  1. You have a Hershey Park trip report I can read? That park is close to the top of my park wishlist, but for some reason the people I'm going on my coaster trip with this year aren't up for any of the other PA parks outside of Knoebels (which I'm okay with, Phoenix is the bees knees) This report was fantastic all around!
  2. If I had dollar for every time I've heard a TPR member say this I'd be... pretty broke actually. The euphoria I felt, definitely among the best 3 minutes of my life.
  3. ^ I get it. Remember that first time well.
  4. Not in my mind. The coaster discrepancy is too great. Maverick, Dragster, and Millennium are all better than the best coaster at Kings Island. Still won't pass up many trips to Kings Island, it is also a great park.
  5. How long does a conversion take? I recall The New Texas Giant taking 18 months, but that was early on for RMC. With that time frame, 2018 would make a lot of sense. Also, I hope they spend a lot of time looking at Wildfire. That looks like the greatest coaster ever made.
  6. I blame Cedar Point itself, putting all those markings over a coaster they know we dislike with a passion.
  7. Looks a lot like Prowler at Worlds of Fun. Since most people i know would rank that over Beast (and Golden Ticket Awards rates it over Diamondback), looks like a great fit and is a much better investment than a giga coaster in my opinion. Also, I find it funny that Prowler is themed to a panther, and KI used a gif of a kitten for one of their teasers. Looks like Prowler is getting a sister coaster. Prowler better than the Beast? No. imo. And I'm definitely okay with a new wooden coaster at KI. But there is nothing wrong with a giga coaster. A B&M giga at any park would be king...Especially at KI. Everyone I've talked to that's ridden both says Prowler is better. But let's not get stuck on this issue. Both rides are incredible and are for different people. Personally, I'm excited that CF is still investing in wooden roller coasters while other chains start to remove/convert their current woodies. I preferred Prowler but he three people I traveled with all prefer Beast. Two even ranked Beast over Phoenix, which I thought was absolutely crazy. I only got on Beast during the day, so I missed the legendary night ride at closing. The park having both would be awesome, though.
  8. Cedar Point needs capacity more than most. I can't imagine them only running two trains.
  9. Favorite Steel Coaster - I-305. Fast, relentless. Maverick is about equal in my mind, though. It's a tough call. Favorite Wooden Coaster - Phoenix. I might ride this and only this next time I visit Knoebels. My favorite roller coaster, because prior to it, the best wooden roller coaster I had ever ridden was Renegade. This was on another level entirely. Since then, I've ridden some good wooden roller coasters, but nothing that even remotely compares (including The Beast)
  10. 6'1 here, and I thought Green Lantern was a lot of fun. Love the intensity.
  11. CAD. We bought our platinum passes there rather than at Cedar point to save the exchange rate. Sent from my SM-G935W8 using Tapatalk I'm heading to Cedar Point prior to Canada's Wonderland. Will I save money if I bought the pass online for CW, and would I be able to process said pass at Cedar Point or another Cedar Fair park?
  12. ^ I think setting up a trip 3 months after the ride is supposed to open, and being a little miffed that it still isn't open during that trip is more than justified. It doesn't matter if he's a typical Dollywood guest or not, everything he said in regards to the ride and others is accurate. I'm just thankful I decided to switch up my plans for the summer, or I'd be in the same boat he is. In the long run Dollywood will be fine. Short term, I can't imagine anyone is happy (RMC, Dollywood, or guests)
  13. Six Flags Gurnee. Followed shortly by Cedar Point, Knoebels, and Canada's Wonderland. Great America & Canadas Wonderland are new parks for me.
  14. ^^ I won't be making my first trip to Canada's Wonderland until July, but I think a Wingrider is exactly what the Dr. ordered. Need more high capacity coasters at a park that gets so many visitors! They could definitely make something better than GateKeeper, which would be an amazing addition to the park.
  15. I see a "18" underneath. I can't imagine it happens in 2017. Massive water park upgrade and maybe a flat ride is more likely next year. They want to encourage more multi-day stays for them resort guests.
  16. Not to call the kid out, but I want a list of the coasters he's ridden. Since this magical #100 means so much to him.
  17. I don't think any park needs a roller coaster that will never open.
  18. Don't do it!!! Don't fall into the trap of believing Dolly. She has a way to magically charm you with her giant. . . "lollipops." She'll make you believe anything. . . #ItllNeverOpen Lollipops??
  19. The new restraints make that big of a difference, huh? That's disappointing. They could have had higher capacity with the other restraints, and a better ride.
  20. Attention campers, lunch has been cancelled due to lack of hustle.. deal with it. Valravn sounds like it's getting rav(e) reviews early on. This pleases me.
  21. I bet it does. I'll try shotgunning a few Red Bulls next time I'm in line for Gatekeeper so that I'm not in SWS/Stage-3 sleep by the time we reach the big hill. The first drop is awesome... As for that description of the airtime hill, so many conflicting emotions in one sentence.
  22. How about the airtime hill? In comparison to the GateKeeper one?
  23. ^ red flags abound in that post.
  24. I gotta agree with the other guy, as much as I liked the B&M, Volcano was much better. If for nothing else, the uniqueness factor.
