  4. I haven't posted on here in a long time! But, I've been to Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Hershey again, SFGAdv twice, and SFNE. Here my trip report from Great Adventure on August 3, 2012. That day was Great Adventure Online Day and we got a backstage tour of Kingda Ka! It was really cool being right under the launch track. Me and my friend Andrew (nitro4ever) got to the park around 2:30. After a quick stop at Wawa, we headed into the park. Since he has a season pass, we got free parking. And I got in the park for 20 bucks! Ride Count: Nitro 1x Deja Vu 1x Jolly Roger 1x Kingda Ka 1x El Toro 1x Bizarro 1x Sky Screamer 1x Kingda Ka from our parking space. Green Lantern as we head to the entrance. Green Lantern's yellow loop. Superman from the parking lot. We headed to Sky Screamer first. We waited for about 10 minutes. We had an awkward encounter with a 7 year old trying to get me to date her sister. lol We were just about to ride, but there was a thunderstorm coming. So we left and we headed to Nitro. We went for some more B&M awesomeness after Nitro. Batman was close so that's where we went. The wait was 15 minutes. But it closed as we were going to ride. So we decided to head toward the Stunt Arena and The Old Country to see what was left. We heard thunder and realized we weren't riding any coasters for a while. So we headed to Deja Vu. Then we looking for some credit whoring. We stumbled upon Jolly Roger. We met up with the rest of the group at the fountain. After waiting under an awning for about 10 minutes, we headed toward Ka to wait for the tour to start. It turns out that part of the park lost power. So Robbie Towns, our tour guide, had to take care of it. We stood around and talked with a couple of employees for about an hour and a half. Everything got back up and running and we started the tour. The remains of the green train. We found our self standing near the launch track for a while. A TTD style shot. More of the tower. I can get enough of this ride. SPIRAL!!! Airtime! Up the tower. Inside the tower! Rolling Thunder is visible too! We eventually made our way to the hydro-room. It was a cool experience. But, we couldn't take pictures. Shortly after I took this, we headed back where the tour ended. But, there was a surprise! We got to ride without waiting! We eventually ran to El Toro where we scored the back seat with no line. The we rode Bizarro in the 2md row. Then we sprinted to Sky Screamer where I kind of freaked out but we had a great day!
  5. I've visited Great Adventure alot. But, I've never used public transportation to get there. As for lines, SharkTums was completly right. Wait and see how the crowds are. Then determine if you want the Flash Pass. The crowds can get large at times so watch out for that.

    Florida Trip

Oh I forgot about that. We are visiting in the last week in August (next week). Magic Kingdom is definite as are the rest of the parks I mentioned. We are still unsure. It's down to Hollywood Studios and the two you mentioned SharkTums. Our flight is at 6 am on Monday. And we have a 7 o'clock flight on Friday night.

    Florida Trip

Hey guys! I know you live in Florida now so you know more about the parks there than I do. I'm from New Jersey so it isn't often that I get to visit the great parks Florida has. My plan is to visit Sea World, Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Universal, and Islands of Adventure. We aren't sure of the order of parks yet. I'd love to hear your comments and how the lines and experience would be.
  8. Great TR! This park seems like a Disney or Universal. But, while most are terrible, this seems to work!
  9. I like Jim Bruer as my favorite comedian.
  10. Sorry for not posting in a while. I accidently deleted the file of Rivertown. But, I'm reviving this thread. My new timeline park, Longwood Amusement Park. If any of you guys have seen this on SGW or RCTLounge, don't worry! Those are my accounts. Well, here you go. 1978 Hello. I'm David Nichols, future general manager of Longwood Amusement Park. The park is located just outside Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. I've always had the dream of working at an amusement park, now it's a reality. Well, alot has been completed. Including one of our coasters. Take a look! Shot0613.bmp This is an overview of the midway. The brown building is an ice cream parlor, the red building is the train station, and the blue one is the emporium. Shot0614.bmp Here's the Carousel. A fun family ride. Shot0615.bmp Here's the coaster, Twister! Shot0616.bmp The ride is built by Schwarzkopf, it's the same type of ride as Willard's Whizzer at Marriott's Great America. Shot0617.bmp Here's another family ride, Magic Carpet. Shot0619.bmp Looking down the midway. See you soon!
  11. I live nowhere near Farup Sommerland, though I want to go, this looks really cool. It seems like a perfect addition to this park. I hope Vekoma brings back Suspended coasters like this and Kvasten. But, I also hope they're smooth!
  12. I agree with everything SoCal said. I think adding some bodies of water can ever help. Cedar Point is flat. But it has many bodies of water, and quite a bit of trees. Kings Dominion has some terrain. And many trees. Add more trees and make the paths wider. And have less lamps. I see potential here. Hopefully you take our advice. Good Luck!
  13. ^ I like Wildcat but it is rough. I like i because of how crazy it is. I rode it with my dad and he said that it is becoming unbearable. I don't think the Millennium Flyers helped much.
  14. I think a big new attraction is in order for 1984. Arrow Suspended possibly.
  15. Bizarro finishing off Great Adventure Online Day last night!
  16. Can we see pictures of the ride on this thread?
  17. I hope a wingrider can come here soon! Also an Action Zone expansion including a flat or two.
  18. I find it terrible. And Boulder Dash isn't bad at all.
  19. Cyclone at Six Flags New England is bad. I'm ok with Mean Streak. Wildcat at Hersheypark is really starting to become unbearable. But, Wildcat at Lake Compounce is the worst for me.
  20. You might be a coaster nerd if you are having trouble in math but one of the questions you easily get right involves a coaster.
  21. ^ Kreider was not leaving. And a good chance Stepan wasn't either.
