  1. Anybody see the Facebook post on CGA's Facebook page about Grizzly flying through its course? I found that quite interesting.
  2. Well then, I guess they made Grizzly a little "too gentle" eh?
  3. Well, it would seem that people aren't posting excessively on this thread like before in response to the Invertigo incident... Anyways, I don't think 2011 will be a "great" year for CGA, but I still look to getting a season pass for there and enjoying what the park still has. A new how replacing an old one isn't that appealing to anyone really. They could at least keep all of their shows and not just replace them with new ones, oh well. Anyone find it funny how the park kept some of it's worst coasters throughout time while at the same time removing all of the better coasters?
  4. Have you SEEN the ride ops at SFMM? It's pretty much self explanatory.
  5. ^I'm guesing it wasn't anything too speical of a ride.
  6. I think a Dark Ride is the last thing that CGA needs right now. I'm not saying it wouldn't be cool but the park has more important things it could be adding. I think CGA realizes that if they add a Dark Ride in 2012, people will be furious. Also, I'd check your spelling before you post before one of the mods call you out on it. Just thought I'd let you know.
  7. ^This is a really exciting announcement! I look forward to riding this innovative ride on the nearest hot and dry day. I really do expect this ride to also have a great theme to it.
  8. Disneyland Paris. Cedar Point or Six Flags Great Adventure?
  9. Actually, the advertised hieght for Invertigo was indeed 138 feet tall. It's makes it quite obvious.
  10. Nice attempt at a come back but I never referenced wooden roller coasters in NYC. There are other things that make noise. New York City streets on a typical day with constant horns, sirens, garbage trucks, street musicians, beeping from trucks backing up, and shouting matches, etc... are much louder than anything noise made from a roller coaster hundreds of feet away. I wasn't being serious. Hence the emoticon. I totally agree. Californians will bitch about pretty much anything that dosen't even come close to standing in their way. look no furth than the previous few posts for examples of that. We're all in agreement here.
  11. ^Yeah, all the wooden coasters they build around your office buildings. What a pain. For the record, why would Cedar Fair put in FireFall if they were just closing it down? Surely they have some plan going on. History dosen't just repeat itself you know. I'm saving you the pain of having to read through another long argument. Everything that needs to be said has been said. Now let's just wait and see. Who isn't?
  12. Who dosen't? I believe in what Screamscape (Lance) is saying is true!
  13. Lol. This made my day. I wonder if they will name this Maverick clone anything different from its original name.
  14. Something makes me think that the proposed wooden coaster for 2009 will never be built ever. Unless the neighbors move, there's really no hope for that ride being built. You can thank Prudential Realty for keeping woodie a dream. Does anybody know if the layout for that woodie was supposed to be a Renegade clone. I've heard somehting like that before and just want to see if that's really true.
  15. Yeah really I mean who likes this park? It's just old and pointless amusement park that no one likes. (end sarcasm) This park is so overlooked at that it's sort of sad. Yeah, it's not your typical Cedar Fair park, but it's still a nice park. I don't understand it when people say "CGA lost it's charm" because to me it still does. It's really sort of sad. On the other hand, the tallest roller coaster at CGA is now a whopping 102 feet. *sigh*
  16. CGA's situation isn't how GL's situation was. CGA actually has competion from other parks that aren't owned by the same company. I think that there's still much hope for CGA and the very fate of it. Who says it has to turn out the way Geauga Lake did?
  17. I love how everybody thinks that this park is going to die when the park is really just on stand by mode. Yes, if they were to announce a new ride they should do it now but they will get there when they get there. If you're not going to buy a season pass just because of Invertigo, I'd strongly urge you to reconsider before you buy a Six Flags season pass from a company that's mkaing budget cuts left and right. Just a thought. P.S. Somebody on this forum on this dosen't understand sarcasm.
  18. "zomggzzz!!!!! u said that fliught deck is be rough!!!! nooooo itzz tha grreatestt ride innn daaa worllddd omgzz b&ms last like 4everrrrr!!! flight dek is never no gonna die!!!11!! lol b7m foreverrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!' Sorry. I had to. On a serious not, Flight Deck sure looked great in those days. The whole area just looked nicer. Well I guess it's safe to put it this way: 1994>2010.
  19. That jolt is there because of track formation. The train has no choice but to jolt you out of the heartline roll. It's just like Raptor, on the very last turn into the brake run there's twisted track right before that jolts the train back and forth just for added effect. People think that the trains are just shaking because it's just rough there, but actually it has twisted track that was there on purpose. The same goes for Fligh Deck. Also, Medusa is just forceless aside from the Zero-G-Roll. Therefore it's just a butter smooth ride.
  20. Flight Deck? Rough? It's the smoothest ride in NorCal IMO. The forces are extreme, but it's still a very smooth ride. Also, Demon isn't rough aside from the drop at the corkscrew, it's very smooth. If you're looking for a smooth ride then take the fifth or sixth car. Invertigo is very smooth as well. Grizzly is smooth for a woodie. Vortex is the hell of all B&M's. That's what I think from my experiences.
  21. Trains are looking great. It's about time for Gwazi too. Thanks for the TR Zach! Alexander
  22. Vortex woulld more than likely get torn down and not be rebuilt. I'm going to keep it at that.
  23. The theming in the line still mostly works, but I wish they brought back the fog. The operators costumes were pretty cool also. You can see the parks defunct railway just to the left just before the coaster enters the brake run in the P.O.V. This is without a doubt a very cool video.
