  1. The Chiller uses cable to pull it's trains out if it valleys. It might not take a day, but it isn't as complicated as getting all that equipment out. But what happened that people would have to be taken to the hospital?
  2. Yeah, I'll have to say Dominator at Dorney Park. It gives you a good view if you sit on the side facing towards WWK. And that boom sound you hear when the Space Shot side reaches it's maximum height it cool too. I don't know if it's like that on any other S&S Space Shot ride, but it's cool.
  3. Yes. They're in a safe place, always close to me. (eww) Do you know where my little dog went?
  4. Don't know if it's been said, but over at GADV, they're saying that it's official that the Robin side of the Chiller will be down for the rest of the season. I hope his reliable source was wrong this time. But he didn't say anything about an accident. So, maybe his source was VERY wrong.
  5. No, never did!! Have you ever walked into a room for something, and forgot what you went in for?
  6. Yeah, it should tell you that the B&M's at SFMM hurt you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't know why people come up with B&M's being rough. I've yet to come across a significantly rough one. Those people take the oldest B&M's and say they're rough, when some/most rollercoasters get rough with time. Believe it or not, Intamin coasters can get rough too. Their coasters aren't impervious to time.
  7. ^ Yeah, that's what I thought. I'm just gonna keep watching this thread, I like to see people post ideas and other people telling them "No, we already know it WILL have...". And then all of them being proven wrong at it's announcement!!
  8. So wouldn't Colossus have heartline twists? From the photo link posted earlier, it looks like the spin would be through an imaginary line through your heart, by the looks of it.
  9. There have been other full track twists. I don't know the difference between Incline twists and heartline twists, they feel the same to me, but Storm Runner has a box track twist. http://rcofw.free.fr/photo/228/big/1.jpg But since the track on-site is twisted like that, it does look like it could have a triangle track twist.
  10. Your point is a valid one, but despite how much it may cost, who's saying that they wouldn't do it? You have to keep everything in check. It may cost a lot, but is completely possible. Since none of us know exactly what's going on, I'm not convincing myself of much of anything, exept that CP is getting a new coaster, and Intamin track is present. Actually, the possibility of a B&M seems very good to me about now.
  11. Garfield and Odie!! I don't know why, but I watched Garfield: The Movie a little while ago, and have had sudden cravings for Garfield and lasagna...lol!!
  12. ^Please don't mind me asking, but what exactly did they do to KK to "ruin" it?
  13. There's a huge arch in the photo...can't miss it, that's the Skycoaster.
  14. Wow, I'll just assume that i'm going to be the only one who thinks waffles would be a good permanent change, provided there is one. HAHAHA!!!!
  15. Well techinically no. Because Scenic railways are wooden and they use cable lifts. At least IMO. Yeah, I totally forgot about them! Oh, and it can't be an opinion if it's a proven fact. Did somebody say that they saw El Toro testing, or did I dream that? By reading the board, it seems I was... Looks like a cable to me!
  16. I think we are mentioning some rides that aren't fair to include: Impulse Coasters. There isn't much they can do as of now, back and forth through the station up a spike on either side. Stratocoasters: There aren't many ways to get a train 400+ feet in the air, and Intamin found a good way to do it, leave them alone. Any terrained coaster: It's not fair to look at a terrain designed coaster and say "that's different". Unless there is somewhere else in the world that has the EXACT same terrain, chances are, it won't have the same layout. I still don't see why people have such a problem with it.
  17. I didn't tell him he couldn't talk about it, I asked when it came into the conversation. Hah. So there. I still think that it doesn't belong here, but I can't control what the people say. Yes, lets.
  18. Yeah, you just named some of the MOST INSANELY intense rides, most people here would TOTALLY agree in that, but they're only good for their theming. Way to go. Actually, there ARE some B&M things that make me wonder, like their 'incline elements'. And Intamin "wins"? Is there some competition that's going on? Chances are, you haven't ridden one or more of the coasters you've just listed, and just talking out of the mouth of the people. And when did Intamin come into the conversation? I thought the thread was about B&M's 'repeated layouts', not an "Intamin's better than B&M" thread... (Somebody has to keep the Intamin enthusiasts at bay)
  19. ^ You must not know B&M's reputation. B&M has been widely known for their smooth and intense rides. Emphasis on SMOOTH. Intamin is popular for reasons I can't say for myself, because I haven't been on many Intamin rides at this point. Hulk is one of A FEW "rough" B&M's, it's not fair to totally assume that B&M just makes rough rides based on a few bad apples. It's like saying that all Intamin coasters will throw you out of your seat to your death. I hope this doesn't come across as an attack, I don't mean for it to be, but I was a little bugged by this statement. As for B&M layouts, I don't have any complaints. Some may have similar layouts, but each coaster has it's own personality, despite it's layout. I don't think anybody's mentioned the Batman clones, but they only have 3 different inversions, two of which are repeated, and none of them are cobra rolls, immelmans, batwings whatever else I've forgotten. And on Dueling Dragons, the first inversion on one is a sidewinder, and on the other is a zero-g roll, and the loops are basically in the middle if the ride. So anything's possible.
  20. Wow, people are still talking about a park not having space... We wouldn't know what they would do to fit in a new coaster. They could remove some flats or move some things around to make space. There are some creative designers that can make a ride through other rides and scenery. I doubt they would get another hypercoaster. But I don't think that they'd even start thinking too much on a new coaster when they have more important things to handle in the meantime.
  21. Wow, OTSR's on a woodie?? I don't think we'll be seeing that too often, if at all!
  22. I'm a Leo, but I'm like the opposite of most of what that descrition says ...lol. Leo : Leo is ambitious, a lover of limelight, speculative, extroverted, optimistic, honorable, dignified, confident, proud, exuberant, sunny, flamboyant, charismatic, dramatic, competitive, a leader and an organizer.
  23. If you read through the thread, past the part where people are saying that it won't be good judging by an incomplete structure, you'll see that some people are saying that the restraints are bad before we even knew what they were, and in the post above, that the wings make it a "death trap". I think we should wait until it opens before we make any long term judgements, but that's just me.
