  1. I used to think I'd like the LA area. That was until I had a class in Santa Monica for two weeks for business. Good lord, two weeks was all it took for me to pretty much never want to return. Although my hotel was across the street from the mall in The 40 Year Old Virgin, so that movie has a special place in my heart.
  2. Hey bubba. I've got some pics to post, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Too much going on. The other issue is that I added up my beer expenses over the last year, and I was appalled. I bought over $2000. Now for some of you, I know that's a drop in the bucket, but I was not real excited about that number. We've since slowed way down on our consumption, and purchasing, so updates from me will be few and far between.
  3. HUH? Locked. Consider this a warning.
  4. This not how we do park updates at TPR. Please keep all updates to one thread. I'm merging this with your previous thread, which was literally seven threads down on the first page.
  5. Personally, I'd like to see a whole new 2009 thread. A little competition with yourself would be interesting. I'm also giggling over the thought of Mike having discussions with himself, as he pretends to be PR, Big Mike, etc.
  6. Don't worry about painting the trains. Finish the track.
  7. ^ It's inevitable Jack. I think the purist sees these highly scaled models, and expects to see true to life coaster layouts, with "scale" speeds, etc. Whereas the business side of it really needs to appeal to a much wider audience, that will make it profitable. Let's be honest, the general public is not going to notice or care if it's an actual track layout. They just want to put it together and watch it go. And that's a good thing, it can bring more people into the hobby, and perhaps more people to your table to buy additional kits. As for the K'nex stuff, I've always been impressed with what people come up with, but it's toyishness turns me off. Then again, I'm a scale modeler, so I kind of expect a higher quality of modeling. Either way, if you ahd told me ten to fifteen years ago that we'd have scale models of coasters, I would of told you "yeah right." Matt "who had the marbles on tracks" Jacobs
  8. ^ Please stop bumping your threads after each reply.
  9. AH. Gracias. The work block won't let me view it. Jarmor, I'm pretty sure the layout of this particular model has been debated before, with Jack explaining the reasonings behind it's design.
  10. Jack, Can you post a little info on what the video is???
  11. That's the whole point of the search function. To find stuff. This NL track file obviously struck a chord with solowingdemon, and he posted about it. I don't get the pissy-ness of it being brought back up from the dead. Had you not responded, it'd already be halfway down the page and forgotten. The best way to let a thread die, is to leave it alone. Matt "Not Lockin' it" Jacobs
  12. I'd just like Love Story by Taylor Swift out of my head. She can stay, the song needs to go.
  13. I'd suggest a little back story on the park. Just posting pictures is kind of blah, and you won't get much feedback.
  14. This is a typical arguement in most general liability/premises liability cases. It's the most simple of complaints to file, so it's always in there. Defense will argue that there was no notice of said defect, as this is likely the first such incident occuring with the said bench, which is why the claim was probably denied. As long as Magic Springs was showing reasonable care there really isn't much of a case (IMO). Now if maintenance records show this bench, or other benches were also in disrepair, the plaintiff might have a strong case. Which might be why this got bumped to the next level of courts. Or, the plaintiff appealed the last courts decision. The article doesn't say. My guess, the claimants demands are much to high for her actual damages, and she's exagerating her case. Not that I would have any knowledge of such a thing happening in liability cases like this.......
  15. I stand corrected. I thought they bought after the first one was built (I cannot for the life of me remember the name, was it a Superman?????).
  16. Except that RnRC is an off the shelf Vekoma. So that'd be wrong.
  17. Kitkat, I'm going to strongly suggest you sit back and read the forums before posting another thread. This is not a general video game forum, it's for roller coaster and theme park games, models, and "other randomness."
  18. 1.) The RCT3 Help topic is HERE. At the top of this Forum. 2.) Download it? Sounds illegal, you'll get no help anywhere on a public forum for that. 3.) Please read the TPR Posting Rules before posting again.
  19. I just found Robb dead sexy. I could care less about coasters.
  20. ^ It involves Manny. That saga will never be over.
  21. My parents, being somewhat EPCOT nerds themselves, said it wasn't worth it. I've heard that there's one tour guide in particular that really kicks a$$, and I don't think that's who they had. I'm glad we're honest in our relationship.
  22. We visited Williamsburg when I was a teenager. I barely remember any of it. Which means I just need to go back!
