  1. Ha ha ha.... Now that you've had your fun, I will gaurantee that you never see an Intamin at Universal.
  2. No. Unicorn and Woody Woodpecker are off the shelf kiddie coasters from Vekoma. Does B&M even make kiddie coasters? Mummy's ride system is a combination of Universal Creative, Premier and a few other companies.
  3. Universal has a contract with B&M. I believe they couldn't build an Intamin even if they wanted to. Besides, trying to install another coaster in Marvel, which is really a tiny area, would just make the entire area look like a cluttered Twisted Steel Land.
  4. I'd want them to use the area behind World Expo to recreate Skull Island with a knew Kong as the centerpiece.
  5. Sea World could use a few family friendly dark rides. Aquatic shows, exhibits and thrill rides are an odd mix. Most people who enjoy shows also prefer tamer rides, and they have nothing to ride. There's also not enough rides overall to draw in the ride/thrill junkies who would basically be paying full price for a coaster, a flume and a simulator.
  6. I wouldn't believe any JP 4 rumors. They don't even have an accepted script yet.
  7. Very modern Disneyesque, sadly. And it is the same fear twice, or however many times you get the same drop sequence. :? There's only 4 for chrissakes.
  8. No offense meant, but... I really get a kick out of people who choose Disneyland as their favorite Disney park for reasons like "It's the original" or "Walt oversaw every little detail" or "Walt actually walked there" or "Walt actually took a piss in the Fantasyland restroom". I think you get the picture. None of it really means anything. Being the first doesn't make something better, it just makes it more dated, and in most cases, obsolete. And unless you're a stalker of dead people, I don't see how it could possibly matter where Walt spent his time. [/Rant] Disney Studios Paris seems like a fantastic park.
  9. Hahahahahahaha... oh wait, you were serious? Disney pisses on FL and it's residents every chance it gets. They have to offer us discounts to keep us from marching on their property with torches in hand.
  10. Can you describe the yeti? That's all I really wanna know about.
  11. This seems like a one and only kinda project. Hopefully it is. An Everest clone is the last thing WDW needs. A four park resort should have more things to claim as it's own than WDW currently does. A lot more. It's biggest original, unique draw until now, ToT, is currently being passed around like Paris Hilton. What's really left?
  12. I don't think that fight would last too long. In fact, I don't think any fight involving Wes would last too long.
  13. Which is why Sea World sucks Shamu nuts. (Does Shamu even have nuts? Nevermind. It's not important.) I think these prices are outrageous for any park, but that park in particular definitely isn't worth $60. I literally live across the street from Sea World and have an AP, and it's still the park I go to the least.
  14. Eventually, a time will come when these parks cross the line and guests revolt, refusing to pay. Sadly, it will be a couple hundred years before this happens to Disney, because their psychotic fanbase is too loyal for their own good. Same reason the Magic Kingdom will never ever get another decent sized attraction.
  15. I haven't had a problem with the gates in awhile. It's usually other things that aren't working when I ride. It wouldn't surprise me if there's effects I've never even seen. I never saw water gushing out of the tube right in front of the T-Rex until last year. I also seem to remember the T-Rex being surrounded by fog originally, which I haven't seen in a long time. They need an effect like that, because he's never moving yet when he comes into view. Totally kills the realism.
  16. I definitely would have done something about it right after it happened. Even if it means chasing down the employee and literally dragging him to his supervisor. Complaining is pretty much useless if you weren't insulted enough to do something about it right then and there.
  17. I went to UO on Friday and decided to fool around with my new camera for the occasion. I'm new to this whole photography thing, so bear with me. Not much to report from the parks. I only got on 4 rides (Jaws, Mummy, JPRA and Spider-man) between checking out the Christmas stuff. Mummy was having "technical difficulties" the first time I tried to ride, but thankfully it was working later. I never got on MIB because it was down as well. Damn I'm lucky. :? I noted that the hadrosaur was missing on JPRA. I guess our boat was knocked off course by a ghost? It also appears that they replaced the stegosaurus. It has different coloring and I think it's actually a little bigger than before. There's a sign up for the Driving Machines in Suess stating it will open Summer 2006. They were doing some work in the tunnel and had it partially blocked off but you can still see in. Jaws will be closing again starting... today. It probably won't be open again until Spring Break, which is a shame, because all the boats were full and people obviously want to ride it. Some of the effects were working better than usual, so they don't seem to be completely neglecting it... yet. http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/5097/10002416hc.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/6433/10002432by.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/5043/10002446ek.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/1775/10002465jm.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/451/10002492ii.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/5183/10002519pq.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/8648/10002523eg.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/4864/10002526hb.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/6452/10002532sq.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/2073/10002555ci.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/8789/10002566au.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/746/10002578yj.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/1150/10002581dk.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/7969/10002599rd.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/8228/10002605wa.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/2038/10002610ii.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/9281/10002628gt.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/6500/10002644ru.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/3991/10002658fg.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/4783/10002663sq.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/6228/10002670qk.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/4019/10002681sp.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/2854/10002697xa.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/3230/10002883ef.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/9925/10002924jy.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/9124/10002939kp.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/9118/10003019xn.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/7113/10003055bh.jpg
  18. How is a roller coaster's mechanics the same as a train ride's? :? The themes aren't the same, either: Matterhorn - European Everest - Asian, obviously
  19. Uhh.... it was never NOT barricaded.
  20. Kilimanjaro Safari
  21. Does every new Disney mountain that's built seem like the Matterhorn to you? The two rides have nothing in common besides being mountains and having yetis, who won't even look alike.
  22. Anyone know when the cast member previews are? Original?
  23. There's some serious theming isssues going on here.
  24. Err... It looks like an oversized Haunted Mansion.
  25. They didn't add/subtract any ride elements other than the brand new loading area. However, they replaced the roof and all the old stuff looks brand new (as new as outdated technology can look), which was their goal. It's basically a brighter and cheerier experience now.
