  1. That required very few resources to do such things. ^Completely agree that this was the last thing they wanted to do. Maybe management wanted the ride to hold out as Giraffica for another year or two, but decided that 2013 was the final straw.
  2. Highly reccomend you use this before you reveal your next update. Google it. Web link didn't work when I tried to post it.
  3. ^ Crews are still getting used to their job. Give it a few weeks and stacking will hopefully not happen near as much. Is Drop Tower still down? I hope nothing serious is wrong with the ride.
  4. They are redundant accessories that serve literally no other purpose on this coaster than extra security. I'm not necessarily upset of the extra time it takes to dispatch as I am flustered with why they needed to do them. But, I'm sure the park didn't want them so insurance companies are probably involved.
  5. While the 2012 drought was no where near as severe as your guys' droughts, it was still pretty bad for the Midwest area. We went several hot weeks (highs of 95 deg.+) without any precipitation of any kind. They actually had to shut down Pilgrims Plunge for a few weeks to reduce the amount of water HW used. The boot of Southern Indiana managed to slip in there.
  6. ^What are you talking about when you mean height restriction? Like the height restriction for Pilgrims Plunge (which was 48")? Or are you talking about an area height restriction? Because as far as I know there isn't one.
  7. That guy sounds so arrogant saying, "so what if you have to wait a little bit?" How douchey of him to say stupid crap like this. These literally makes me have no hope for the PC version this fall. Plus, only using the words "multiplayer and social features" (WHICH ARE TWO THIHGS THAT SHOULD NOT BE IN AN RCT GAME IMO) already makes the game sound unappealing. As stated above, RIP RCT. Also, he refused to say if the PC version would have microtransactions. Wow.
  8. In honor of the recent opening of a fantastic invert...
  9. Well, I can't say I was surprised by this move. Hopefully the replacement ends up not being a water ride/slide. Here's my two cents/rant about this ride: The ride always felt like an awkward addition IMO in Holiday World's line up. Not only is it the first thing you see coming down on 162. Its sheer size was intimidating to the family friendly audience. Not only that, but even if it was being catered to the more "extreme" (using this term lightly in HW's case), the actual experience itself was a letdown. The concrete trough beginning with absolutely no scenery or landscaping was pretty boring to start off with (it could have used water geysers like the ones at the end, faux rocks, flowers, or ANYTHING). Then, we the actual elevator, which was what made the ride unique and special even after DiVertical. It was nerve-racking the first time you got on it, although after a few rides, it turned into a meh experience. The drop was alright, though it was very gradual so it just slowly gained speed. Finally, the splash. As stated above, the splash was originally announced to be 45 feet high and 90 feet wide. In reality, it just skidded across the water until it abruptly sank lower to actually slow down the ride. If you weren't in the front row, there was a good chance you could have hit the back of the seat in front of you. And the resulting splash was not as wet as people would have wanted if it were a particularly hot summer day. After the splashdown, the ride maneuvers in a typical shoot-the-chutes manner and features and couple water geysers to get you wet. Overall, the experience was just not what I wished it could have been. The elevator was a novelty, but the rest of the ride was disappointing. I know I'm a snobby coaster enthusiasts, but understand that a few people loved this ride. I have ridden this ride every season despite the frequent downtime and it never grew on me. As for the replacement, I am really wanting the park to revert this area back to Thanksgiving instead of yet another water slide. I am also really hoping the park sticks to a new family coaster that is much more intense that the Howler, but is about on par with the intensity Raven. Since the park is removing an Intamin, I see it doubtful for an Intamin mega-lite to see the light of day here. However, a Mack mega-lite like The Storm seems like a great alternative to Intamin. But it really is up in the air on what will happen in the near future. If I recall from an article or video a while ago, the park mentioned something about capitalizing and shifting main focus back to Holiday World. I am very excited about what is in store!
  10. The Banshee looks like it's hauling in your video! I'm glad that this ride is comparable to older B&M inverts. I'm also surprised at how many people said it's even better than Raptor!
  11. But it seems more of them seem to live in Florida than anywhere else.... What is it with your state I literally just read that a Floridian topless woman was assaulting people McDonalds because a worker wouldn't have sex with her... Not all of America's nutjobs live in Florida, but there certainly is a substantial amount in the South. I also have to wonder if object sexuality is more of a mental condition than a classification of romance or actual sexuality...
  12. What if Larson built 200+ towers? I wonder if they would be as insane as the smaller counterparts...
  13. Anyone who is disappointed was probably expecting a world's first coaster or is just a negative nancy that hates everything in life. However, if this coaster were installed in America, would you be as disappointed? Yes, this coaster is a mixture of Outlaw Run and Goliath (as well as the other RMCs) but it LONG for RMC and that's what I would be most excited for. Plus, Sweden provides great terrain to work with. So, as a result, you get a wonderful layout as displayed above. As a frugal college student, I can sadly only experience this coaster from its Youtube POV. However, I'm sure the people on that trip will certainly have fun!
  14. Sounds like a credit to me. Anybody have a picture of this?
  15. So are you admitting that you made that picture up just to get people talking or what? I know that you put out a fake Carowinds map cover a while back that was clearly made in Paint. At least say it's not real if you were the one who made that. On another note, I definitely agree that the entrance looks really good!
  16. You are the other user that I frequently like to keep updated on since your park is nicely detailed. My only complaint is the name of the park. Hoping for a name change or a buyout of the park or something! Keep up the good work!
  17. Yes, they are going to have French's Mustard train wraps on Banshee this season... That webpage has always been there and as far as I know, the way they are advertising these products hasn't changed.
  18. ^ (This is a little off-topic) While browsing through their website, I noticed a statement in Adventureland's thrill ride web link that seems familiar: Hmmm, sounds an awful lot like what Six Flags has in their thrill ride sections: Just an interesting find I wanted to share.
  19. It irritates the heck out if me that less superior parks on this forum are getting more attention than this thread. Your park is one of the best I've seen in a long time. Please continue making updates with it.
  20. ^^ I absolutely love that wrought iron entrance sign. It reminds me a lot of the Raven's!
  21. ^ Simply renaming Drop Tower (Invertigo and Delirium could technically fit in) would be enough to change the name to a spooky theme.
  22. I approve of this project as it looks like it will be great. It would be awesome if you recreated the stations too
  23. Jurassic Park. I consider the two books absolute perfection and the movies were fantastic. Granted the third one was not on par with the other two (most likely because it was not based on a book), I still love the series to death. I'm so pumped for Jurassic World, as it had better live up to the high expectations I'm placing upon it!
