  1. I wish I could have joined you guys on that pre-trip. Since I have to go back to Texas anyways (stupid Six Flags), I suppose a visit to the Houston area should be on the list. I'm looking forward to the rest of this report!
  2. That has to be the most screwed up coaster I've ever ridden.
  3. I got my 100th on Millennium Force. I can't think of a much better Milestone coaster than that.
  4. Those Facebook responses really are fantastic!
  5. As witnessed with Hades 360, putting Timberliners on a rough ride clearly doesn't fix the ride. Putting them on a new coaster would hopefully keep the ride smoother for longer. I guess we'll have to see how well Twister and Wooden Warrior hold up.
  6. ^Yup, but to be fair, there was more of a breeze on the return trip. They need air holes on both sides of the car!
  7. I must have lost 5 pounds in that thing!
  8. Mean Streak was actually pretty smooth, at least compared to what it was. It doesn't do anything, but it doesn't beat the hell out of you anymore either. Hades 360 was just awful.
  9. It's sad, especially since she was trying to get help. That said, when your talking about substance abuse, you only have yourself to blame for the consequences.
  10. The Bubble House at the fair park was completely amazing! Good on them for having us on such short notice. Pretty much echoing everyone else's thoughts on SFOT. I was not impressed. All three other Six Flags parks we visited were much more hospitable. Just because your world class coaster is down, doesn't mean you have to be crappy hosts. Fiesta Texas was much more hospitable to us. Free beer at lunch and projecting the TPR logo on the quarry wall at the start of the Lone Star Nights show were both really awesome touches.
  11. In all honesty, Mt. Olympus is the only park I've visited that I actually thought I could die. One example: during ERT, the restraint popped open, while locked, when the op was checking it. The maintenance guy came and tightened a bolt or something and then locked the restraint again. I know this happened to at least one or two other riders at the same time. I also opted to go to the back of the station on the go karts so I could get in the station last at the end and not get rammed from behind by the terrible people there. I can't believe that place doesn't kill people on a regular basis.
  12. Finally got a chance to look through this thread today. I would say the biggest surprise of the trip was the Texas State Fair Park. They were really awesome and that Jungle Mouse coaster is completely insane. Little Amerricka were great opening for us, well after the park had closed to the public. Our time at Silver Dollar City was the best park experience I've had ever. Outlaw Run is my new #1 coaster period, ahead of El Toro and I-305. And I definitely have to say I was highly disappointed with Six Flags Over Texas. Yes NTag was closed, but I-Rat was closed too and we still had a great day at Fiesta Texas. I'll have to go back to Texas to get those missed credits and hopefully I'll see some improvement from SFOT.
  13. Pennsylvania is a great place to base a trip around. Knoebel's and Kennywood are great "traditional" parks and Hershey Park has some great Intamin coasters. If you have the time and financial means, I suggest you try doing something similar to the Northeast/Road to Cedar Point trips from 2011. You could start in the Boston area, (SFNE, Lake Compounce, Quassy, Canobie Lake) pass through NYC, (Coney Island, SFGAdv) Philly and Pittsburgh (Hershey, Knoebel's, Kennywood) on the way to Cedar Point.
  14. Do we have confirmation that the bar was indeed touching her belly/bosom and not her thighs? If that is the case, then I would be inclined to agree with you.
  15. Nope, neither of those. This particular movie stars some well known British actors, and takes place in a city in Europe.
  16. I'd be shocked if seatbelts were not added at this point. I don't really know how the ride operates, but from what I've read it sounds like there's no way the train would have been dispatched if the woman didn't have a green light. So the way I see it, whether the restraint popped open, or she just slipped out from under it, I wouldn't put the woman, or the operators at fault for this at all. It would be either a mechanical failure or just a flaw in the system. In comparison, the Ride of Steel accident a couple years ago is almost definitely a case of operator/rider error. Of course we'll have to wait and see what the investigation turns up as well. Unfortunately accident's happen, but hopefully everyone can learn from it and make things safer.
  17. Lets try this one... A man visits a new city with his colleague and finds out he hates the place.
  18. Nope, gonna give it away here. This particular franchise involves racing cars.
  19. Nope, much more recent than the Lethal Weapon movies. Here's the other clues so far. I'd be surprised if nobody has seen this movie.
  20. Nope, a clue, this movie spawned multiple sequels.
