  1. ^ I'm definitely not drawing any conclusions, but the whole Timberliner "fiasco" makes me think that Holiday World may have an easier time severing nearly ties with the Gravity Group. That's also not saying that Holiday World and GG won't "keep in touch" for maintainence or any other issues.
  2. Oh my god. I'm going to need to change my underwear if I can make it through Outlast. Luckily this game was free, because horror games are far from my favorite genre.
  3. While I whole heartedly agree with this, I think CP would not benefit as much as Universal does form Citywalk since the weather would not allow and/or draw people to want to drive up to Sandusky in 20 or less degree weather. However, if it was like Main Street with the covering (or possibly enclosed completely like a mall of some sorts), that would be a possibility. I also agree that Soak City and Challenge Park are better off being razed. CP would benefit more from park expansion. However, I do not want them getting rid of the "secret" parking lot located directly next to Gemini. It's always never filled completely when I'm there as many people believe it's employee parking.
  4. I'm very impressed with that Walrus themed Supersplash. Talk about impressive!
  5. What? What happened? Which coaster is that? Dragon Challenge. They no longer duel thanks to idiots that leave loose stuff in pockets.
  6. ^ It's only Monday, and they said "next week." So give it some time.
  7. ^ To be fair, Math and Science Week's crowds are comparable to a moderate day at CP. Fast Lane is suggested on at least one of your days. Also, in America, Labor Day weekend is the unofficial last day of summer, so there is a huge rush to theme parks at that time.
  8. I sure as hell hope this name is just a stupid rumor followed by some dumb fanboy-created website. I name like "Touchdown" would not be much of an improvement from Flight Deck IMO. If they end up changing the name for the 49ers, at least come up with a better name than that. On the other hand, the red sure does look good on Flight Deck!
  9. Its a thing called snow It's a thing called sarcasm and you just missed it...
  10. ^ Ok, regardless of topography or landscape, it's just not a sufficient location for an attraction at all. It'd be awkwardly shoehorned behind the dive show. I'd say remove or relocate Scarecrow Scrambler and demolish part of the games building (or all of it) to make room for a walk-through attraction or a medium-sized Halloween dark ride.
  11. Hmm--I don't know. Seems to me there's plenty of room on the other side or Raven (where the access road runs to the lake). Where there's a will, there's a way. This is the space you are referring to: While the image was taken in 2005, nothing has changed (other than the new diving show seating) It's not as large as it looks, but if they really wanted to, they could fit a dark ride building there. But, like I said earlier, this land is not flat and the building would either require major landscaping or being built with a (ugly) concrete foundation that will stick out. This picture is also about where you are talking about
  12. ^ Unless they remove an attraction, there is simply no room for a dark ride in Halloween. Plus, the topography wouldn't really support a large building for a dark ride.
  13. Yeah, I also would not consider a Euorfighter legendary. Don't get me wrong, some are great rides, but not many (if any) really shine as amazing.
  14. Yeah you can pretty much expect average theme park prices at SDC, though in some cases, you get what you pay for (yes I'm talking about that famous Cinnamon Bread). I've been to quite a few amusement parks (although nothing to boast about compared to many other users here) and I still haven't found a park that competes with Holiday World's reasonable food prices. Granted the food is nothing too special, you still aren't shelling out $10+ dollars for just a cheeseburger sans fries and no drink. Hopefully Silver Dollar City will hop aboard the free drinks train one day!
  15. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]This video is from the news and is a rundown of all of 2014's improvements. It almost makes it sound like it will be the restaurant will be full service from how they are describing it.
  16. ^ If you are subscribed to PS+, you would be getting a new game every month. Next month Outlast is going to be free! I'm not really sure about Xbox's free game program, but I've heard that those games are not very good.
  17. I understand that this says no home parks, and CP + KI are not home parks. I just visit them every year. 2006: Expedition Everest 2007: Maverick, Firehawk (a bit of a stretch) 2009: Diamondback 2010: Shoot the Crapids (yes I spelt it how it should be named) 2011: Windseeker-KI and CP 2012: Manta-San Diego 2013: Gatekeeper 2014: Soon to be Banshee, Soon to be Lightning Run
  18. I'm not really sure what the point was of locking the vests in the first place when B&M was designing the restraints. It's not like Gatekeeper is now unsafe now that the vests don't tighten anymore. They probably thought of it as a safety precaution or something...
  19. I'm very glad they chose a color that will blend well with the scenery rather than a gaudy, clashing scheme.
  20. What'd do you expect? It's just like any other park on a Saturday. Prices for Fast Lane are probably going to be about the same as last year ($50+). FL+ will probably drop Beast and replace it with the Banshee.
  21. ^^ Lines are typically no longer than 1 1/2 to 2 hours on major stuff (Firehawk is the longest line you'll wait for, which is a very slow moving line). That being said, Banshee will surely rake in more people.
  22. Thanks for the stuff! My cat and I will enjoy the POVs very much!
  23. D'oh! I meant flanges! Sorry about that!
