  1. ^^I watched about two minutes' worth, and that was more than enough.
  2. I'm not very skilled at snapping these things, but I still think they're a lot of fun--one of the few spinning flat rides that I like.
  3. Lava Monster rules them all!
  4. I'd be suprised (unpleasantly, at best) if anything came of this.
  5. "Fjord Dragon" is a better name than "Fjord Fairlane."
  6. Although I shudder at the very thought of "Six Flags Williamsburg," I doubt they would do something like that. In fact, I doubt that anything will come of this, but who knows?
  7. Think of this thread as a "debriefing" or a "post-motem" on Geauga Lake.
  8. Let us not forget all the other versions of Casino Royale. There was also a live TV version with Barry Nelson as Bond.
  9. ^You might want to read the first post of this thread for a summary of what happened.
  10. I just want to know his source when he states "the majority of us" loved SOB. Maybe he's a member of an Ohio S&M club.
  11. One of the best coasters in California might disagree with you there. Huh? Pony Express in "one of the best coasters in California"? Or does California Screamin' disagree with this person?
  12. ^She and Miss Scarlet were "having tea" with Professor Plum. The whereabouts of Mr. Green, however, have yet to be determined.
  13. Hamster Coaster is tough to beat in the "cuteness" department, but I agree that Tivoli's Dæmonen is the cutest little B&M ride ever.
  14. ^David, you also wrote something earlier about ranking a coaster based on "rides that you actually got on it." Sounds like that's what you're doing. Well, that's what others are doing, too. I have ridden Phoenix both with and without "glowsticks," and during special events and normal operations--and it was great each time. That was not my personal experience with Voyage, but if others love it just the same, that's OK.
  15. I still say it was . . . . . . in the library with the candlestick.
  16. ^People probably run out of breath saying "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter." I don't blame them for using some shorthand. It is a very awkward name.
  17. ^I agree that J. W. Pepper never should've been in Man with the Golden Gun. That one had a great villain in Christopher Lee, yet they brought back the redneck sheriff and had Bond fight Tattoo at the end--what a waste. What I really disliked about Moonraker was how Jaws went from a dangerous (if comic) adversary to a love-struck buffoon. And I think Octopussy, while hardly top drawer, is underrated (especially when compared to Never Say Never Again, the rival Bond flick that came out at the same time).
  18. I like how he's complaining that Disney gave him more than a "slap on the wrist" for violating the law.
  19. My favorite Bond flick is Goldfinger (mainly because Goldfinger is a great villain, Honor Blackman is one of the best "Bond women." and Sean Connery was the best Bond). I'm also a booster of On Her Majesty's Secret Service--George Lazenby may have been a bit lacking, but he wasn't disgraceful as Bond, and it's the flick that's most faithful to Fleming. I think Roger Moore gets a bad rap. Yes, his Bond flicks were sillier, but that's the direction the producers wanted to move the series (action comedy). I'm very fond of Live and Let Die because it was the first Bond movie I ever saw in a theatre, but The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only were the best Moore Bonds. I think Moonraker is the worst of the series, though--with Quantum of Solace a close second (just a mess).
  20. This is shaping up to be a pretty damn amazing ride.
  21. That is a beautiful picture--thanks for sharing it.
