  1. Williamsburg itself does not have a single Waffle House, which is shocking (nearest one is on Jefferson Avenue in Newport News).
  2. ^Yep--I second Ryan's thanks. I've been gradually updating mine from last year.
  3. I like how they're theming the station. Looks better than the standard Cedar Fair "warehouse" motif.
  4. Pretty sure you and Joey are the reason Where's the Fire is gone! Ah, yes . . . what memories! I'm glad that Leave a Legacy is being moved. While I was never a fan of that "monument," I recognize that people paid to be a part of it, and that it should remain in some form (just somewhere else). The new pavilion sounds like fun, too.
  5. Wow--an already amazing looking park looks even more, well, amazing!
  6. Maybe the motorcycle seat is reserved for Hagrid.
  7. Yep--it was very good ride when I last visited Dollywood, but I understand that it's gone downhill (pardon the pun) since then. Wildwood Grove is coming along nicely.
  8. Bullet Coaster--Happy Valley Shenzen
  9. The best rides at the Universal resort are Spider-Man, Men in Black, and Mummy, but I also like Rip, Ride 'n' Rockit, and was pleasantly surprised when I rode Hulk last fall (first time for me since the rebuild). As for the screen-based stuff, Fallon and Fast & Furious don't interest me at all, but I enjoyed Kong: Skull Island.
  10. They should get a chiropractic clinic to sponsor that ride.
  11. I like Screamin' Swings--one of the few flat rides I enjoy. I'm also happy that they're painting Apollo's Chariot. From the BGW president's Twitter.
  12. You can say the same thing about a school bully who beats you up everyday during lunch: "Boy, that hurt, but at least he's reliable." Getting back on topic, I'll miss Volcano. It was unique, if problematic.
  13. There's a little outdoor bar in Candy Apple Grove near Windseeker that serves cocktails, wine, and beer. KD has their own line of beer brewed by Center of the Universe Brewery in nearby Ashland.
  14. I didn't care for it as Ninja, but I'm willing to give it a shot as Blue Hawk.
  15. I'm not Robb but I visited him quite often from 2001 and started riding Volcano and made sure to ride it on every visit after! I never remember any 'roughness' on it, and it always took my breath away with those launches. I also think it used to have way more down time (late 90's early '00's) and had been doing better up until last season when it was down the majority of the year. Sad to see it go. Speaking as a "local," I agree with this. Volcano was always a smooth, fun ride (with intense launches), and I'm glad that I got a chance to ride it again last spring before they shut it down for good.
  16. While this announcement is sad, it isn't very surprising. I think the law of diminishing returns finally caught up with Volcano. I'll miss this unique coaster, which I always had to ride first thing in the morning before the days of Fast Lane Plus. Those two launches were incredible.
  17. A steal at $375,000! Doesn't look like it would be a pleasant ride, though.
  18. I can understand why KT is interested. The theming sounds pretty cool (leave it to DisneySea).
  19. As a former resident of the San Joaquin Valley, I can vouch for this statement regarding I-5. As for hotels, the Anaheim Howard Johnson's is surprisingly good, and just across the street from the Disneyland Resort.
  20. I like the Edna Mode meet-and-greet. She's quite a scene stealer in the Incredibles movies.
  21. All hail the Beef Wellington and the Panna Cotta!
  22. Indeed! I'm planning to go back there this spring with my brother, my niece, and her boyfriend.
