  1. What would german fairs be without Huss rides? Mostly harmless.... Take Off is one of my fav flats.
  2. LOL - a ride named "Trabant". Named after the plastic-car from eastern germany?
  3. This fact always amazes me in US parks.... Except for parks in Florida and south California: Cant they do their maintenance off-season???
  4. De Efteling is a great place! Wanna re-visit soon!
  5. Looks like a nice little park with a good flat collection. The Top Spin looks a like a former carnival ride as it still has the faded german sign "Ausgang" on its side...
  6. These reports always soothe me a little: What you've in superior parks we've in superior carnivals...
  7. Like the idea of indoor parks for weather independence - but this one has the charm of a boring business exhibition. Edmonton Mall for example looks far more inviting...
  8. The Wildcat place would nicely accomondate a Maurer-Söhne SkyWheel - but I'd guess this kind of ride has not enough capacity for CP.
  9. Any regular times these insects show up? Good inside-information for travel-planning....
  10. The more I see of Cedar Point the more I want to visit it. Cool that that they keep their petting zoo, so many parks close them down - but cute furry animals rule. So I remove you from the "Friends of Schwarzkopf" list.... P.S.: What are "muffle heads"???
  11. For Europa-Park you can also take a hotel in nearby city Freiburg. From Freiburg there's a good connection by regional train and bus - both operated by german rail DB. The bus drops you directly at park gate and runs every 30 mins between train-station - Rust - and park. Even after park closure the bus operates several hours at 60 mins intervals to service the on-site hotels - so you can even have a nice dinner after visiting the park.
  12. When I was there last year both - music and pyrotechnics - worked fine, so I guess I was lucky. The only problems they had that day were with Revolution - but even if its old at no other park/carnival they had ever problems with Schwarzkopf coasters, even with those quite older...
  13. When I was there last as a kid they still had the amazing Schwarzkopf coasters inside the artificial mountain that sadly burned down. But will re-visit next year to check out all the new coasters and rides...
  14. Daemonen is the only B&M I've ridden so far who's some G-force punch - thumbs up for this one... Will most likely be riding it in one months time again...
  15. The new trains on Speed Of Sound are great. They should be mandatory on all Arrow/Vekoma coasters - with these trains this coasters are actually big fun... Now all that remains is that Vekoma is developing something similar for their SLCs...
  16. June: Linnanmaki, Särkeniemmi, Gröna Lund, Liseberg, Tivoli Gardens, Bakken July: Fort Fun, Safari- und Freizeitpark Stukenbrock, Hannover Schützenfest (carnival with Olympia) August: Hamburg Sommer-DOM (carnival) September: Holiday-Park, Europa-Park, Prater
  17. ...and one guy trying to get a POV vid with an ordinary camcorder...
  18. Fully understand you! My rules on when to visit a major amusement park are quite simple: - not during public or school holidays - not on weekends - not on opening days I mostly try to hit clowdy but dry days - sometimes the gamble doesnt pay off but mostly I love all the ERT I get on those days!
  19. I'd take Harry Potter world first and would head to incredible Hulk in the last hour. If its hot choose between Hulk and that amazingly wet logflume.
  20. The ice-cream bowl looks amazing! But the pizza: Meh.
  21. A Top-Spin how a Top-spin should be...
  22. Thanks for the great pics - especially of Shockwave! Always nice to see the new Gerstelauer train system.
  23. There're doors inside the maze that are changed every day so you never know which way to take...
