  1. Hitler because I can understand German. Would you rather write an essay that is 10 pages about something nearly impossible to write about or one that's 100 pages of your favorite topic?
  2. Just got home from a beach bonfire. Sat around the house most of the day. That's about it!
  3. The only time I've ever seen the crowds truly split and the majority of it not go to X2 is when Tatsu opened. I'm doubting this will happen at the magnitude it did then, but I'm sure a lot will head to GL.
  4. I was born/live in a cluster of a bunch of theme parks, including KBF, SFMM, and Disneyland. I'd have to say SFMM is my favorite.
  5. Starting at X2 could be the best or worst decision of your life. If you get there at opening just a second too late, you could be waiting upwards of an hour. Keep in mind you'll be traveling with the crowd all the way around the park. It always has the morning rush like all of the rides around there (including Viper and Revolution). I'm a huge advocate (haha) of taking the counter-clockwise approach because it guarantees a near walk on for Goliath, Colossus, Scream, and Batman (Batman is closed until Green Lantern opens). Riddler's would be around ten minutes max, and Gold Rusher a walk on. By the time you can get to Revolution, Ninja, and Viper the crowds would have died out at those rides. X2 and Tatsu won't be as busy as they usually are in the morning. That's my usual approach.
  6. ^^ Green Lantern seems to fit into that little corner quite nicely! Track looks great! That whole area should come together with this addition. Did anyone go to the AAA night tonight? A couple of my friends are there now and they said that there wasn't much waiting involved at all.
  7. I don't think its possible to program a flame effect on RCT3, so its all or nothing.
  8. Is the Tennessee Tornado an actually smooth Arrow? I haven't heard anything about it, but I know it's one of the newer ones.
  9. A Six Flags pass is valid at every single one of the parks. I don't think parking passes are, though.
  10. Robb's footage from Insane shows multiple cars on the track (one on the lift, one making its way through the course). I'm assuming this is the same.
  11. That is very disconcerting to hear. I may switch my trip to Thursday when it is dry because I don't want to drive 3 1/2 hours in rush hour traffic (in the rain too) from the San Diego area just to find out the park is closed. Better to be safe than sorry. I also want to ride Superman: Escape From Krypton, which apparently is closed at any sign of rain. It will close if there is water on the track since most of the track is completely horizontal. They would have to wait for it to dry. They don't seem to have any particular policy for this ride in the rain. In all likelihood, it will be open.
  12. Superman closes if a drop falls on the track. Otherwise, probably all will remain open if it is just light. You can get some pretty wild ass rides on Apocalypse in the rain.
  13. Super random question, but before Jay Thomas, how long was Del Holland running SFMM? Apparently too long if you ask most people...
  14. Same! May I please have a custom title? Thank you Fairy!!
  15. Wow! X2 is above Top Thrill Dragster!
  16. I'm wondering where the queue for the ride will be set up. Behind the ride? Looks AWESOME!!!
  17. I think i'll head up to the mountain on Friday, May 20th to check up on progress.
  18. Wasn't Apocalypse also particularly designed to withstand earthquakes better? The wood is very thick in the support structure.
  19. [Edit]: Sorry I didn't click the link in a couple posts above me...
  20. It hasn't been touched since they remodeled it into Gotham City in 1994. I know that for sure, besides of course tune ups and maintenance. I'm glad its getting attention now because it looked quite dilapidated.
  21. It looks like that whole area is getting an overhaul. A much needed one at that. I think that entire area will now come together nicely (once its finished). The round up was an original attraction at the mountain. I don't think it has ever been changed since the day it opened besides color scheme and theme.
  22. The longest I've seen is Tatsu's going out of the entrance all the way down the mountain to Cyclone Bay. Opening season 2006, Saturday in July!
  23. I think the 1,000,000th post was from PAL, but I could be wrong.
