  1. Popeyes Chicken?! I've never had Chik-Fil-A but I love me some Popeyes. Always get it when traveling south. Make it happen, Matt!
  2. Every new coaster, this is the first thing people bring up, at least since Maverick. Little did we know, at the time, that Maverick would turn out to be the best coaster in the park.
  3. You had an extra pair of gloves this whole time? yeah.. we're in the Rockies.
  4. They always work on Saturday, and take Sunday off, barring inclement weather.
  5. Does the pullout on the drop look less gradual on Valravn than on the old dive coasters, or am I seeing things? Or maybe it's the longer drop giving me the impression.
  6. Yes. I'm thankful for the updates. Thanks guys! It will be fun revisiting the updates after Valravn has long since been completed.
  7. You don't know what the park is or isn't getting anymore than the rest of us. Not saying you're wrong, you're probably not wrong... I hope you are, but if not, it's not that difficult to make a trip to a better park or two.
  8. I loved that coaster! I'd also prefer a custom RMC to an invert. Not that inverts aren't great, but they are darn near everywhere. Hopefully whatever Valleyfair gets, it's a coaster.
  9. Has Blue Streak always had those lights? I (sadly) have completely avoided Blue Streak for the last 5-6 trips to the Point, and honestly have no idea.
  10. This park is ridiculous. I'd travel 2000 miles just to ride the Intamin and B&M goodies at the park. Add in the rest, and you have a high capacity juggernaut. Maverick Dragster Millennium Wicked Twister GateKeeper Valravn Raptor Rougauru
  11. Cedar Point and the city of Sandusky will build a 20 million dollar Sports Park?! New, more impressively shaded areas to wait and use WiFi?! These ideas are fantastic.
  12. Definitely. It's the third tallest coaster in the park. Can't wait to see it while driving down the peninsula. Everyone seems to like the other dive coasters, and this is a slightly taller, longer, and faster version of those at Busch Gardens. Of course it's going to be a very good ride, probably the best B&M in the park!
  13. I was actually wondering this myself. Ever done pull-ups? Ever done them with the help of one of those pull-up machines? The weight on the machine, allows you to pull yourself up more times with less strain on the body. It's a counter weight on a much smaller scale. Less strain on something as heavy as Valravn probably saves them a ton in maintenance cost.
  14. I have Raptor ranked fifth in the park. It will likely drop to sixth after the debut of Valravn. 1.) Maverick 2.) Dragster 3.) Millennium Force 4.) GateKeeper 5.) Raptor Raptor isn't anything special, but it's a good ride. Now it's a good looking ride as well.
  15. I think GateKeeper was probably the right move, but I would have loved to see that 300 footer Kinzel was going to build in the back of the park. Raptor looks great, love the lightsaber lights just in time for Star Wars.
  16. Gotta disagree with a vast majority of you, I liked Green Lantern. A bit uncomfortable, but a completely unique and out of control experience for me. I'm sure this ride is going to be far better, and I hope to hit up this park and Dollywood for the first time next season. Hopefully I find El Toro to be even better than my beloved Phoenix.
  17. I absolutely agree. Top Thrill Dragster is a marquee addition, and the new paint really pops, especially the white.
  18. 1. Maverick 2. Top Thrill Dragster 3. Millennium Force (Assumption - Valravn) 4. Gatekeeper 5. Raptor 6. Wicked Twister 7. Magnum XL 200 8. Rougarou 9. Gemini 10. Blue Streak 11. Iron Dragon 12. Corkscrew 13. Cedar Creek Mine Ride 14. Mean Streak
  19. I'll watch optimistically from afar... like from Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
  20. This has nothing to do with all that, but how has a 16 year old been on so many great coasters?! I'm jealous!
  21. Valleyfair is my home park, and I have only visit the park once in the last two years. That was to process my Platinum pass, and get a ride or two on Renegade. I won't be going back until they add a new roller coaster. I tend to go to Cedar Point for at least two or three days most years, though, so Cedar Fair still gets my money.
  22. I need to get out to this park. The most exciting note in the last video, and article, is that they are "saving the best for last". That means they are planning on building a coaster that they think is going to be better than this one?! That's going to be something special, as this coaster looks like one of the best in the world.
  23. Yes, but for an added fee, there's a fast lane system in place for the impatient or out of town children to get their candy faster.
