Photo TR: Chuck's Long California Weekend

I can't believe you gave them a can of Chicken Corn Chowder. I'm soooooo disappointed in you. Maybe a can of Italian Wedding, but Chicken Corn Chowder?! The shame of it, Chuck.....the shame..... -

^ So your family may be the exception of the rule. Seriously, how many people that are at MOA are there for a park filled with thrill-ish rides? The longest lines are typically for the kiddie rides. I'm not saying that thrill rides are a bad edition, I just think that they might be shooting for a demographic that may not be already inserted into the premises. -

That camera angle is pretty horrid. It's almost to the rafters, as Avatar's paint starts to turn orange when it gets to that height. If it's half as good as IB's, it'll be a nice addition. I am a bit concerned, along with the crappyish theming going in, that they're adding too many thrill rides. I thought this park was geared more for families, since that's whose going to be hanging out at the mall anyway. -
I'm just impressed someone remembers the Jets. Matt "Still has that tape laying around somewhere" Jacobs

^ For all we know, he could of had a heart attack, and the rumored drugs had nothing to do with it. Then we could blame Disney.

Just an update, Rich, he didn't have sleeping pills in hand. He had anti-anxiety pills opened in the room. I'm sure it was an accidental overdose, and a sad one at that, as I like Heath as an actor. I'm saddened by the loss, but it doesn't effect my life one way or another.

The "old" West Coast Bash 2008 Thread!
mcjaco replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm going to try my best to get there. After the SFMM/DVD release party, you'd have to be stupid to not try and make it. -
Where's the Thompson Twins reunion? Or El Debarge? Or the Jets? C'mon, I need some eighties reunion tours!

I actually do take pictures, I typically don't post them. Really, what's the point of posting me drinking the same beers over and over and over and over. I'm trying to post when there's something worth posting. There just hasn't been lately.

Most of those shots were taken in full sunlight, which is rare. I've been to MOA a dozen times in the past three years and never been there when it's sunny. Your gloomy argument doesn't hold water here. I said the same thing back when I did my PTR in November. It's completely lost it's northwoods charm. The rides may be better, but the character is gone. -
What is the name of the song in the station for X?

^ No, it's the dance version of "Penny Lover." -

^ I believe it would make this soooooooo much better. -
Isn't that supposed to happen? You take care of the weak teams, and work hard to get wins against the better teams. It's exactly why the Patriots are a good team. They took care of business when they needed to, and won. Even if it was ugly.

^ Interesting on the Dark Lord, as I've heard it one the most over-rated brews out there. Should you guys want more New Glarus Raspberry Tart, let me know. I'll be headed to WI in a couple fo weeks for a run myself. If you like that, their Belgium Red is just as good if not better. Yesterday I was invited to a beer tasting by the local liquor store's beer buyer. It's a small group of ten to twelve people, three of them are home-brewers (one has worked for Moylans, among others), and the brewmaster for my favorite local spot, Mickey Finn's. It's a monthly gathering so, I'll have to take some pictures next time. I didn't want to scare them my first visit. We did a vertical on Bell's Wheat Ale experiment, with trying 2,4,6,8 and Love. Love won out as the best of the five, with 2 following up. Some great stuff, and some great people to network with.

How many people were at that photo/video shoot? 15? 20? More? And yet there's only three or four people that were there that day that continue (day after day after day after day) to proclaim the Bullet's greatness. I'd say that's a minority. It's one thing to be a fanboy, it's another to beat a topic into the ground. There are far better and worse coasters that have gotten much less attention than this one.

Negative Maverick, the pattern is full. -
I really enjoyed Corsendonk's Christmas Ale. Probably because it was a Belgian not trying to be overly spicy like all the other holiday brews. I agree with Bubba on Lagunita's Cappacino Stout, after Brown Sugga, it's my favorite of theirs. And I'm not a huge fan of them.

But Matt loves Lou more. I have a Steak & Shake milkshake to prove it.

Much better. I owe you a Vault Icee.
