  1. Spider-Man's fireball, the fire on Jaws's water and the torches on Mummy have all been turned off.
  2. They're just a demographic to make money off of. Especially since it's the most prevalent religion. Disney holds Gay Days for the same reason. I don't really like the idea of events designated for a single demographic being held in a public theme park. Why don't they sell the idea to The Holy Land Experience? No evil mummies there.
  3. The Hulk was in House on Haunted Hill. One of the Jaws movies was filmed at SeaWorld Orlando.
  4. Little early to be saying that, isn't it? You can't even see most of the building. From what we can see, it looks a little too nice to me. Not creepy enough.
  5. There's a new update on the site. It's... interesting, to say the least. Body Collectors in particular. Just go to the map for Gorewood Forest (JP) and prepare for a bloody good time! Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Some of the audio is hard to understand, so make sure you have your speakers up while clicking on items.
  6. Wonder why they aren't trying this at UO. It's closer to the disaster, and people actually want tickets for there.
  7. Legend of the Forbidden Mountain? What's next? Legends of the Hidden Temple? Ooh! I just thought of an idea for the next Indiana Jones ride. Too bad AK already has Dinosaur...
  8. Only major ride in the park? Either you're overlooking something or DCA's ToT really does suck compared to ours. :?
  9. Bit of a FL bias... 1. The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man 2. Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror 3. Revenge of the Mummy 4. Splash Mountain 5. Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls 6. Men in Black: Alien Attack 7. Dinosaur 8. Test Track 9. Thunder Mountain 10. Kilimanjaro Safaris
  10. So you can't enjoy the actual event just because the backstory is a little overdone? The only area that will be anything like LOTR is Dragon Forge... which already looks like that in the daytime.
  11. It is. It's Toon Lagoon. Also, Blood Ruins is in a soundstage. I like this year's theme, and the graphics kick ass. I'm just miffed at the seeming lack of anything besides B&T in Toon. The path to the soundstages is also not listed as a scarezone.
  12. Pfft, like they don't have those on the ride... err, I mean... Duck & cover!
  13. I'm sure little kids will enjoy it, but it doesn't exactly fit Walt's idea for attractions that the entire family can enjoy equally. But then again, does Disney build anything like that these days? And, even if you view a new playground at MK as a necessity, it's still obvious it's just a space filler because they couldn't think of something more original.
  14. What do you get from simply walking into the park? The overbearing commercialism?
  15. No offense, but I hate seeing Celebration residents complain about this kind of thing. They voluntarily chose to live in a sprawly subdivision that's right across the street from one of the crappiest areas in the entire Orlando metro. Can't say I'm a fan of Water Mania. I remember going there when I was little, and it was still decent looking. Not exactly the case now. That entire street needs to be revamped. Hopefully whatever gets built on that land is somewhat classier than it's surroundings and it catches on. Right now it's just a poor man.... make that a homeless man's I-Drive.
  16. General upkeep. The park in general seems to keep getting dirtier. They aren't taking as good care of it as they used to. Even the trash cans are overflowing, where before they would not. There are a number of attractions in desperate need of a refurb. And I have to question the decision to build a giant playground on a key plot of land when it's been over a decade since the park got a major attraction. I personally feel recent expansion is just a little much for something that's supposed to be as unique as the Disney experience. It's true that it's been 50 years since the first Disney park open, but that's hardly relevant considering how many of the parks have been built in the last 15 years alone. Of course, we'll never know what actions Walt would have taken once WDW was completed. He may have made it into a rapidly spreading chain himself.
  17. Are we talking in terms of high quality theme park standards, or general amusement park standards? Because if it's the former, I would definitely give MK a failing grade at the moment. Disney isn't necessarily turning into Six Flags, but the way I see it, the more common Disney parks become, the less special each one becomes. Not to mention most of them are spin-offs of DL to begin with.
  18. Huge presence of bad smells in Jax as well.
  19. Well, flying over a Universal park at the end of a Disney attraction would be pretty backwards. Please, hold your applause. No, seriously. I think it would be nice if they made the film about Florida. The landscape might be a little more boring than California, but I find Soarin' boring to begin with... so... yeah. Then again, WDW is much more tourist oriented than DLR, so a world movie would probably be a better idea overall and more interesting than a California film and Florida film combined.
