Ah, how nice. How'd you like to miss the fourth if July Fireworks Celebration for being stuck upside down on Firefall for a decent amount of time? -

^You'll need a couple more bags of popcorn to supply you through the rest of this show. I realize you don't realize my connections with CP, so I'll just let you believe what you want to believe. Edit: ^And Andrew, I'm not entirely sure if you follow/post on PointBuzz, but the last two years I've correctly and accurately predicted both Shoot the Rapids and Windseeker, right down to the specific stats. And both of those came from the same exact sources that told me about next year. Once again, I know the right people who know the right stuff. For anyone who knows anything about me on this site, they all know I don't post rumors for the sake of posting rumors. That's not how I roll. This isn't something I heard from the dude at the Pink's hot dog stand, this is rock solid, 100% reliable information. You can get yourself and your sources into a lot of trouble with Cedar Fair by leaking inside information. It's against park rules to tell someone about park plans and announcements, It leads to termination and lawsuits. I realize I shouldn't have called you a liar it was rude and uncalled for however I completely disagree with your "inside information" on Cedar Point not getting anything but Dinosaurs Alive next year. Let me use an example, Canada's Wonderland in 2011 has received windseeker, a 30th birthday paint job on a lot of it's coasters and buildings, over a million dollar starlight spectacular which is the best out of any cedar fair park (and if you don't believe me just watch it) and 2 new small restauraunts. They have also already started clearly building a new coaster for 2012 thats a coaster added between two operating seasons and capital investments inbetween like planet snoopy and windseeker. If Canada's Wonderland can have all this money funneled into it so can CEDAR POINT! Again I have no backing cause I don't break rules on leaking inside information nor do I know anything but my .02cents is if Cedar Point does get dinosaurs alive next year, doesn't mean you can't expect another attraction on top of it. LOL! Against park rules?! To go on TPR and say what aother people have told you?! So I guess it's unsafe to tell people on TPR. This is just too good. -

^You're partially correct but SFKK's model is the one from SFGA and CGA. It's just that the one from CGA is a parts donor. This is interesting because both shuttle loops from the original Mariott's parks have been re-united here at this model. -

Arn't we all just making educated guesses? Steve, while I enjoy his posts and his insights, hasn't shown how to back it up besides saying he heard it from someone. Maybe he is right, maybe he is wrong. We can't be sure about anyone until it is announced. ^ The boat ride surrounds an island. The current way they get guests to the island is by building a temp. bridge forcing the ride to close. ^^ I have a B&M model in my office does that mean my park is getting a B&M? But I agree it seems like a Zac Spin would be a good fit. Oh gee, thank you SOO MUCH for putting that out there! What would I have done if I hasn't had realized that?! We're making educated guesses?! I had no idea! P.S. Thanks for basically re-phrasing what I said. That was really necessary. -

Go ahead and say what you want. Again, you have nothing to back you up. NOTHING! You're just making an "educated guess". You haven't heard from anyone about what's new for 2012. How can you be so sure? -

^Interesting. It seems that they are sort of just being dragged along with other companies these days as their have really been no new additions from Schwarzkopf. Is anyone planning on going to the fireworks celebration tomorrow? Has anybody who has been there in the past know if it will be very crowded late in the day? Thanks if have anyone has information. -
I think a point that people aren't realizing here is that the cars haven't broken in yet. Keep in mind, this ride JUST OPENED. Give it some time, it's not like TPR rode Insane on opening day! I'm sure by the time WCB 2012 rolls around, it will be able to spin Insane-like and everyone will be happy. At the same time, maybe SFMM wanted to make it slightly less "Insane". If they did, it was probably for the fear that people would bitch about how it was too crazy and insane. Either ways, it's still a Zac Spin.

You say the same thing everytime and yet, the answer to everything you say is NO! Knott's isn't going to give up one of their oldest rides that's running great to us! No way! THey aren't getting a giga coaster, they aren't ripping out half of their coaster collection. Most of all, they aren't bringing Tidal Wave back! I'm more happy to copy this post everytime you say this as it does nothing to help this thread whatsoever! Oh, and have I mentioned that none of what you said is going to happen? -

The park has literally gotten no investment from Cedar Fair. The only new ride they put in was a re-location. Which obviously dosen't cost very much for them as oposed to a new ride. -
The Most Shocking Ride Removals

The removal of Invertigo from CGA to Dorney Park really came out of left field. I'm sure a lot of Bay Area enthusiasts will tell you the same. -
I hate stupid "Garageband" programs that kids are in these days. You know, those programs that ghetto music "schools" make for their kids to try and "enjoy? Yeah, those. They sound horible when they perform and the crappy instructors do nothing but make the kids feel bad about themselves all while these types of programs take up their whole summer! They incourage kids to create their own stupid bands that are pointless and they end up quitting anyways because they can't do it. What the hell?

I saw Matt! He was walking with a few other high level employees and had a pretty straight look on his face. Let's hope he won't neglect this park like Kinzel did. I'm pretty optimistic though, he seems like a great guy. -

I went to the park today and have a few things today. - The parks was wasn't corwded (it wasn't dead, just not very crowded) - Grizzly was running one train and probably had the longest wait in the park. - Delirium and Survivor both had quite long lines. - Demon was dead inthe afternoon. I got to marathon it. It was running quite rough today (well, rougher that usual) I'd like to give a shoutout to Christina who was working at Flight Deck and some of Delta Flyer today. She was very enthusiastic and kept the Flight Deck crew going fast. She was also interacting with the guests and ensuring that the ride didn't stack (which is very hard on Flight Deck since it's so short). Thanks again Christina, you were great! Also, Tiki Twirls does have a tiny little sign now. I'll post a picture if anyone would like me too. -

What ride do you operate? Sorry, if this has been mentioned before. That is correct, that is where the Yankee Clipper station was is it was sort of a mirror image of the Logger's Run and the drop on Yankee Clipper was unique in that it went straight down, as opposed to Logger's double dip, with a little jump at the bottom after the drop eneded. The neat thing about Demon for us ride ops was on Saturday when the park opened, we sometimes would start with two trains (but usually all three). Then as the day got busier, usually around noon, WE plus a supervisor, were actually the ones that would add the third train, it was awesome. I always thaough it was kind of funny how when all thre trains would stack, the last train would be stopped partly on the turn before the transfer track, it had to stop it there as if it stopped on the level transfer track we would have to go push it into the station! Ahh good times! Is the transfer track slanted backward meaning that if another train stopped there it would roll backwards? Just curious. -

TPR Bay Area Weekend - SFDK/CGA

Not until next year. It's always held in March and should be the weekend of the 18th and 19th next year. WCB this year was announced a good two months before, so I'd assume around this coming January is when they'd announce the next one. Hope you can go. It's tons of fun! -

^Yeah? Well who cares about stupid markings in the parking lot and future develoment? It's all about Windseeker! Kidding... Honestly, I've never heard of these markings in the parking lot. I've heard about some in Frontierland. This is interesting... Mind telling us more? -
TPR Bay Area Weekend - SFDK/CGA
ABW replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^I mostly agree with you, but you have to consider one thing about CGA. Paramount didn't care for it not too long after it opened as it quickly became a "just there" for them. They could've made it better, but they took out two great (or at least I hear they were great) coasters. Today, the park really has nothing too great aside from their standout coaster that is Flight Deck (I'm talking strictly about coasters here). CGA is a very charming park, it has a lot of flat rides, a good selection of water rides, a water park that's free with admission, and some shows to round out your day. Plus, it's just a clean and safe park in general with great landscaping and lots of trees (something SFDK lacks). It's a great park minus the coaster line up, not many people realize that. They just need a coaster soon and with Kinzel (the one who wanted this park gone as soon as they bought it) leaving, there's much more potential for the park. This could create some pretty good competiton for the local parks (which are both very different). So I think CGA has potential to be a great park, it's just up to the soon-to-be-new execs at Cedar Fair.
