Yes, you did spell "theming" wrong. But...eh... Nice TR and pictures. Dixie Landin' looks like a fun place. Sometimes the smaller parks are more fun than the big Six Flags and Cedar Fair parks. We don't have many places like that out here in Collapse-ifornia (called that in honor of our earthquake an hour ago). Eric

I'd say a nice hunk of Cheddar cheese...my favorite! Eric

Nice time at Dodger Stadium today. Dodgers won 2-0 over the Nationals in a rather unexciting game. But just being out there today was fun. Eric

Tiger Stadium in Detroit finally comes down

^^ Thanks for setting the record straight, Joey. I didn't count my stadiums very well, did I? Eric -
"It's also a sad thing when a parent has to bury their kids." (Terry) I'll take that statement one step further and say that I think it's the very worst thing that a parent would ever have to do. My mom got to do that when my sister passed away from cancer back in 1999 at the "ripe old" age of 37. And one of her granddaughters (in fact, the daughter of my sister who died) has been having some health problems, including an "almost positive" test for HPV. And she's only 22 with a four-year-old son. Terry, it's great that your friend had such a nice memorial service. The one for my sister had 300 people show up (standing room only) and went on for over two hours because of everyone who wanted to get up and say something. Sometimes things happen that you have no control over, but it just emphasizes the fact that we all should work to take care of ourselves the very best we can. Eric

There's a nice filet mignon in the fridge with my name on it. And would you look at that...it's almost dinnertime... Eric

Funny thing...we were just talking about baseball stadiums earlier today. I knew Tiger Stadium was doomed, but it's still sad to actually see it coming down. Another classic ballpark destroyed. And Shea Stadium in New York is going to be torn down, too. I didn't know that till just last week when I saw an article about Billy Joel playing there for the "last time." Dodger Stadium here in L.A. will become the second oldest park in the major leagues once Yankee Stadium is torn down later this year. I'm glad to see that the Dodgers haven't jumped on the "let's build a new multi-bazillion dollar stadium" bandwagon. Theirs will be 50 in 2012, and in my opinion is still a great place to see a ball game. My first visit there was in 1970 when it was just eight years old, and I'm glad to see that its owners are putting so much into it---most recently, replacing seats to restore its original pastel color configuration. And I'm going tomorrow for the game! You can go here to get updates on it. Eric -
The only green Hummers I can imagine are the ones sitting on the lot, unsold, and covered with mold from sitting! As for truly green cars, I think there's a future with hydrogen. It's plentiful, and cars using it produce no emissions (except water). Eric

I noticed that Ryan came back in and edited "I Don't Remember What This is Callled" to "Hollywood Bow." He didn't see my error! Sorry about that, Ryan! But really, I did enjoy your Photo TR. I'm now inspired to take a trip back down there, and maybe I'll hit SeaWorld, too. I still need my Journey to Nowhere credit. Eric

^ Correctamente. Actually, I did mean "Hollywood Bowl." Don't know where the L went... Eric

I've been in July and October. October was better for me, as the evening at WDW was almost as pleasant as here in SoCal. Eric

"I Don't Remember What This Is Called" (Ryan) Whether it's 1999 or 2008, that place is known as the Hollywood Bow. Nice TR. It's time for me to visit Legoland again... Eric

Did a long time ago, but not anymore. Have you ever called in sick when you weren't really sick?

^^ And if I can jump in, you might pay closer attention to your spelling while you're at it. Eric

Dan's is smart because he's focusing on his career instead of hanging out on roller coaster message boards. At least that's what I know. Eric

It is so possible. The radius of a hot dog under those conditions is the square root of pie---preferably apple a la mode. Who decided on what the original M&Ms colors would be? -
^ Fast chick. < Slow dude. V Just...slow...!

Putting on Elton John's Crocodile Rock and dancing the minuet with Grandma! Why can't they call Pringles potato "chips?" -
Indiana Beach - Photo TR - 7.15.08
ebl replied to Theme-Park-Urge's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
"The kids are all smiles while mom reads the newspaper." (Theme-Park-Urge) Odd place for your mom to read a newspaper... Otherwise, Indiana Beach looks like a fun park. One day maybe I'll give it a try. Eric -
^ That's how it is everywhere. Fat people don't stand a chance as a rule. I was up well over 200 lbs. once. And I was at 117 once (deathly ill, but I got better). Now I'm 165 and look...presentable. But as for my rant...TIMECLOCKS. I'm sure I've ranted before about this, but I'm getting tired of having to check my watch so I can get to the timeclock right on time so I don't clock in too early or too late. Eric

Nope. Do you attend church?
