What is your next park?

SFNE next Sunday for Closing Day. -
More or less. Some of the CF parks' pass processing centers are outside the park gates but their system is a lot quicker, instead of putting your photo on the pass itself, it's stored in their system so your mugshot will come up on the screen when your pass is scanned at the gates. Major time saver, and you'll have an active pass the first time you pass through the gates - no worrying about losing a voucher in the park if you bought the pass online. Also, the platinum pass is the same price and can be processed at any park no matter which park you buy it from, where a SF season pass has to be processed at the park where you bought it from before you can use it at another park.

Another good site for tracking is http://www.coastercounter.com. I use them, they also have an iPhone app for updating on the fly.

Confirmed on July 11 - my wife and I brought our Cedar Point Platinum Pass vouchers to Kings Island, no problem with processing. The voucher wouldn't scan at the parking toll booth but since the attendant saw that it was for a Platinum Pass they just manually keyed it in for us to enter as a tour bus to park for free.

For steel - tie between Steamin' Demon at Great Escape and Mantis at Cedar Point. For wood - tie between Mean Streak at Cedar Point and Rolling Thunder aka Rotting Lumber at Great Adventure.

What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?

Goliath at SFNE on Wednesday for Media Day, which was also my wife's birthday! -
I e-mailed Cedar Point with that question a little while ago, they wrote back to me and said that a Platinum Pass purchased online can be processed at any CF park since it's good for admission to all CF parks. Just print the voucher and bring it to the park.

Oldest Coaster You've Ridden
djcyberlegend replied to MSLSM's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
So far - Thunderbolt at SFNE, operating since 1941. Wild One at SFA (1917) is on my bucket list since I never got to ride it as a kid when it was Giant Coaster at Paragon Park. -

Embarrassed of parks...

My wife razzes me sometimes about becoming a roller coaster junkie even though it was her idea to visit SFNE for the first time on the day before our 9th anniversary back in 2009, my first ever ride on Bizarro set the wheels in motion for that to happen... I've since also made a lot of new friends through the SFNE Online fan site - which I discovered after getting home from our first SFNE visit - who are as gung-ho about coasters as I have become, some of them even more so than me...
