hmm, you like mantis, at cedar point (your second favorite park) the best.... yet for some reason you rank the ride's clone 4th out of 6? **looks at your avatar** Ooohhh, now i get it! heres my list of B&M standups i've been on, best to worst. Riddler's Revenge Ok, so i've only been on one, but i guess i should say that i loved RR, one of my favorite coasters. lol, robb!!^^^ Nice photo's! especially those extremely morbidly obiece "people" (hey, at least i didn't call them fat, fat is politically incorrect!" I really want to go to a park in the next few weeks, but your SFMM photo updates have me scared for crowds, and ive heard disney gets uber crowded during December, but of all the so cal parks, what would you suggest from DCA, DL, SFMM, or Knotts around now?

oh, man that really sucks, i hope the headbanging isn't to bad! I probably won't ride this coaster anytime soon, as i live in LA, but i really hope it doesn't show its vekoma side... it would suck BIGTIME for disney, and there would be no easy way to fix it. then again, it would serve them right! maybe they'll finally get some more intamins! (i think B&Ms are the better choice, but they are also probably less likely.

the only time i see that back gate used is when they have special events in the theater. The last time i went to knotts was for a cheerleading comp (which i was WATCHING, [but i can do a mean back handspring {hmm what comes after these things>>}]) It went on after the park closed, what they do is they clear out the whole park but that back corner, so it has it's purposes. By the way, an empty, dark Knotts is just spooky, you get this weird spirited away vibe.

Let me say this I'm REALLY lucky i live in LA where there are practically no insects of the flying variety. just your usual mosquitos, flies, and the like. when i went to Utah in an RV a year or so ago i did NOT go outside, not at most of the camps atleast. i did once and was ATTACKED by those damn bugs. i HATE anything with more than 6 legs i would officially have a heartattack if one of these was crawling up may leg...

Morbid Moments?? i was under the impression they were called Unfortunate Events... hmm... Anyway, i might as well start there, i LOVE The series of Unfortunate events books, ive read numbers 1-10, I wanted to get number 11, never got around to it though. Sadly i really don't have the time to read it anymore, i used to read in homeroom, where i sat far away from everyone else (i wasn't exactly on great terms with the teacher) i have since chaged homerooms beacuse i would **sorta** cus out my teacher when he was being an ass (ahem, ALL THE TIME) . anyhoo, my new homeroom i can actually talk to people and we are all already reading the same book, so i dont have my reading period anymore. I also enjoyed the Harry Potter series, i've read 1-6 and thought they were great! great enough to make me get only about 4 hours of sleep before school started the next day, everyday i regreted it!

^^ it seems that a retracking is all this ride really needs, if the earthquake was at fault for making it sucky! I mean, if it was good when it had new track, then that track got f***ed up, just put another new track on! It seems so simple...

LOL! I was being sarcastic! I have never thought Goliath was all the great. It has always ranked as one of the most boring hyper coasters for me. (see below) I mean if you have NEVER been on ANY other hyper, sure Goliath is great, but even riding Desperado the other day, you know a hyper with AIRTIME, something Goliath doesn't have, it just makes Goliath look so weak. --Robb i'm usually good at catching sarcasm. oops. I see your point with Goliath, im AM a person who has never been on any other [traditional] hypers, hell, ive never been on ANY coaster with decent airtime, so i guess i proved you right. But i really do like the positive Gs the ride produces, so i don't think i will ever find it boring as you do, but maybe a little less exciting. next year i guess my opinion might change, as i may be heading around some amusement parks like SFGAdv, Cedar point, and some others, I havn't really planned it yet, but if i go I'll be asking you guys where i should visit! But i have noticed that you and Elissa obviously like airtime more than anything else on a coaster, look at your best woodie ( ), Balder, and best steel, Expedition Geforce, both rides are pretty much centered around airtime, or Bunny hills that throw you out of your seat and not much else, (like helixes, loops, etc). i just realized, those two coaster are retty similar. hill, turn, hill, turn, hill...... yeah, the parkinglot behind the park is useless, but the park wont be getting any bigger i think, rides may cross streets and use that land, but we will not see midways there, had the street not been there it would be a different story.

Would a Batman be considered compact? Well, this i dont thin this is the kind of answer you are looking for But DejaVu is a really great compact coaster. But as full circuit "we really need to jam a full sized coaster in there" rollercoaster... well, i have no idea, but the schwartskopfs look pretty darn good.

Knotts can't compete with disney when it comes to family, and can't compete with SFMM when it comes to thrills. They should really try to become the happy medium. I think Cedar fair tried to make this park way to much of a thrill park. For me, the more intense the better, so that's saying alot. I think they pretty much destroyed the back/far right corner of the park, i just hope the next few installations are family oriented... what? i'm not completely sure. Maybe a S&S topple tower in the ghost town/ indian trails themed to a totem pole. A Midwest themed shooting ride (using existing old buildings, or atleast their facade (sp?). And an overhaul of the "Cedar Fairicized" corner, but that will never happen... Not to mention very difficult.

Robb, I've always wondered if you would like X if it was smoother, i guess not. Im thinking you may have just grown bored of some of the rides at SFMM, looking back at old photo updates, you say things like... "George, Elissa, and Kevin on that AWESOME monster Goliath!" Now it seems you don't like it... What was you first ride on X like? and did you expect much?

well, judging by that poll so far... it's really not going to help your decision at all. But i say leave them where they are! we come to the random board and we know they're here so whay change it? besides i think moving it to another board could reduce the traffic the topics get. example: people who would go to the "stickys only" thread would be looking for a specific thread that they know is there. They would do the exact same thing if they stayed, they know it's here, so they come here. Moving the thread would probably result in the people who just see it by chance to decrease, because they were looking for a different thread that happens to be in the same fourm. In the "sticky only" forum there would not be those other threads. gosh i'm bad at explaining myself!

what is this solstice thing anyway? ive heard alot about it... do you have to be a member of somthing/buy special ticket/etc ?? i'd love to go if i can.
