  1. I saw them once quite some years ago now. They do come by every so often. Not sure what Herschend has in mind but I'm definitely interested to see where this goes.
  2. A man in control of public transport must be stopped.
  3. That coaster really is hell. Great pics though.
  4. ^ Dammit! That was too fast! Your move.
  5. I'll try this one.. A kid observes the people around him and freaks out the girl next door.
  6. I'm going to remember that day mostly for the insane heat. I remember walking out of the air conditioned restaurant after lunch and it felt like being punched in the face. Summer Adventures was awesome. SFOT could learn a lesson from them.
  7. If I were to guess, I would lean toward a B&M Giga like Leviathan. The 30 million price tag fits. Of course we will just have to wait and see. Sounds like I'm waiting another year to go down to the Deep South.
  8. The sad thing is, that was probably the most fun we had at SFOT. I probably would never have gotten to Arkansas if it wasn't included on the trip, so that was definitely a nice stop. The X Coaster is definitely terrifying.
  9. I was very impressed with how the park took care of us during our visit. It sucks that Iron Rattler was down, but they still did everything they could to make our day the best it could be. Great start to the TR.
  10. I never even saw this! I would have bought one for sure!
  11. Great report! Hope to see you again on another trip.
  12. That's nuts! That area just can't catch a break.
  13. SFOT just issued their official press release here.
  14. ^Cesari's Pizza at Knoebel's is definitely an exception. It is very, very good.
  15. I remember the Bobsleds being surprisingly fun, and Jack Rabbit had a really good double down.
  16. ^How could I forget about Potato Patch? Definitely a must when you are visiting Kennywood.
  17. ^The sausage is definitely very good. BGW in general is definitely not short on good food options.
  18. Great Adventure definitely shouldn't be missed. Another park you could consider as well is Kennywood in the Pittsburgh area. Holiday World is another option but it's pretty close to home for you in St. Louis anyways.
  19. No! A giga would be too much for Knott's (in my opinion). My dream would be for Knott's to build a Verbolten-style ride with a cool story, launch and showroom with a vertical drop. They could easily theme it to Ghost Town, but if it were up to me I would create the story around a Native American legend like Mystery Lodge or put it in the corner of the park and theme it to Bigfoot! I agree with this completely. Maybe a smaller version of a Hyper or a Giga, like something the height of La Ronde Goliath or Walibi Goliath would make more sense. I can't see a 200+ ft coaster being the right fit for Knott's. A Verbolten style ride makes even more sense though.
  20. I tried to be vague, but it obviously wasn't vague enough. You are correct. Your move.
