Is it possible to get higher and faster? I say yes. That said, I agree with the thought that cost is an issue. KK cost something like 25 million dollars for a 15 second ride. I could see it happening in a place like Dubai or China, where the economy is good.

It took about 6 seconds for me on a 15mbps connection. Maybe it could be faster, but it's not horribly slow either.

Another thing I just thought of. Wooden Warrior is being built at Quassy Amusement Park which is like 30 mins from Lake Compounce. If your up to it, that could be a quick stop for you guys. The new timberliner trains should be good.

I'm considering something like this myself maybe next year, but for more like a four or five day trip. In my case, I would add Six Flags America since it isn't far from KD, and I'd visit Washington D.C. as well. I myself have been looking at staying in Doswell right by KD, since it's in the center of everything. If you just have the 2 or 3 days though, I'd focus on what you have in mind already. SFA while it would be nice to visit if your in the area, BGW/BGE and KD simply have much more to offer. Whatever you do, have fun. I'd be very interested to read a trip report if you do one!

That's a very rough overview but at least it's something. That's more than other recent "plans" for theme parks/roller coasters. It's definitely smart to make this public. He can drum up more support that way. Worst that can happen is the city says no, which they have been for a while now.

I think it was more of a money issue for Dallas. They cut about 2.5 million of their payroll for next year with this trade. With ownership issues still looming there, you can understand the Stars thinking on this trade.

^They would have to beat them in quality and not quantity. Still not an easy thing to do, and it definitely would not happen over night. It would take several years at least.
