  1. Arigaito! (spelling, sorry!) The Japanese seem to have this gadget fetish like no other place on earth- and I thought Narita had a lot of Gadget shops- this is ridiculous!
  2. Crap. So that's where it was three weeks ago. I was in the wrong terminal. LAX can't even get the suicide booths in the right place. Robb: The TR needs more food photos- and by far, two pics of StarPort 86 are NOT enough.
  3. ^ Best. TPR BAG OF CRAP. Post. Ever.
  4. Stunning, Mike, simply stunning.
  5. A.J.: that would have to be ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
  6. ^ ICK. ICK. ICK. (No wonder your mother couldn't order things from Sears... the pages were sticky.)
  7. Using the A.D.A. Guidelines to eliminate lines at theme parks... (Thank you US Government for that... no more Q-Bots, no more lines, no more waiting)
  8. Amazing Photo TR; Just out of curiositiy, do you have more pics of the River Rapids ride? That one looks INSANE.
  9. ^ ENTER it in the Track of the Week Contest!!! R.D.
  10. ^ Kleenex, please. Amazing, A.J. Simply Amazing. A perfect rendition of one of my top-ten coasters ever. R.D.
  11. Shuttle Launch allowed? <: Head meet wall. Wall meet Head. Become friends. Repeat. I'm wondering if just for ONCE somebody would SIMPLY READ THE F'ING statements. I mean REALLY. If it got spelled out any clearer, Helen Keller would be able to PLAY THE ToTW contest. End rant.
  12. Before answering that, remember this: 1.) How many B&M shuttle coasters are there? 2.) How many B&M launch coasters are there? There's your answer! (Seriously for a second, folks: Don't try to interpret too much out of the given track! If we say "B&M Sitdown Looping, that's pretty clear- it's a sitdown looper by B&M. Not a launcher, not a shuttle, but a full-circuit B&M Looper.) R.D. Games Forum Moderating Team
  13. Nah- Our kids are WAAAY too bright for that, after all, you ARE sitting down, therefore it's a sitdown coaster... (Perhaps, just for the sake of our slower, not-so-bright apple kids, we should S-P-E-L it out for them: A coaster like Kumba, Dragon Kahn or Wildfire is a SITDOWN LOOPER. A coaster like Medusa, Dark Knight or Kraken is a FLOORLESS coaster. Just in case there's confusion over it...
  14. I can hope so- When I get back to my own computer, I'll be re-writing the format for the spreadsheet (and re-organizing it as well). I think this will really put a fire underneath people to get moving.
  15. It looks like the numbers didn't change all that much; CBC was the winner- but by a narrow narrow margine of less than 5.0 pts. (THe spreadsheet is acting 'funny' so I've had to do it by hand. The winner is Coasterboy80-
  16. Sure nuff- I'll try to get it out as soon as possible- but have a 'dinner' meeting in a few minutes- R.D.
  17. Anyone interested in stopping by and paying him a visit? Damn my being on the wrong side of the country- and the wrong side of the planet right now... I'm wondering what sort of 'clue' those will be- or for that matter, if anybody will get one 'digitally'?
  18. B&M Sitdown looping for me- although inverted works out well, too. How did you like it? I'm looking for ideas for the next update for it already; I've got a few ideas, but I'd like feedback on how you liked it's design. Also, I'd run the numbers tommorow morning, just to be on the safe side- I just found the last competitior in the bin a few minutes ago (On a different schedule right now due to the Paris Air Show). (And yes, your ride DOES have that special feel to it that I really liked, A.J. The CBC clone knocked my head off- and got 'demerit' points when I ranked it.) As for the new 'points' system for the ToTW contest: Perhaps we should explain that we're changing up the system officially starting tommorow- and explain the earlier you get your park in, the better it is for a potential 'win' in the challenge. Any thoughts about this?
  19. The cutoff for the Track of The Week contest is Midnight Monday- so any entries to that point are elegible. HOWEVER: The sooner you get your ride in, the sooner you can be voted on.
  20. Ummmm... I don't think that your listed website exists... could you please verify the name?
  21. Halfway point update: 11 entries- plus the one I've put up as well (my own) with one that's a potential DQ due to being out of format. I've e-mailed him to send us the 'saved game' format- instead of the Scenario format (for obvious reasons; if he's made it into a scenario, it's going to be impossible to see if he's 'fixed' the park up with that feature) Not a bad start- but I want to double that, plus some. My goal is 25 entries this round- if not more. C.P.M. will be 'promoting' the park today- and continuing to offer encouragement along the way. R.D.
  22. ToTW 'points' generator v.1.01 (Or how I learned to stop worrying and love the functional equasion of advance requirements) OK: Here it is: After some tinkering and some experimenting, version 1.01a is now ready to be used. It's simple: I think we're ready for a 'dry run' of the spreadsheet with today's contest- we can then take a look at how close it plays out to what's desired. Instructions are the same- but I think it will make it easier for us to get an accurate 'point-count' in the future. I'm already working on V.1.02 and V2.0 for the future- stay tuned. R.D. ToTW worksheet 1.01A.xlsx Here it is- have fun...
  23. Such a good time I think to visit my friend Paolo in Ancona...
