  1. Not surprising, as it is pretty damn funny.
  2. I love the layout of this ride--great video!
  3. Grover's Alpine Express
  4. No need to shout, young man.
  5. Yes, make no mention of the Nicholas Cage abomination! You just did!
  6. Yes, make no mention of the Nicholas Cage abomination!
  7. Conch fritters and caramel corn ice cream? Sign me up!
  8. I'm looking forward to Slinky Dog Dash. No one does "family" coasters as well as Disney.
  9. Or you could face the wrath of the Underminer!
  10. I'm looking forward to the new Mickey and Minnie ride. Looks like the Studios is going to be THE park at WDW next year (much as Animal Kingdom was when Pandora opened).
  11. I'm catching Black Panther tomorrow night. I've heard nothing but good things about the movie so far, and I liked the character in Captain America: Civil War.
  12. This wouldn't be a bad thing. As much as I like Buzz Lightyear, I'm all for a new shooting dark ride for Disney--they have enough Toy Story stuff now.
  13. Switch Electric Light Orchestra for Cat Stevens, and I agree.
  14. Really!?!? Those screens are still very high resolution even for being 9 years old and the animation is super cute and fun. I don't even see it being "incredibly" out of date at all. I mean, one of my MacBookPro's that I use every day is only 2 years younger than those screens, and I'm going to assume that Disney used the highest-end tech possible at that time considering they were going to be touched thousands of times per day, so really I don't think they are that out of date at all! I honestly don't get where you're coming from on this one. I always thought they were going for a "retro" Tomorrowland look with that animation, which doesn't go out of style. I like it.
  15. Knott's has been getting better with these special events each year, and the longevity of the Peanuts characters is remarkable.
  16. I'm a longtime premium passholder. I've been locked in at $11.00/month for years, which was quite a bargain. I'm not sure if my old pass is affected by blackout dates (they're a bit vague on that point).
  17. Here are a few more new (and fairly new) joints in the Williamsburg area. Craft 31 This is a burger-and-pizza place with 31 craft beers on tap (mostly Virginia breweries). I haven't tried the pizza, but the burgers are very good. 3701 Strawberry Plains Road Williamsburg, VA 23188 Turn left on Rt. 60 as you leave the park. Take Rt. 199 West toward Jamestown and Williamsburg. Turn right at the Rt. 5 intersection, then left on Strawberry Plains Road. Old City Barbeque This used to be the Yorkshire Steak and Seafood House, but it changed last year. I rather liked the pork belly. Tasty fries and sauce, too. 700 York Street Williamsburg, VA 23185 Just turn left on Rt. 60, cross under Rt. 199, and keep going until you see it on the left. Amber Ox Public House This is an upscale brew pub. You have to love any brewery that names its American IPA "Cyborg Assassin Kittens." I tried the Stone Ground Grit Cake, and it was excellent. The Hanger Steak looked pretty dang good, too. Oh, but did I mention the beer? 525 Prince George St. Williamsburg, VA 23185 This is a bit trickier to get to from Busch Gardens. It's located behind the Merchants Square shopping area near the College of William and Mary. Turn left on Rt. 60 as you leave the park. Turn left on York Street. York Street will become Francis Street. Turn right on S. Boundary. Carefully navigate your way through "Confusion Corner" between Merchants Square and the college--keep going "straight" past Merchants Square. Slight left on Prince George Street (when you reach the Nevis store and the Flower Cupboard shop). Pray that you can find a good parking space nearby.
  18. Hmm--no, I don't think we need two threads that are so similar. Post in the other "five-year plan" thread all you like.
  19. Thanks for the snow photos! I particularly like the shots of Big Thunder.
  20. That's a great photo--thanks! I wonder how the "Can Can" theme is going to work on this ride--maybe VR? Projections?
  21. I've always thought "curled pepperoni" tasted better, too--now I know why.
  22. Robin Hood was a decent ride, but it was pretty bumpy when I last rode it in 2016. I think it's a perfect candidate for an RMC overhaul, so this is great news. Walibi will have Goliath, Lost Gravity, and an RMC--that's a very strong coaster lineup.
  23. There are three across the street, too, but I don't know what rates they charge.
  24. Looks like another great event by Disney. I especially like the Storm Troopers interacting with the guests.
  25. It looked like a ride-on lawnmower as designed by the special-effects team of Star Trek.
