Photo TR: It Came From Wes's Closet

^ Oh come on. There must be a cave painting you can direct us too. -
MetLife pulled the plug on sponsorship. That typically seals the end of a pavillion's life. Quite honetly, I never thought highly of Wonders of Life. I think I went in once or twice. That is actually where the original "Coming Soon - Equatorial Africa" sign once stood. That's why I implied Disney was 1/2 of 3 right in their coming soon revelations. So Africa is somewhat "represented" with that silly little food kiosk, but not like it was supposed to be. Isreal was also somewhere in that same general area. Figment is an amalgamation of all the things you create in your head. That's probably the worst way to describe him. The original ride (which I have a video of in the Pro Amateur Forum OR click my www button), explained where he came from. The original ride literally made you go through different portions of your creative genesis. For whatever reason, Eisner and the Kodak CEO did not get along really well, for version 2. Basically, the ride sucked, was Figment free, and got horrible fan response. They reinstituted Figment ASAP, but did a half assed job and you get what you see now. Imagineer's gave the FIgment fanboys a big middle finger with the Figment F U room at the end.

This is awesome Wes. I love this old crap. I found so much awesomely good crap in my parent's basement yesterday, I almost blew a load. I never saved paint chunks though. That's a whole new level. -
Happy Birthday, Kristen! AKA KidTums!

It feels like yesterday that the phone calls and text messages were flying everywhere. Happy Birthday KT! -
A while back Scott (Beemerboy) and I started batting around the idea for a retro EPCOT thread. Something we could both post all of our random items, PTR's etc., involving EPCOT. Well it starts today. For those of you in the "un-know," I have an serious affliction. It's called fanboyism, and it's for EPCOT. And not Epcot, but EPCOT Center. Yes, I'm an old coot that was around when it first opened it's doors. When it was awesomer than it is awesome now. When Figment was relevant, and they didn't stick him in a ride because the over the top fanboys pissed Disney off so much that they had to bring him back. My first trip to EPCOT Center was in the first week of November of 1982. Four weeks after it opened, and during my families annual trip to Disney World. For months I sat glued in front of the TV watching shows on EPCOT's construction, and the immense planning that was going into Disney's second gate. I was mesmorized, and that first trip would not only make me have joygasms over that park, but no matter what, I still get goosebumps when I see Spaceship Earth. First up in my collection of EPCOT Center stuff, is the first Pictorial Souvenir book. It's not too exciting unless you like conceptual art, as there isn't a photo in the book from the actual park. Some of these you'll see on other fan sites, some I don't think I've ever seen anywhere else. I'll post a retro PTR in a few days, of the same trip where we purchased this book, and you can see me in knee high tube socks. Enjoy!

Sometimes... man.. I just read your posts and wonder about you... just some times.... It's a perfectly legitimate statement. If you make a bold statement that your footage if "broadcast quality" Joey's got the right motive for posting that.

^ It's not a ride, it's a show. They can change the "whodunit" quite often. -

Then you were doing it wrong. -
I wouldn't lump anything into "as good to be broadcast on TV." They've been known to play same large heeps of poo. I'm in the market for a new camera myself. I know Robb uses tape, so that's what I've been focused on.

You must be delusional if you think that all judges have common sense. I spent too many years defending cases because of moronic judges. -
As per the Sentinel: They Gone. Glad to see there are at least a few judges with common sense still out there. I'm so proud to hail from Illinois.

How can you even say this until you know what happens. Seriously, the nay-saying is getting ridiculous. -
What the heck is going on here? I can't believe there hasn't been some sort of creepy post oogling these ladies. Are you guys losing your touch?
