  1. Hi. It's been years since I've been on these forums, so I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but whatever. It's been almost 4 years since I last rode a coaster and I've gotten the itch to ride one again recently. I live in Northern NJ so Nickelodeon Universe is the easy choice for new credits, but I want to go a bit bigger this summer. I'm thinking of a trip that consists of Cedar Point and Kings Island. Kennywood might make an appearance as well. I've been to CP but that was a long time ago. Disaster Transport was still standing last time I was there. I just want to know if it's worth it, or am I wasting my money to ride an (maybe) overhyped RMC and a B&M Giga.
  2. Hi all. Back with a new update. It did take a little while to update considering the size of what I added. Sorry about that, this week has been really busy. This update will show a new area including a new coaster. I also added some small details to Big Thunder and Freedom Plaza. Some areas are still open, but those will be filled as the park grows. I made the picture's demensions 750x450 so hopefully it fits. Thanks for the feedback so far, hopefully this update gives more to comment on. Big Thunder detail 1 750x450.bmp We'll start with Big Thunder. Mostly because it's the quickest to get over with. I finished custom supporting this thing pretty quickly, thanks to the ride having the most simple layout of all-time. I also added security fencing, catwalks, and some plants to make the view of the launch better from the path. Big Thunder detail 2 750x450.bmp More small details. Trying to keep this ride/park as realistic as possible so picture like these will probably continue. Racer 750x450.bmp Onto the new coaster. Racer, a PTC Dueling Wooden coaster. At 122 feet tall, it is one of the tallest of it's kind. Unfortunately, the ride doesn't actually race. It would've been tough to build a realistic station with the way RCT3 allows a coaster to race. Racer and Boulevard 750x450.bmp Here's The Boulevard. A simple midway, just in a slightly different place compared to others. It has an information station and a bathroom for now. RCT3's path limitations make it really difficult to make stores and sit down restaurants, so that'll take some time and work to get done. Boulevard 750x450.bmp View of The Boulevard from the ground. Cannonball sneak peek 750x450.bmp View of Cannonball from Racer's entrance. You may notice something in the background. That will be addressed next update. Adventure World Overview 2 750x450.bmp A new overview of the park to this point. It's gonna be tough to keep doing these, especially with the low picture quality I can use or else the game will crash. Thanks for viewing, feedback is encouraged.
  3. Hi all. It's been about 5 years since I last logged into this account. My last private message was 2013 so that should give you an idea. Anyway, through those years RCT3, and roller coasters in general, got lost in the shuffle. Sports, class, parties, and the like took most of my time. Which happens to most college/high school aged kids. Now that I have more free time, I decided to make a comeback to RCT3. I wish I could do this on Planet Coaster but the game is virtually unplayable on my laptop. The parks I used to post on here were disasters. No other way to describe it. The updates were a joke, the parks were also jokes. I feel like I had to comeback and post a respectable park on here for once. Since it is my first park in a long time, I expect to be a bit rusty. Constructive criticism is welcomed and encouraged. With that, you'll see inspiration from real life parks. Mostly Cedar Point but other parks in there as well. I've worked on it for about a week and a half. A little short, I know, but with Dreamville dropping songs from the latest album early, it gave me a boost somehow. Not sure that even makes sense but whatever. I want to post updates fairly frequently, whenever there's enough of a new area to show. Sadly, my schedule can get a bit unpredictable so I can't make any promises. I know this was a bit long winded but I felt I needed to have a little comeback statement. I hope you like what you see. If not, tell me what I can fix. It has been a while so I expect some "growing pains". EDIT: Totally forgot about the demensions pictures need to be. They showed up as just black screens so I moved them down to 500x300 demensions. If someone can tell me the biggest they can be, it would be greatly appreciated. Adventure World - Entrance 500 by 300.bmp We'll start with an overview of the entrance plaza. It is small, but I need space for the amount of planned rides for this park. One building is hollow, that will change. I flew through this because I wanted the first update to be more than an entrance plaza. Picture 2 500 by 300.bmp A ground view with Cannonball (a PTC Woodie) in the background. Cannonball 500 by 300.bmp Here's a full shot of Cannonball's lift and first drop from the ground. I tried to take some inspiration from Yankee Cannonball at Canobie Lake. It's probably obvious but had to say it. Love this look of the ride for some reason. Big Thunder 500 by 300.bmp Ground view shot of Big Thunder. The tallest coaster in the world at 470 feet. Another coaster with obvious inspiration. I wanted to have a coaster to use as a centerpiece for the rest of the park, and a record-breaking Strata coaster fits that role well. Big Thunder queue and station 500x300.bmp Here's a view of the queue and station for Big Thunder. If you haven't figured out the inspiration for this thing yet, then I'm not sure what to tell you. Freedom Falls 500x300.bmp Here's Freedom Falls. A standard Shoot-the-Chutes ride you've seen at every Six Flags park. The name is there to fit the "Freedom Plaza" section of the park that the ride is located in. I personally hate both names so if anyone has better ideas please share. I'm bad with names. Adventure World Overview 1 500x300.bmp Finally, an overview of what I've done so far. This is really just a base. Almost everything in this picture will likely be changed somehow. I know about the lack of terrain, more will be added as the park grows. Please leave feedback. If there's something you don't like, tell me! I'm looking for ways to improve all the time!
  4. This looks awesome! I loved IOA when I visited. And this recreation really does the park justice. Awesome job!
  5. Hansa looks like a beautiful place. I really hope some American parks start to take notes from European parks.
  6. Call me crazy, but somewhere in NY. Maybe 25-30 minutes outside of NYC. I know Great Adventure is close but there are tons of tourists in NYC, as we all know. If you think about it, people would make a small trip to the park. SFGAd is about an hour and 15 minutes from NYC depending on traffic. Since I live 5 minutes from the George Washington Bridge, I kind of have some experience. That's just me. I personally think it would be successful.
  7. I really wish I knew. I visited Myrtle Beach a month after it closed for good. -.- But it seems like the Mine Train model is the only good coaster made by Vekoma! But I do like Great Nor'Easter and Sidewinder because of those new trains.
  8. I honestly can see Time Machine heading to Kentucky Kingdom. From what I heard, they're looking to build a coaster that's about 150 feet tall, which Time Machine is. Also, it would fit where Chang once stood. I'm not sure, but it seems like a great fit to me.
  9. Welcome to my work thread! I will be showcasing all of my RCT3 projects. The only exception would be a timeline park but I don't plan on making one for a while. Well, that's it enjoy the projects! Also, I didn't use the David Walsh cheat on the pictures. You are just going to have to deal with it for the first update. The 1st project I will be showcasing is Hillview Gardens Amusement Park. It is a HUGE WIP. I'm making this park in "sections". If that's what you want to call them. I'm pretty much creating a coaster, and basing an area off of the coaster. They will all be connected eventually. So far, I've created 3 coasters, so I have 3 areas. The first coaster is The Bat. A B&M Inverted coaster, inspired a little bit by Afterburn at Carowinds. The area is my personal favorite of the 3 so far. And, the layout is one of the best I've created, I personally think. So, I guess you can say I'm happy with it. The second coaster is Demon. Inspired by, obviously, the Demon coasters. It has the same kind of idea as the two in real life. Just a different layout, I'm also happy with this coaster. The area is a massive WIP as is the next coaster, an unnamed Schwarzkopf Shuttle Loop. So don't expect to much from these areas. Anyway, on to the pictures! Shot0044.bmp Here's the first drop of the Bat. The Alpengeist-like drop seemed quite appealing so I chose to use it on this. Shot0046.bmp Batwing element halfway through the ride, You get a great view from the path. Shot0047.bmp Here's another view of the first drop and loop. The queue house in the foreground. Another thing I'm very happy with. Shot0048.bmp Here's something I'm extremely happy with. The transfer track. I used Steelworx for this and I'm so proud of this. I think it's pretty realistic. Shot0049.bmp Here's a random building and a shop with a weird roof. It is temporary until I find another way to make it look decent. Shot0050.bmp Here's Black Widow. A Chance Revolution. Another WIP. Shot0051.bmp Here's the Shuttle Loop. Now, about that box sort of thing. I found something similar on a picture of Tidal Wave at CGA. I chose to recreate it since it's a Flywheel launch. Any suggestions on names? Shot0053.bmp Here's the Demon. This picture showcases the two consecutive loops. Shot0054.bmp A look at the consecutive corkscrews. As you can see, it's unfinished so far. Shot0056.bmp An overview sort of shot of the station. I'm pretty proud of this also. Shot0057.bmp Here's a look at the transfer track on the Demon. Well, thanks for reading! And stay tuned.
  10. Well, the good news is that each appears to be getting some cool new additions next year, so we're certain that crowd levels will be a bit more than usual. SFGAm has that new Goliath being installed and KI has Banshee. Do you have a favorite type of coaster that you prefer over others (i.e. Giga steel, inverted, flying, wooden, etc.)? I've always preferred wooden coasters actually. That's why I've been recently leaning toward SFGAm recently. But, the problem is the amount of time it takes to get there. I'm not 100% percent sure what you mean by the make up of my family. If this is what you mean, my dad or my mom will take my sister and I to the park. More likely my mom than my dad. I hope this is what you meant.
  11. The woodie looks really nice! I love that you aren't using custom scenery! Great park so far!
  12. I like this so far! I love how the Arrow Looper is over the water. Kinda reminds me of Loch Ness Monster. Great Work!
  13. I think V2 also but Stunt Fall at Warner Bros. Madrid was built in 2002. At the time, it was owned by Six Flags. So a Vekoma GIB isn't totally out of the question.
  14. Hi guys. I'm trying to convince my parents to take me and my sister to a new park next year. We only traveled to Hershey and SFA so far this year. I always want to visit a park that I've never visited before each year. I've narrowed down my list to 3 parks. Kings Island, Dollywood, or Six Flags Great America. SFGAm is kind of a long shot but with a lot of begging it might happen. Especially after the Goliath announcement. KI could be an option since we made the trip to Cedar Point a couple of years ago. That leaves, Dollywood. This is probably the best option because one of my mom's friends went there and she loved it. And I've heard that the Q-Bot is very cheap there. Now, the part I need help with. Which park has the best selection of rides? Which park has the most "reasonable" prices? Which park has the best food? Questions like that. Thanks in advance!
  15. I'm happy SFA is getting these rides. I agree with anyone that said SFa should be focused of family. It's the perfect size for it! I visited SFA in July and I liked the park. It could use some work but the park isn't bad at all. These rides are going to fit perfectly.
  16. Love the two family rides. Glad to see CP is adding Flying Scooters! I love these kind of rides! And I hope more and more Zamperla Disko rides are added in the USA. I personally think they're very overlooked.
  17. Hersheypark replacing all of their coasters with TOGO stand up coasters and Mean Streak clones. What's worse than Intimidator 305 being removed?
  18. I really like this! I love how you used the in-game park gates. It looks beautiful. But, there isn't enough foliage near the back of the park. Otherwise, I like the park!
  19. Neither. Both layouts are of real coasters. Personally, I think something like Ride of Steel at Darien Lake. Great park also!
  20. All pictures from RCDB. I've always Skyrush overlapping its self over the river looked awesome! Hydra's weird dive loop looks really cool also. Black Mamba is easily the nicest looking coaster in the world in my opinion.
  21. SFGAm adding a relocated Togo Death Machine in the place of Viper. What's worse than Kings Island teasing at a new coaster but it's really just a restaurant?
