  1. The proper German pronunciation would be close to Vo-dahn. They said it that way in some of the ads. I'll get the IPA up soon
  2. Results are in! 2 4 23 38 46 23 Anybody get anything? Surprisingly, I won a whopping $0!
  3. Well, they both face a southerly direction, and they are both in states that end in -nia. It's like they're the same coaster
  4. In a way it's... strangely appealing. I mean, Chinese dragons themselves are pretty fabulous, so why shouldn't Khan be too?
  5. Using the wrong then/than What's worse than eating a bag of potato chips and having nothing to drink?
  6. Godhead Pickle Inspector thinks you should just relax and have fun, and not worry too much about it.
  7. Is this the 2013 Astroworld addition that I've been hearing murmurs about in the World Wide Web community?
  8. Holiday World doesn't strike me as a place that would even want a B&M... wouldn't fit in with their vibe. If there are going to be any rumors about HW getting a new coaster, it would probably be about something like an Intamin Pre-Fab.
  9. There's a rumor that Bizarro will enter the Ride Rotation program and be replaced by a spiffy new Wing Rider, but this has about as much evidence as all the other WR-related rumors. AKA:
  10. I quite like these colors, at least in the context of SFFT. They really complement the quarry wall.
  11. This. Ahhh, it's good to see GASM and the Chiller still in the park. Oh nostalgia... Is the Intamin Fart the noise the train makes as it zooms over the second airtime hill? Because I LOVE THAT NOISE!
  12. ^ Two reasons why that's correct: 1. From what exists, 'Mega-Lite' refers to a fairly specific layout. It's much more accurate to call I305 a super-sized Mega-Lite than it is to call Skyrush one. It fits into the more general Mega category. 2. Google's definition of 'lite' is "Of or relating to low-fat or low-sugar versions of manufactured food or drink products." If you eat a super-sized portion of 'lite' food, it's like you had the regular kind anyway.
  13. Oh you're right. It'd be a bad idea to press my luck like that. But where there's a will, there's a way.
  14. If a ride is awesome enough, I feel like a short run-time would actually help a coaster out. Take Storm Runner for example. The whole thing is over in about a minute, but once you hit that brake run you're just blown away and can't make heads or tails of what just happened... and then of course get right back on to try and figure it out!
  15. The two Freezes were made after the Chiller, so there was slightly more time to work out the kinks with the LIM systems. Plus I'm sure it didn't help that for a little while they tried to launch both Chiller tracks at once.
  16. I hope they like theme parks as much as you because It's still 780 km or 485 miles to get the Europa Park from Berlin. So you would have really nice relatives if they will drive you there ! Or have relatives who like you enough to let you borrow their car
  17. I never really understood why Hershey had even considered the Frequent Faller model. Other than being "the one that goes sideways", I don't really see anything appealing about its layout or design; plus I'm sure it would've been a prototypical and maintenance nightmare. I think it was wise decision on HP's part to scrap it.
  18. It's even got 3d! Classy. How much is it, maybe TPR could scrounge up enough cash to bring it to the States.
  19. Well, Dinosaurs Alive is going on the MF island, right? Maybe CF figure's they'll weave the coaster around the island once DA tanks . They figure it'll stay interesting and worthwhile for about a year, and then it's coaster time!
  20. The park isn't permitted to build enclosed tunnels on coasters, they have to be open-sided like on Roar. I wasn't aware of this restriction; I'm assuming it's unique to SFA. Any particular reason for it?
  21. Screamscape is giving preference to Cedar Point for a new Wing Rider, and gives a potential location:
  22. I'm guessing that the parking would go long before the campgrounds etc. The resorts help make Cedar Point a destination park, and I were CF I wouldn't want to give that up. But for the time being, they could always just settle for ingeniously weaving coasters through existing structures and random bits of land, like what happened with... SKYRUSH! (See what I did there? ) Anyone have an idea when the trains are going to be put on the track? What steps are left before testing can start?
