  1. Much love to TCV. I would say Elephants is my favorite song off the album. Have you listened to much Queens of the Stone Age?
  2. 13/20, but I made a super dumb mistake. Let's just say that I thought Expedition GeForce was at Holiday World (if only!)
  3. They're installing the final track piece on the first drop. You can even see the track piece dangling from the crane above... Oh I didn't realize that this picture was that old. My bad. I hereby formally retract my worry.
  4. I think it was stated somewhere a few pages back that this would be the only trim on the entire course. Although now that I'm looking at this picture, I'm starting to get a little worried about what they're doing to the first drop with that crane
  5. Our children's children will be commenting about how this girl is all over the place in promotional material.
  6. I never really fly in my dreams. I either jump incredibly great distances, or I'm running and my strides are so wide that I'm gliding just above the ground. So basically I'm a SuperBall in my dreams.
  7. It's quite interesting you said that, considering that this album is nothing more than old, re-recorded demo tapes. Ah, pardon my ignorance; I can hear that now. But I still feel like there's something missing. It doesn't seem quite as youthfully mischievous as classic Van Halen is. Plus there's a lot to be said about production technique; it doesn't really have that Eddie Van Halen tone that's so recognizable. But I probably just sound like some grumpy old man complaining about music these days. Get off my lawn!
  8. Idle speculation is the lifeblood of TPR. We gotta do something until an official announcement is made. My schoolwork isn't going to put off itself!
  9. Don't ever re-watch VHSes from your childhood. They will never be as good as you remember. ...Unless one of those VHSes happens to be America's Greatest Roller Coaster Thrills in 3-D. Then it's unintentionally hilarious.
  10. ^If it weren't for the video title I wouldn't have even realized those first two tracks were Van Halen songs. And the last one just sounds like an inferior version of Ice Cream Man. Sigh. Not even the good bands make 'em like they used to .
  11. Are there any other TPRers floating around out there who are also fans of The Room? And if you're not, you should be.
  12. Right now I'm obsessed with by Big Star
  13. I can't wait to see what it'll look like tomorrow I'm also curious to see what they'll do with the front of Comet's station. Will it be the classic design but just a few feet back? Or will they try to go with a different style?
  14. Upon further consideration and RCDB research, I figured that it could be done with scaled-up versions of Colossuss' and Speed's loops. I guess I was just a bit concerned considering both companies' historical tendencies to go a bit crazy with supports.
  15. What got me wondering is the whole 'world's largest loop' that this will allegedly have. I just get the feeling that neither Premier nor Intamin will be able to pull off such a huge loop without it being ridiculously oversupported or otherwise kinda awkward-looking. Really the only people who can pull off huge loops like this are B&M, and they're out of the picture (unless we've been fooled this whole time and B&M is secretly debuting their first proper launching coaster! but also )
  16. [citation needed]. Although it would be a lot of fun to have a GCI at Canada's Wonderland. Anybody know what terms to put into Google Image Search to get that 'logo'?
  17. Y'know, as I was typing my questions I sorta figured that it wouldn't be too difficult. Just wanted to make sure. And I also wouldn't be too crazy about entirely backwards Freeze. I have yet to ride S:EFK to confirm this, but I would think that backwards launches aren't quite as exciting. I'm a big fan of the wind in your face as you fly down the track and see the first element rapidly coming up to greet you, a luxury backwardsization wouldn't afford.
  18. Am I the only one who thought from the press release that those handles on the restraints will contain those Shocker things that you find in arcades? I mean, "Dose of shock therapy"? "Electrifying" on-board audio? Those handlebars definitely will have live wires running through them.
  19. I really hope it's that times three. But I'm really hoping that it won't be a Gerstlauer (even though the probability of that is extremely low). I don't know what it is about Euro Fighter style trains, but they just seem... goofy to me. The single cars don't really appear to have the same grace and agility that along multi-car train has.To illustrate my (probably insane) viewpoint compare to . [/mini-rant] EDIT: I just realized what Euro Fighter cars remind me of: www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=ydVp-2B8qlw#t=50s
  20. I think the problem with the Silly Little Tires is that they weren't scaled up along with the overturned truck. If they got some slightly larger tires (can't they just sort of root around in a scrap yard or something? They don't have to be immaculate) and recessed them into the 'truck' like all tires are everywhere, it would look sufficiently convincing. That being said, HOLY HELL THIS LOOKS AWESOME. I also really really hope they keep the actors. Or at least some of them.
  21. I must admit that I was guilty of this for about 10 seconds In the time between me seeing there was a new coaster called 'S:UF' on RCDB and me clicking on the images page, I kept thinking "Where are they going to fit a flying coaster in at Discovery Kingdom???"
  22. But really, I'm quite surprised that this thread has gone so quiet lately. Not so much as a "Looks great! Can't wait to ride!" Oh, and by the way... looks great! Can't wait to ride!
