I'd imagine this song would go well with an "Orion" video cinematic/POV... Andrew Rayel & Robbie Seed feat. That Girl - Stars Collide (Steve Brian Remix)

My tire had a slow leak, they plugged it, and I had found this coupon online on the official site, and it actually worked and they didn't hassle me! Didn't even pull out my wallet.* *Yes, even with the asterisk there and "fees may apply"

Somebody asked for advice on Facebook, and since my 2016 map is now outdated and thankfully another Rodeway Inn/crack house in Sandusky is no longer there, I created an updated "Choice Hotels" map. Choose wisely. Don't expect a 4 star hotel, or a good breakfast, but it's clean, some rooms are really strange (maybe just the suite?), and it's more then acceptable especially for the price. -

Gatekeeper is the outlier... It has small bins for things that fit in a pocket, like cell phones etc. but they will still stop you if you have anything like drink bottles, backpacks etc. at greeter. That being said, I've never seen them make you get out of line if you happen to get by greeter without them seeing it. I'm not saying to do that, I'm just saying that's what I have noticed since there's technically a little bit of room up there. So it *can* be a little complicated. End of the day, rules say nothing that can't fit in a pocket. A lot of people yell and get really nasty at the Gatekeeper greeter because they KNOW there are bins, but essentially not allowed to use them for larger items (or drink bottles... -- why do people still use those when you can't take them in some lines and there is a paper cup plan?) Dragster, Magnum, and others that are mentioned, on the other hand, if you get by greeter, they will make you get out of line to put your stuff in a locker since there is no room on the platform. The website states the rules for each coaster, and goes into a lot of detail... about glasses, what loose articles are considered, etc. so go there for the "official" rules. https://www.cedarpoint.com/help/ride-policies -
Looks very charming and you highlighted a lot of things I was not aware of. One of these days I'll get out there. Fun fact: I applied to be a ride manager back in the Morgan RV days of the park, didn't happen, but I was called and I ended up becoming a general manager at a seasonal RV park / campground in Maine owned by the same company. It sucked... upper management and operations was the worst I've seen. 10 out of 13 general managers in our region at the other parks quit mid season. The Glassdoor reviews are spot on. I quit after the summer was over. Shouldn't have waited that long. On the daily conference calls you would get updates from Indiana Beach and the managers. I'm glad I didn't get into that mess. Apex didn't seem all THAT much better, but that's just an outsider viewpoint for someone whose never been there other than knowing how they treated Fantasy Island (NY). Hopefully the park gets taken care of and it thrives moving forward.

Oh, gotcha, so he actually has not been on one yet. Makes more sense that way to have that opinion. I guess you can keep him. -

How can you hate a water coaster? Especially at Holiday World? Find a new husband? ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯ -
Great report, thanks for typing it up and glad you had a good time. This made me laugh way too hard... like something out of a sitcom. lol. Glad you got to experience Cinnamon Bread, etc. Good to know about the moonshine place, we were going to go but parking was a shitshow the day we drove by so we just gave up. I also had no interest in the other stuff on the "strip" when we went.

In disbelief that we went this long without hearing about it. Now let's never speak of it again. -

People are ranking Magnum ahead of Maverick? Y'all are drunk. Also, Steel Vengeance took about 3 or 4 rides until I started to really appreciate it, for the record. I still really dislike the finale, but damn it has some nice moves. -

Did the overtime laws change in Ohio for seasonal amusement venues this year? I'm guessing paying overtime still isn't a thing at the park... but besides the point (ha), I get what you're saying. Based on early reviews of the park on day #1 it sounds like a shitshow. Return passes (wannabe freeway) for the big 3 that were still open but still several hour waits with a return time. Yikes. bRiNg It BaCk!!!! -
I'm just going to leave this here.... it's REALLY LONG... but a work of art... if you are a fan Hamilton, at least hop around the video and listen to different songs/parts because it's absolutely ridiculous.... If you are *not* a fan of hamilton, maybe it will make you a fan.... lol.

For those that were wondering what was happening with Fantasy Island (NY) the past few weeks, here is a good summary: That have a loooonngg way to go, both financially and cleaning the place up. Also ignoring the fact that very few rides are even left. There have been a few articles out there, but this gets deep into it.... https://www.wnypapers.com/news/article/featured/2020/07/02/142201/efforts-underway-to-make-fantasy-island-beautiful-and-fun-again It's essentially a few old employees whose pipe dream is to open the park again. Personally I don't see it happening, but we shall see... best of luck to them.

Made to Thrill teamed up with Holiday World, which is really awesome because they don't make your typical merch. https://shop.madetothrill.com/ I could maybe see predetermined rafts keep the water dummies in them to allow the necessary weight for each raft and to help space people out. I don't know if straps to keep them in would get in the way of people's feet or not but you could probably place one in the back of Wildebeest and be ok? Curious if they will go that route or not. -
There are a couple on RCDB from the inside when it was at Great Escape. Just of the entrance etc. Nothing showing the ride with lights on. I think this link will bring up pictures of the ride in general at other parks... assuming all the Jetstar models match and they didn't make modifications. I have no clue. https://rcdb.com/r.htm?ot=2&mo=8198

As you may or may not know I'm a big fan of the jackbox party packs. DRAWFUL2 is free to download on a bunch of platforms right now. You can play over zoom/discord/etc. and only one person needs to own the game(s). https://www.jackboxgames.com/drawful-two/ Scroll down for all the platforms and (free) pricing, and you're welcome!
