a very good time when I went there a couple years ago
  13. This is RMC we are talking about not B&M, all RMC coaster so far have been some of the best rated rides in the world, I don't think SF would ruin that streak (unless Alan Schilke isn't working on this project)
  14. ^ Sadly I think part of the problem with this park is that people just go to it while being in the Lake George area, I am one of the locals who wants to see this park excel but this reason is why SF doesn't invest in this park too much because tourist will still come to it anyway.
  15. That's exactly why it is a mistake. GAdv assumed NJ would allow them to run both rides simultaneously. They should have done their homework some more, before rushing to slap the ride onto KK and then fighting with the state to get it open. No its because NJ told them at the last second they couldn't do it. Its really silly since LLDD and Giant Drop operate just fine with no loose article incident, we also have Top Thrill Dragster with the midway right behind the tower, the que in the middle, and the midway going next to the launch area with again no incident. Its just NJ politics being corrupt as usually. What do you expect from NJ and its Liberal excessive regulations. That's what NJ voters, vote for, over regulated and high taxes. Oh I know its just that I didn't want to say that incase I offended someone (its very easy to do that nowadays)

  17. Nope if you look at this video you can see RWB still standing (this video is pretty recent within this year) [youtu_be]http://youtu.be/3vh2KcyMDS0[/youtu_be]
  18. I think all of it is still there (same goes for the Big Dipper) if you can get close enough try to get some photos.
  19. Plus ms would be difficult to take out due to it being right next to the road and campground (I imagine they use the road quite a bit in the of season).
  20. I think its something to do with the golden kingdom path (the water wheel is from the old golden kingdom splash pool).
  21. ^ I've heard those rides are nightmares to maintain (something SFGAdv doesn't need) however, a Mack Super splash could work.
  22. Quick question, is it even possible to not get ejector on the return?!?!? it's some of the most intense ejector of any coaster! Yep, I noticed it when I had a similar situation you had (just after rain and running 1 train) and they had to turn the trims off to make sure it wouldn't valley on the return. If you go again make sure to ride magnum when it isn't raining, its a completely different beast.
