I'm still hoping for an larger Moe's.

I wouldn't seeing an Alice Cooper house at Universal Florida--been a fan of his music since I was in junior high school. When it was new . . . Yeah, that dates me.

^I rode it twice during the Passholder ERT this morning. They were late getting it going because of problems the night before, and it went down again (for the day) at about the time the park opened. They hope to have it running again tomorrow. Like many launched rides, Verbolten is a bit temperamental. I was with Kyle and Company today, and Kyle received a text from a friend of his who had just experienced his first Volcano rollback at KD. On a more upbeat note, Mach Tower is back after its extended downtime last week and has been "rock solid," according to the crew.

I caught Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, which is probably better than it deserves to be. I wasn't impressed with the book, but it works pretty well as a movie. (Mediocre books often make good movies, while great books often don't survive translation to the screen.) It's an amusing piece of revisionist history that manages to be a little more outrageous than Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds.

Thanks for the picutres, Jeff. The Cars Land entrance from Pacific Wharf is pretty damn impressive. I rather like the Red Car Trolley shirt, myself.

They've run three trains on Volcano before (just not for a few years, I think). One train can be held inside the mountain, one in the unloading area, and one in the loading area. At least that's what I recall.

SyFy is missing a great opportunity here. There needs to be a giant-croc or mutant-snake movie shot here now. I'm sure they can bang something together in a week and have it ready for broadcast. Or if they wanted to be different, how about "Mega-Algae v. Fungaroid"?

^The word is they want to redo the station to increase capacity--so they can run three trains on it. But I don't think there's been a "formal" announcement yet.

Finally got around to watching the whole stunt show video--truly amazing! I love the car prominently labeled "FBI"--so much for undercover work.

Now how about that chow at Carthay Circle?

^That's a tough call because the two parks are so different. Efteling is a bit more "awe inspiring" due to its setting and more "Disney like," while Bobbejaanland is so wonderfully quirky. I think I'd lean toward Efteling (and spend the night in their hotel if you can swing it--great place).

Phantasia land is a great, quirky park. I had no idea they were building a huge funhouse. Long live Hollywood Tour!

I think I would've needed some Dramanine for all that stunt driving--that was nuts (but very cool).

Thanks for keeping us up to date on this project, Larry. I've enjoyed watching it unfold and seeing the palns evolve and take shape. Hard to believe that it all started with an old carnival trailer.

^Never been to Switzerland, but would love to see it one day.

That's very exciting news indeed, Larry! The Haunted House looks great all lit up, and I like the idea of possibly adding one new room per year--it'll be Wild Bill's version of the Winchester Mystery House.

I'm reasonably sure that if there had been a slew of coaster-enthusiast discussion boards in 1996, there would've been plenty of complaints about these: Now to get back on topic, how about that Carthay Circle restaurant--sounds awesome!
