  1. Yeah, I had a terrible experience when I went. Was so packed and yup rides went down at random times, lines were slow as snails. Deff thinking I'll be going on a Thursday!
  2. Shame, seemed like a nice lil park with some solid coasters. I always heard Cornball was quietly epic. Guess this isn't too surprising, not in a big travel spot and doesn't have the pull of HW. Also didn't this place have tax issues and almost closed a few years ago? Sad I never made it
  3. I see. Yeah my concern is the last time I went to KW was a Sat (and this was late Aug) and it was JAMMED. Fine at first but the crowds kept building and by halfway through everything was mobbed. So I'd like to avoid that. Thinking best to do KW on a weekday to be safe. In early June I can't imagine there's crowds
  4. I know this park can get gnarly. How bad can I expect crowds to be on a Sat in early June? If bad, is it reasonable with a fast pass?
  5. So I will be in PA/OH early June (4-7). I am weighing which is the better park to do on a Sat. How crowded can I expect KW to be on a Sat in early June? There is no type of fast pass type deal correct? Would it perhaps be better to do this on a weekday, and KI on a Sat with fast pass?
  6. I'll be going to NJ in Sept. Its not just the best time for me but I figured even SF will have the ride open by then ....... They will, right? lol
  7. What are the chances of this being open by late May/early June?
  8. Thanks all. I will deff be in Gatlinburg, and also taken a day to check out Great Smoky Mnt Park. Ofc a day in Dollywood (a May weekday surely will be dead) Knoxville is low priority really I'kk just be there for the day before my flight leaves. The trip will be for DW, Gatlinburg and the scenery.
  9. June doesn't seem likely. I'll prob be going in May. Will try for a weekday. I assume it'll be quiet. I will also be doing Gatlinburg, I hear there are alpine coasters nearby? If so, any recs for the best one? I've never done one. Also open to ideas for what to do in Knoxville!
  10. Wow. It looks just beautiful, and great speed. This was a good year to take my first TX trip.
  11. Superb photos. This ride will be spectacular.
  12. God it looks amazing. A huge RMC 4 hours away (which is also the closest park to me...I miss the northeast!) I may get a season pass
  13. Well I did see a video about this new project (and thus far they've been darn near spot on) and well....that is something. I love a unique coaster, and it looks pretty dope, but...what? It seems like it should've been part of Pantheon which, according to the internets, it was supposed to be? Shame that would've been nuts. And yes, with RMC (rightfully) dominating the 2010s glad Intamin is showing they're still in the game
  14. Great review dude!! I did piss on the roll out of this place, the joke of a site things like that but the actual rides looked pretty good, and you confirm. Deff will stop here in Sept. Hopefully by then Sandy's will be open! The POV looks sick. And yes, the idea of being able to go to a park, and a solid one at that, in winter is a wonderful thing.
  15. Well, I didn't specify park related so fair I also need to think, do I want to start in Dallas go down to San Antonio and back up, or do a big triangle and hit Houston as well? Feels more logical, and can do Kemah! But no idea what there is to do. Anyone know what in Houston is worth stopping by for?
  16. Awesome! Thanks! Yeah I'll be in NJ for Labor Day weekish, and since DC is a city you can fly direct to Tallahassee I was thinking of taking taking 2 days (Sat and Sun) in VA to do KD and here, before heading back to FL. I'm stoked, I was 11 when I last went there and there were just 4 real rides. Beautiful park but we spent alot of time just kind of chilling. I can't wait to see it again, do the rides Ive missed (all look good) and ofc Pantheon
  17. Cant wait to go here. Been 20 years!! Pantheon looks insane. I am looking at a Sunday in mid Sept, any idea what crowds are usually like? How much time is needed? If I focus on coasters is it possible to be done by like 5 or 6 PM?
  18. God I love this park's hours. Debating when to go. Either in May, early June on a Sunday, or during summer, in Aug perhaps. What are crowds like at this park at these times. I assume weekday in May will be dead. Not sure about a weekday during summer. What is best summer (June - Aug) month for a weekday? Also this park has some type of fast pass? I didnt see it on the site, but I only looked quick and I recall someone saying there is one?
  19. Think I decided I will do my vaca in TX, based on the US Grand Prix in Austin in Oct. Will sure hit up San Antonio as well and SFFT, Sea World SA and ZDT (if open). I'd be flying into/out of Dallas where a friend lives so SFoT is quite easy. Is there anything else relatively along the way when doing the Dallas, Austin, SA triangle?
  20. Oh how could I forget? When I do visit NJ I'll prob swing by Lake Compounce (about the same drive to Hershey). Only time I went was for a couple of hours, was basically squeezing it in, due to being with slow stop happy friends got one ride on Boulder Dash. It was also in the 50s cloudy, slight drizzle at times. So it was not running well. Hoping for more rides and better ones on a hot sunny day. Depending what is open...possibly American Dream mall
  21. So stoked an RMC, a huge one, will be just a few hours from me! Speaking of, is there any vague idea/guesses on an opening? I will be in St Pete early March so it'd be pretty sweet to pop over to BGT. Though I will be going when it opens regardless
  22. Definite: Kennywood Cedar Point King's Island Carowinds (when I do my layover in Charlotte) SFGAdv Hershey Thinking of doing KD and BGW on my way up and down Busch Gardens Tampa Sea World Orlando Dollywood (new park) Possible: SF Great America, KBF, Texas Parks. All would be new, depends where I take my big vaca this year. Will be 3rd year of serious coaster travelling. Added 10-12 new parks and over 75 new creds these last 3 years, tons of quality too. Glad to keep it up, thanks in part to this site!
  23. Gunna be a great year! Cant wait for Orion, Jersey Devil, Iron Gwazi, Pantheon and Ice Breaker which looks pretty fun. These are just what I can easily do! Gotta try and fit in Hershey and some of the 2019 rides I missed! Thanks for the thread!
  24. This, and although not actually part of the WCB weekend, there will be the new stuff in Disneyland Resort, too. Rise of The Resistance will be open, followed by the Avengers Campus opening in DCA in the summer. And Knott's. Not a big Disney guy myself but deff! Yeah I regret not going to Knotts in 2013. Wasnt able to get back to CA till this year and due to time constraints (gotta see tons of other stuff besides parks!) I cut Knotts from my plans. Shame heard such good things. I will likely go to CA next year regardless. So many good RMCs! I have heard TC generally ranked lower (some say bottom) of the RMC list but IDK why. I thought it was wild! Tons of air, throwing you around, cool elements and great pace. Some gripe about the 2nd lift killing the ride but I dont get that...to me it was basically a re-ride (which you'd want to do anyway) without the need to get off and back on!
