Shane's Amusement Attic

I thought that it never had "the electrical system finished" according to rcdb.com yet the picture shows the ride running So Intamin owned Giovanola? AND they owned Scwarzkopf's intellectual property? -

Roller Coaster at Al Sha'ab looks to be when Arrow became more freeform with their looping coasters. -

I wrote to Walter Bolliger once and he replied quickly. He sent some brochures too. I'll try again then Oh, and I can't wait to see the Meisho brochure, since I've seen enough Intamin already. Meisho always seemed more exotic to me than Intamin, albeit rougher than Intamin. And I wonder how Vekoma was involved with the ride. I thought maybe the lift, yet Meisho's Loop Coaster at Toy Kingdom http://www.rcdb.com/id1277.htm opened before Vekoma made their first Boomerang coaster. ^And I think riding coasters in the snow sounds fun! -

I've always wanted a Meisho brochure or for the matter, any brochure from a manufacturer. I've sent emails but haven't got any, so I guess I'd have to go to IAAPA to get brochures. As for the sound, I think those are tire screeches. Even Vortex at Great America has tire screeches on some parts, but Moonsault Scramble probably burned up more tires. -
Were parks really better quality back in the 80s? I wonder what happened to make today's parks less charming then. Where the people back then really smiling all the time and didn't have to worry about people swearing in front of their kids or lazy park employees, or are these brochures really just "glamorizing" their park? Anyways, judging from all these pictures, the parks seemed more colorful back then.

New S&S ride footage

Judging from the Eejanaika video, that eagle coaster will probably be very rough with its wide trains. Though the concept itself looks very fun to me! -

Haha, I've got some coaster close-ups as well (oh yeah, and on his site there are pictures with people and trains in action) ...but curvy as well B&Ms were very cluttered at first... You can see the dirt and rust. Old school B&M track connectors. Look at those curves. -

I like how they show the massiveness of the track. And since I like seeing technical aspects of rides, being able to view the connectors is exciting for me as seen by the photos I took: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=38434&highlight= Where none of the pictures I took have people in them So to each his or her own then. -
Hersheypark Announces Fahrenheit!

Yeah, I wish they made a nicer animation. However, the public doesn't really know what NoLimits is, so I think it's all right that Hershey used it. -

That track does look bare, but maybe they're going to hand paint it like Alton did with Nemesis. At least it won't be as neon-bright as its sister ride in Japan. -
Haha! I'm scared of that. The track would be bent weird, the square sections would be shoddily made, no heart lining,... The Vekoma track is probably alot cheaper and simpler for them to copy (since it's based on tubes) than the square track B&M uses (I know how tubes are bent, yet I don't know how B&M track is made, maybe a bunch of triangles are welded together?). Although it might be good if they could make B&M style rides that aren't so expensive... On topic, this ride seems really cartoonish to me with its bright colors. I honestly wish more rides were happy looking like this. I'm tired of red and blue, red and black, red and white... Blood red and yellow looks nice to me.

Favorite Arrow Coaster
stormrider replied to CdnbMatt's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Unrelated: http://www.shaabpark.com/photogallery/photo5.html This is apparently the classic corkscrew, this is a 1996 Arrow, so it seems it was in 1996 that they started making better engineered rides as seen by the Tennessee Tornado style track. Related: Of the two Arrows I've been on, I'd say that I liked X better than Canyon Blaster, except for the extremely long wait in line. There was just so much confusion on that ride that I had to watch it in a simulation game to see what I went through. -
Aww, that was my first drop ride! I just got into amusement parks when my family went to Texas in 2002 when I was 11. I remember that ride being "okay" with me getting very delusional afterwards and my legs being wobbly. I didn't hate it, but it was painful in a few ways. And off topic, we watched a video of the Freefall at Magic Mountain taken in the 80s (and the park looked nice btw with green grass everywhere and no dominating Riddler's Revenge) in Physics class where they analyzed free-fall. I'll miss Wildcatter for sentimental reasons

New Suspended Wild Mouse
stormrider replied to Gutterflower's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That's probably because the Chinese rip-offers are too lazy to make entirely curved sections Why "waste" your millions of dollars on a B&M when you can get contract Beijing Shiabaolai Amusements and get a rip off version LOL. http://www.china-sbl.com/ They've even made the Disk-O. -

Who is your favorite Character
stormrider replied to Team Thriller's topic in Random, Random, Random
I like Takuya from Digimon Season 4 since he's hot headed and talkative. You might want to add book characters as an option to reply to, because there are plenty of likable book characters.
