It's really a shame that people lose their lives, especially such a young child, because of some stupidity like that. The best thing we can do is learn from peoples mistakes and move on. I'm sure the parents will sue, and rightly so. That won't bring their daughter back though.

^ I doubt that it would be SFMM as they've spent alot recently on X2, Superman and Green Lantern. It could be SeaWorld, possibly KBF or CGA. It could also be SFDK by San Francisco. Other than the Tony Hawk Spinner in 2008, the last coaster they opened, and is still standing, was V2 in 2001. The only other one I could possibly think of is Universal. Orlando got a new coaster this year and maybe they want to do the same in Hollywood. Not sure how they could fit a Mack launched coaster in but I guess it's possible.

I remember watching the show Popular Mechanics for Kids years ago. Canadians will remember it. (The one with the young Elisha Cuthbert). They had a couple episodes about rides and roller coasters that really got me hooked. Shows like that, and Roller Coaster Tycoon got me hooked.

They have a good team for the regular season, but they are missing that playoff grit/experience. When the Penguins won, they had guys like Guerin, Talbot, and say what you want about him, but Matt Cooke plays this type of role well. The Wings are another example. Lidstrom, Rafalski, Holmstrom, Draper, McCarty. You need these kinds of guys on your team and the Caps just don't have that yet.

^Good for them for fighting this. It's awful that places like this are getting the boot after being there so long. If they do go out, at least they will put up a fight.

The only Dinn ride I've had the "pleasure" of riding is The Predator at Darien Lake. I needed multiple chiropractor appointments afterwards. My back basically got slammed against the back of the seat at the bottom of the first 2 drops. I swear if my back had gotten slammed a 3rd time I might actually have cried. It was that painful. That was probably about 10 years ago mind you, and I've heard the new trains have improved the ride.

Very cool. I will have to go check it out next year. As for the name, the 50th anniversary is traditionally known as the gold anniversary, so I think working the word "gold" into the name would be cool.
